The Zombie infestation has hit your neighborhood, and is spreading at such a pace that containment is becoming less of an option every second. The good news is that you are faster than the zombies; the bad news, they are everywhere! As you sneak around corners you see zombie bums and zombie CEO's walking side by side, pursuing the same goal: BRAAAIIINNS!!
Far off in the distance you hear a woman screaming, and that seems to get the attention of quite a few zombies that you've been staking out. This is your chance to start running west, where there is a bunker with food and ammunition right by the docks. Just as you set foot out of the alley way you are spotted by a couple of zombies that you can only assume were newly weds at the time of the infestation. They howl, and start chasing you. As you close in on your destination you turn a corner just to be met by the blood thirsty gaze of elementary school zombies, still bent over their recently de-craniated bus driver.
It's a shame too, since the bunker is right behind them. You must now choose to either go north or south, in order to lead the ever increasing horde behind you away so that you can eventually return safe and sound.
Luckily for you, Peter Dolan has developed an application for your GPS enabled phone that helps you spot the zombies before they spot you. Download the application, take a quick glance, and make a decision before you are zombie food.
Zombie, Run! is probably the most fun game/application on the entire Android Market. With just a little bit of imagination, loss of inhibition, and some Nike's, you will soon find yourself running around in downtown, looking back and forth at your phone, and screaming like a lunatic.
Here's how it works:
- Download Zombie, Run! from the Android Market.
- Turn on your phone GPS.
- Open the game, and select Type of Outbreak (How many zombies in a given area).
- Select Type of Zombie (2mph, 5mph, 8mph).
- Start the game, and choose a destination.
- Run!
- Your location (blue dot), destination (flag), wandering zombies (green zombies), and zombies that have noticed you (red zombies) are all indicated on your map.
- NOTE: You will have to be active when using this game. That is one of the main factors that makes this game so great.
Peter Dolan also recently added a multiplayer feature which is still in beta. This enables you to run around with your friends, build fortifications in which you can hide, and survive the Zombie attack together.
Try out this game, it will definitely make the top of your list as well.
WARNING: DO NOT USE WHILE DRIVING.
