this story is creepy as hell, the part where they tried to stop him and all he did was look up and growl, then gets shot and is unfazed, just keeps eating dude's face... very movie-ish stuff.
 
actually there were similar instances (not with them eating human flesh) but of people on the same drugs and they used tasers with no affect.

In Florida there was a Blind man (keep in mind) that was found wondering around naked. When confronted by police, the man started to become physical with "almost super human strength" The blind man was shot with 3 tasers, and was still able to wrestle away a night stick from another officer.

Tasing while the non leathal way, it would have done nothing but perhaps make matters worse. From articles I have read on this topic the officer do shoot the man in a place that would not have killed him, but it did nothing, so following procedure he acted.
 
This isn't what happens to people on drugs.
This is what happens to people that have a serious brain disorder in the first place and then they do drugs.
And I agree that they could have tased him instead of killing him. It's not like they were hacked up against a wall or something.

Very interesting.
In Missouri, they outlawed "bath salts", and it was gone.
For a day or two.
Then it came right back because they changed the formula around a little bit and started calling it "glass cleaner".
The s*** is an epidemic here. People are robbing and killing each other over and because of it. Literally.
We're also number one in the country for methamphetamine.
So we have tweakers frying on bath salts.

And to think that I moved from Cali to get away from drugs and people on drugs...
