Help ZTE VALET won't connect to Wifi

I have a ZTE Valet through Tracfone since Sept 14. Last week it stopped connecting to my Wifi. Yes, I have the Wifi turned on. The Wifi symbol upbove has a little x on it. I get notifications that wifi networks are available. I have pushed the wifi button on the router. When i try to connect by touching my router's name it says that the signal is good, i touch the connect button and then nothing happens. it does not give me an opportunity to put in a password or anything. I am just wondering if i could have by accident turned off some button in the phone that needs to be turned on. please can anyone help me? yes, i am a newbie to smartphones. (even tracfone). i appreciate any advise given in advance.

Try this way. Settigs-wifi then tap on your connection. You should then get a prompt to enter your password.

Thanks for the reply anyway. i couldn't get to the password for some reason. Just in case anyone else has this problem i will print what worked for me. some one on another site recommended just rebooting the phone. So i just turned it off. waited a little bit and turned it back on. then i tried the wifi again and it worked! Who knew that was all it took? Still, i don't know what happened to cause it.
