ZTE Warp Music Player - can't turn off!

I am unable to turn off the Music player. I was told that the player would not play in the background, but that does not seem to be the case. The player even seems to turn itself on. Any clues?

Most services such as the music player will run in the background and will shut it's self off or take very few resources. You can go into your settings and check the apps that are running. You can then manage those apps and force them to shut down. However, it will likely start up again which will take more resources than if you'd have left it alone.
