zte z963vl reset q's??

I have a zte z963vl that was reset when I got it. When I turned it on I connected it to the wifi then it say it needs the last known google account to unlock the phone. And I don't know the account. So I was told I could update the phone with a computer using a adb?

you still need the old account info. They didn't remove the account before resetting the phone.
