Zte zmax 2 headphones

Guys, how do I use my headphones? When I plug it in there's a "headset plugged in" notification but music and/or other sounds are coming out of speaker instead of the headphones.

I was having the same problem with my boost max+(n9521).Iam using an app called SoundAbout until I can get a permanent fix!!
