This is my second try. I am being hacked really bad. Someone is remotely accessing my devices. Even my smart TV. They block phone call, texts and emails. Listen to phone calls and take my picture. I have factory reset many times but everything comes back at install_ even tho i use all new accounts. In have even bought new devices. Any device that comes in my house is somehow being sensed and immediately it is being accessed. I need help. I lost my job, I am losing my mind. They wontnstop. I went to the police and they said it has to be someone close to me. In have over 500 system apps on a new device all by android x and android developer

First off, I DON'T want to turn off Predictive Programming. I've tried that. I want to reset the words it already knows that I taught it in case I give it away to someone. Any ideas?

All of a sudden, I have gotten this anomaly at the bottom of my home screen (green arrow pointing to it). Has anyone seen this before? I want it gone.

I have my work email on my Android using the Outlook App. We do not have Office 365, not sure if that matters. When I update my password for my domain account, I need to update it on my phone as well for my email. I open Outlook, click on the cogwheel, select my work email, but there is no option to update the password. I only have Reset Account and Delete Account as options. I know that I have been able to do it before, but it seems with this version of outlook that option was taken away.

I went into my phone settings>Accounts, and the outlook account is not even listed.

Has anyone else ran into this? I had to delete the account and then re add it.

So I dont have any need for accessibility and Im not a big fan that it has permissions for all my core functions. Is there any way to remove it entirely? An in-depth google search gave no answers and only showed how to stop talkback from turning on. Anyone know how to do this or if there is a way to install a more basic version of the OS? I have a Samsung A8 with 32GB of internal storage and 32GB of SD. I recently connected it to my PC through USB, and ran a PC disk space analyser on it. Everything on the SD card looks normal and understandable, but the internal storage is weird.

Okay, so the internal file system shows only the storage is only 24.1GB instead of 32GB, I guess that's typical for the games that storage manufacturers play with their sizing practices, I don't care about being shortchanged a little. But it shows that 22.8GB of the 24.1GB is used up. I then fired up the disk space analyser program, and it showed that I'm only using 231MB of space on the internal storage: 104.7 MB for Android, 94.5 for WhatsApp, and 19.0 for logs. The rest are just sub-megabyte numbers. So where is the rest of the system hiding? The remaining over 22GB of stuff?

I am waiting on a phone from T-Mobile that might take a month to receive. I want a cheap phone I can buy used that I could activate on T-Mobile now so that I will have a minimal level of cell service while waiting for the real phone. Can someone recommend models I can buy for under $50 used that will be rock solid on T-Mobile?

Shortcut Icons change after Android 11 update

My shortcuts are changing to generic android icons a few minutes after a restart.

Every time I restart the original icons are displayed then then change to the generic after few minutes.

See the attached screen shots.

How can I prevent this from happening?

Hi All
One of my Android devices has stopped detecting its SD card. It won't re-mount.
The SD card has been cleaned and reformatted on both Window and Linux. it is readable on both OS. It is also mountable and readable on another Android device. I have also returned the Android device in question to factory settings, without success.
Any ideas anyone?

the wife just got the tcl20xe phone and i can't get it to use any of the usb selection, it tells me the phone has to be unlocked. that is kind of dumb , what if i need to view phots on the pc using the usb port on the phone?

does anyone know how to get past that? i went into the usb section on the phone and it has charge selected and will not let me change it. so i turned on developer and went to use and it said the phone nas to be unlocked. so now i have to wait 6 months to use the usb port for photos transfer.

While I wait for a new phone from TMobile - back ordered with a month wait - I am going to buy a cheap junk Samsung S4 and try to run that for a few weeks on TMobile's network, until the real phone arrives. The phone I purchased is a Verizon locked phone. How do I convert a Verizon Samsung S4 to be either unlocked or alternately to program it with an OS that is locked to TMobile? Which is likely to be more reliable with a TMobile SIM card?

My mother had been using the Note 8 for a very long time. She has been having some issues. So, I bought her a new phone (Pixel 6). I didn't realize how much grief the new phone would give her. There are three things I want to ask if there is any way possible. I fear a couple may be a long shot. Thanks much in advance for any insight.

1) She is used to the Task Switcher -- Home -- Back order for navigation buttons. I have told her she'll get used to it, but she's quite frustrated over these (what she considers to be major, but most people minor) issues, and anything that could be solved would help. Is there any way to get the task switcher and back button placement reordered?

EDIT: I believe I actually found how to do this one with ADB. I will try that for her tomorrow.

2) She plays games that go full screen. On her Samsung phone, she could long press on where the home button "normally" is, even though you can't see it, and it would take her home. She can't do that anymore. You have to swipe from the right (up in horizontal orientation), and then press home. Again, not a big deal, but she apparently does this A LOT during the day, and plus she is left handed, and finds it awkward to swipe that way, she says. Is there any way to provide this home "area" long press functionality? Open to using a different launcher (already had a look around Nova).

3) Is there any other keyboard app that has the outline on keys like the Samsung keyboard that also offers the height customization and semi-comparable? I know there are a lot of keyboard apps. I like Gboard myself, and I have that setup pretty well on there for her, but she did really like the way the Samsung app "looked".

So I went to the pool today and it was 96 degrees out. I put my phone in my backpack thinking it would be safe but when I was done I took it out and the it was super hot. My screen now won't turn on. I know my phone is still on because it will vibrate when I get a notification and will occasionally be a slight white flash on the right side as well. It sucks because I can't even turn the phone off to let it cool down. I'm assuming it overheated but I don't know if the phone is toast or what. I guess I could drain the battery but that could take ages. Any suggestions on what to do?

Just upgraded from S21 Ultra to S22 Ultra. Performed transfer via included cable. One of my Apps' icons (Getupside gas) is not showing on any list, but I can see and access it through Google play store. Also cannot seem to find "Samsung voice recorder". Any help is appreciated.

I have an A52 but no category for that. I get lovely sunrises with lots of red in sky but through lens of camera as well as the picture result, shows golden. Really like to capture the red in the sky.

Went into settings - Display and set to LIGHT and VIVID. White Balance set at full on to WARM. Max for R and G and half way for B. Adaptive Brightness is on. Brightness set at 50%.
Any suggestions really welcome. Not hugely tech minded but can do OK with tips .

Can the noto-emojis be used as part of the app design? For example, a guessing game to name the emoji? Is attribution needed? If attribution is needed, where should it be placed within the app? About section?

Sprint Galaxy S9 issue on startup. At startup phone goes into an activate mode and then says activation failed.
I believe it is attempting to activate Sprint. I do have service on a different carrier but I would like to get this issue fixed
