Help Dodgee N20 sharing internet with pc slow

Some time ago I broke my phone screen really bad so I decided to buy a new phone. As my budget is limited, my choice was a Dodgee N20 that took its time to arrive.

Since I have unlimited data I use it as my pc connection daily, as its less expensive and faster than any other internet options.
When I used the last phone it worked perfectly fine, I could even stream with no problems at all, downloads were fast, I had great ping while playing games, everything I might ask for a direct connection to a computer, but when I changed to this phone, it started being impossible to do.
I cant play any online games, downloads start at 1.4Mb and slow down to 600Kb~ and don't even mention streaming...

I tried everything I could, activated dev mode and changed settings, restarted my APN's, restarted the phone 300 times, went in recovery mode twice I don't even know why, I'm quite mad with this and I'd like to use my internet again in my computer without worrying on ruining my experience while playing or whatever.

Connecting phone with an audio interface (focusrite)

Hello.

I am trying to connect Gakaxy J7 ((2016), Android Version 8.1.0) with an audio interface (focusrite scarlett solo 3rd gen) connected via an usb hub powered by a powerbank.

My phone only gets charged. There is no option to transfer data. Also I cant transfer data with this setup, when i connect 2 android phones to usb hub, because the both only get charged. When i connect my phone to pc, i get to option to choose, what i want to do with the connection (data transfer, charging, etc.)

The setup looks like this: https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.freshd...5M7xg2045BugL3sKETx9RQxB7aLDw.jpeg?1586835346

When i connect this setup to pc without the powerbank, audio interface works just fine but via pc. Audio interface is getting enough power too, which means that there is no hardware issue in the setup.

Guys, do you have any idea, how to swith from phone charging to data transfer?

Help Sleep option becomes unresponsive

I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, it has been rooted for about 5 years but this problem is recent. I have it set to sleep at 10 minutes of non-use but instead of sleeping the screen briefly turns brighter, then locks up & all apps were closed as if it had been restarted. I can unlock it again & open my apps back no problem, but after it does that I cannot lock the screen again. The power button won't sleep it & apps to close the screen only put it back into lock mode but the screen stays on for good. The only way to fix this is for me to hold the power button to restart it. This is really annoying as I usually use my tab for reading. Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone found a solution? Thanks!

Help - com.android.settings disabled

I am having issue with a custom android device loaded with an MDM that enforces the device into kiosk mode. The device will work and then eventually freeze at the android logo bootup screen. I was able to investigate that the issue was the com.android.settings was being disabled in the failure case. Does anyone know why or how this package com.android.settings can be disabled when configured in kiosk mode.

thanks

Phone running out of space but don't know how.

My phone is running out of space (119/128GB used) but it's not showing me where. I went into the storage menu and added up the videos, photos, apps, etc in the catagories but it's not adding up remotely close to the 119GB it claims is used up. I have a 500GB sd card that I keep most things on to avoid this mess and if I run out of space on the phone, it's not going to run. Where is the space being taken up, how can I fix this? It's so frustrating.

Help Retrieving Data From Screen Locked P20

Hi - wondering if anyone out there can think of a solutions to this...

So, my wife cracked her phone screen (Huawai P20) and bought a cheap phone to use short term while we worked out a replacement (Alcatel 1). When setting up the temporary phone, not all of the data from her P20 was install/copied, mainly because there's not enough storage space to hold it all.

Some of the data left on the P20 is really important (downloaded documents/files and pevious whatsapp history), so I was going to hook it up to a PC and grab all the data from it, but the biggest problem is she can't remember the unlock pattern. I know developer mode/USB debugging is not turned on, so I can't even get a PC/ADB to recognise it, plus I've had to connect it to a mouse and monitor (via HDMI/USB adapter) to even view/control the unlock screen.

I'm pretty sure that without the pattern we have little or no options, but was wondering if anyone knew the answers to the following:

  1. Is there any way to unlock the phone using the old PIN that was set (she's confident she knows this)?

  2. Is there a way to unlock using the finger print sensor (even though is says 'pattern required due to restart')

  3. Should ADB list it as a device even though USB debigging is turned off and the phone is screen locked (currently does not list it, but I thought you could PIN unlock via ADB)

  4. Does anyone know any other tools/options for accessiing the files on the phone.
Thanks is advance for any help!

Add feedback to my calls?

Ok, I'm working from home. My kids are home now too. Sometimes they get loud. I was using aftershocks for phone calls. Those don't block your ears at all. But, with the occasional noise that distracts me, I bought over the ear muff headset so I can block noises that distract me. But the problem I can't hear myself at all when calling. I read a while back that home phones have a way that make it so you hear yourself a little bit so you're not so loud talking. With the aftershocks, I could hear myself talking so it was fine that the feedback wasn't there. But now I can't hear myself talking (or very faintly) which makes talking very unnatural. Is there a way to turn some feedback on so when I talk, I can hear myself a little bit?

For Android App Developers!

Their is a reason why im asking my wonderful app developers who are very skilled when it comes to building android apps, this question involves a app called "Phlokk" ill be posting about it later but the major question is:

In what time frame it takes to typically build a fully working application just like tiktok?

For those who are interested, Tik tok 200 days to build a fully featured app and overtime it got better with updates for the core experience this was made less then a year.

What do you think it would be a unacceptable time frame that any app would take to develop the first stable build to be released to the public?

So here is an example tik tok took 200 days to build their own stable app and release it to the public for free.

If another app similar to tik tok was going to do a similar approach to tik tok but has their own design but same concept that tik tok currently has in place how long should they be expected to release their app if they went the same steady pace as tik tok did with other volunteered developers to assist building the app?

Phone memory disappearing

Hi,
I have a work phone. Once setup, including an SD card I had a fair amount of apps on the phone and about 1.5 gig space on the phone, but gradually (over 3 years) the space has disappeared. All downloads removed, no photos, screenshots, large files, unused files, duplicate files, unnecessary files and I have deleted the thumbnail file.
I gave gradually deleted less used apps off the phone, then ones that are regularly useful as space continues to disappear.
It seems some part of the operating system or app has an ever growing log that is not being cleared.

It is worth noting that I bought an A3(2017) for myself and it had the same issue. Eventually I swapped it for a Gakaxy S20.

Any ideas what I can do?

Thank you.

Another fine mess

Now the Moto G Stylus is doing that sick Android thing. I would include a photo of that but it's shifted to bar codes, which I have pictured. On the "surgery" screen it says something about oem locked. How do I fix this thing? How do I get an openable phone?

Now it's gone back to the "main" screen. Here are two photos of that. Do I have to try to reset it?

Help with my locked phone

Hello all, been after help for a while but randomly I have a back up phone. Ages ago I got a new Wileyfox Android phone and the headphone jack started playing up after a few months. They tried to fix it, sent it back but it was still wrong. So they sent me a new refurbished phone.... however they had still kept the bloody android pattern lock of who had previously set up the phone! Now they tried to sort it out over the internet but it became more and more frustrating and in the end they just sent me a new phone. But they never got me to send the locked phone back. I am wondering now if I could unlock it somehow? I have tried factory reset but that doesn't work! I tried looking online but no help - which would make sense. Usually if you are trying to get into a locked phone it is for dodgy reasons! I tried checking some YouTube videos but got nowhere really. Do you think it is something someone might be able to solve or help me with? Thank you! Would be great to be able to go and use that phone instead as my latest phone is also being a pain!

Thanks all
CDA

I Hate Google

I hate Google!
Did I mention that I hate Google?

So, after a nightmare of trying to get a damn phone just to do phone things, it seemed that I had finally succeeded- well, at least the stupid thing could make and receive calls- sometimes.
Sometimes even texting worked.
Data was basically non-existant, thanks to T-Mobile deciding that I was roaming whenever I left the house.

Of course, I couldn't use data- but that never stopped all the useless Google baboon apps from gobbling up tons of it with apps I never use (or wanted, for that matter).

Anyway, since I got the piece of poop, it has nagged me endlessly about some 'security update' and how it is now ** days overdue.

I have all that auto-update crap and auto system update turned off, at least whatever I could.

So the night before last, I go through and update my apps and then because newer versions of Android make it so damn difficult to clear the app's caches I restarted the device.

When it booted, it told me that it was going to install this 'security update' in ** seconds.

No way out of it, tried pulling the battery and everything.

As soon as it booted the next time, same thing.

Pissed off, I fell asleep.

Woke up this morning to an new device- gee, thanks alot, Google.

The bastards only 'updated' every rotten Google app (I use NONE of these) to huge sizes and added God-Only-Knows what new permissions.

Not only that, the turds also 'updated' the PlayStore, and this new version has no history of recent updates.

So I am using UpToDown and ApkPure to go through these worthless apps and downgrade them to the original versions.

As if that wasn't bad enough, I open my G-Mail and discover TONS of spam!
This is all new, and from after this 'update'.

I will never, ever be 'updating' any of my devices again.
Another forced one like this, and I will say goodbye to my Google account altogether.
I am real close to taking the account off of this device.

They updated almost every single user app that I have reason to not update.
And then they don't even have the balls to let me know which ones.
They leave that up to me, to waste my day off doing what I had just done to this phone- AGAIN.

So now I have to spend all day going through and resetting the device all over again- the device that I just did that to a few weeks ago.

I HATE GOOGLE!
