Confusion About Apps To SD Card

Hello Everyone!

I apologize for yet another Apps To SD Card question, but after reading all I could find here, I'm confused about the proper formatting for the SD card to allow some apps to go to the SD card.

I have a Moto G Stylus using Android 10. When I check Settings > Storage, it shows the SD card as "Portable Storage". I've installed many of the same apps that were on my old phone using Android 5.1. None of the ones that were able to be moved to SD on the Android 5.1 phone can go to the SD on this Android 10 phone. Actually, I checked all apps & no apps can go to SD. The option does not exist. The SD works, as I have some documents, music & photos on it already, but no apps.

I check this way:
Settings > Apps > Show All Apps > Tap an app to bring up it's information.
There's no where to choose "Move to SD".

What do you suppose I'm doing incorrectly? Is the card formatted incorrectly to store apps?

Thank You All very much for helping me figure this out. I appreciate your sharing of knowledge.

Please Enjoy Today!
Paul

How To Move Picture Albums to SD Card

I watched youtube instruction on moving pictures from main internal storage to SD card. But the phone process appears to be backwards. After going to File Manager, opening the folder (in this case a picture album) and selecting everything, Android says "select location to move". That doesn't make sense - it should be asking for location to move to - i.e. the folder in the SD card to which I want to move the albums' selected pictures from internal storage, not asking for the location to move.

Earbuds Pause/Next/Previous is buggy

I've had a Samsung J7 for about 2 years. I have a 32Gb MicroSD card for mostly music, and have about 25Gb of MP3 files on the SD card.

I've been using the Muzio app (previously called Beats, but they changed the name about a year ago because of a conflict with something else called Beats). I've used the app for almost the entire 2 years I've had this phone, and, until recently, the wired earphone/buds performed flawlessly.

The earbuds have a 3 button control on the wire near the Right ear. The middle button is used to pause (one quick press), advance to the next song (2 quick presses) or go to previous song (3 quick presses). The other 2 buttons raise and reduce the audio volume.

A couple weeks ago, the middle button started behaving strangely. If I pressed it once, I'd hear a rising beep and the music would pause for a few seconds, but then resume without another press. If I pressed it again before that, I'd get a falling beep and the music would resume. If I hold the middle button for a long time with the phone unlocked, I'd get the time. When the phone is locked, I'd get the time and a message that I'd have to change something in the settings to view notifications when the phone is locked.

I'm not aware of any changes or apps I've installed in the past few weeks to cause this odd behavior. I've even tried 2 other sets of earphones, but the behavior is the same. I've also restarted the phone.

I am contemplating uninstalling the app and reinstalling. If that doesn't work, I'm reluctant to reset the phone because of all the setup I'd have to do to restore it to current configuration.

I'd be grateful for any other suggestions.

TIA
Ken
