ADB reverse and TCP communication

I have Android Studio 4.1, with ubuntu 18.04 in a VMWare Virtual Machine on a Windows 10 laptop. I have connected (using USB3) a Samsung Active 2 Tab up to the laptop (USB3) and Android Studio communicates with it. I can get an app to run on the device from Android Studio and with the help of ADB's command reverse, I can create a server in an Ubuntu terminal in the VM that the app on the device can then read from using Sockets.

First thing I do is:

The client code on the device is simple:

The server in the Ubuntu terminal is even simpler:

logcat in Android Studio displays the response the client gets from the server:

So my question (whew, sorry about so much blabber above):, is this actually a TCP operation or is adb doing the actual bridging (listening and doing some sort of loopback) with the network traffic? In other words, can USB3 actually have a TCP connection?

Hello ím writing here because i forgot the car driving game name. In this game you have to make product and you need to deliver to the finish in the highway.You can Both use steering wheel or arrow to control tha car. You can buy alot of car. Thats all i remember from the game :(

Unlocked or Verizon - can I move SIMS?

Current Pixel 2 XL user and ready to upgrade to 4a. Best Buy offers two options:

- Verizon, for $300, but pay Verizon the $40 activation fee
- or unlocked for $350, but have to move the SIMS from my current Pixel 2XL to the new phone

Even though I've been with Verizon for 16 years, I may switch. So should I go with unlocked? Is it really easy to move the SIMS card from my Pixel 2 XL to the 4a? Is it true Verizon won't charge me an activation fee if I do that?

Need help choosing which option.

Personal Ringtones on Nord

Hi

Just bought a Oneplus Nord, how can I upload my personal ringtones, they are present on the phone in Dropbox, but it can't see them to use.

I've plugged in to Windows via USB but only five files show

adb_config_Linux_0SX.sh

Autorun.inf
Oneplus_setup.exe
Oneplus_USB_drivers_setup.exe

None of which are any use to me.

My daughter has a different Oneplus and has no bother, she's looked at mine and it's different when plugged in.

Help Transfer ringtones?

Hey guys, I've been using an S9+ and have been using the Rise notification sound and the Space Funk ringtone. I just got a new S20+ and those sounds aren't in there. I looked through the internal files using file commander but didn't come across anything.

Does anyone know where these sounds are stored so I can copy them to my S20+? Thanks in advance.

Transfer data from old phone to new phone

Hello,

I have an old LG G3 that I want to replace with a Galaxy S8.
I used the SmartSwitch App while connecting the two phones to the same USB cable, but it didn't transfer the call log and text messages history, not to mention WhatsApp's history.

I tried using MobileTrans in demo mode, it's not worth the effort, it doesn't do anything. I also looked into Dr. fone, but both require a payment, I'm looking for something that I don't have to buy. Why should I buy a software when I'll be using it only once???

What free software on a Windows 10 PC or App on the two phones can I use to perform a complete transfer, even if it is in two stages?

Regarding The IMEI

3-4 years ago, I checked my phone (Lenovo A1000) to see if it's not fake/clone using IMEI checker. Now I may not remember which site it was (could be imeipro.info or imei.info), but when I had put my IMEI, a different device showed up. Which is Lenovo A1000 IdeaTab.

I tried it again today, fortunately, it showed the right results now. But I still am bothered why did that happened. Is my phone really a genuine?

Finder question, keyboard not showing up as default !?

Just swapped my Huawei Mae 20 Pro with S20 Plus.

When I open the Finder app the keyboard show up automatically and Im able to search without clicking the serarch field.
However, when I swipe down from homescreen it opens Finder, but then I need to click the search field for the keyboard to appear.

Why is that ? I want the keyboard to automatically show up.

Anyone know ?
