Help Stuck In Recovery Mode, Power Button Not Working

I have an Android tablet operating on 7.1.2, model is a MAXIMUS 3.0, which is designed for Automotive Diagnostics on an open Android platform built by LAUNCH and distributed by Matco Tools. For a few months now my power button has been unresponsive, today the tablet just randomly rebooted itself while I was currently using it and ended up going into recovery mode. Now it is stuck on that screen due to power button not working.

I have already opened the back up and tried disconnecting the battery, pressing the physical power button on the circuit board, and have visually checked the board and all printed circuits for any signs of circuit failure.

Tablet is not rooted, debugger is unfortunately turned off, and I do not have a computer or laptop at the moment to connect with.

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it, not having this tablet severely limits my diagnostic capabilities on vehicles due to how much of a vehicle is computer operated now days.

Reviews I've got the 4a - AMA

Hey guys,

I've spent a few weeks using the new Pixel 4a as my primary device, and I've got to tell you that this phone is awesome.

I've used every Pixel released so far and this $350 beauty is quite possibly my favorite. The OLED display is visibly larger than that of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 4 while the phone shares roughly the same physical dimensions, and it looks fantastic. The Pixel Imprint fingerprint sensor on the rear is quicker, easier, and more reliable than the Pixel 4's problematic Face Unlock (and it even works while wearing a mask!). The 4a also has a larger battery than any of its non-XL predecessors, and as a result I haven't had any power woes. It also packs the fantastic camera experience we've come to expect from the Pixel line.

It does compromise a bit on hardware to hit that sweet, sweet price point: The 4a lacks wireless charging, Active Edge (squeeze for Assistant), and an IP rating for water resistance, and it comes with a slower processor - but it still brings 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. But it doesn't compromise on the software experience - even bringing Pixel 4 features like Ambient EQ, dual exposure controls in the Camera, car crash detection, and the New Assistant experience. Using the 4a doesn't feel like a budget device in any way.

With the -a series, Google drops the pretense of trying to compete with flagship specs (because, let's face it, they can't) and instead just provides an overall experience which is unmatched on any other device - regardless of price point. I can't recommend the 4a highly enough. It's a Pixel phone for everyone.

So what questions do you have about the new Pixel 4a? I'll try to answer anything I can!

Bypass in app purchases

There are some apps out there that allow us to bypass inapp purchases for games and other apps. However with every update they patch things and enslave us yet again.

I propose we all come together to develop a new bypass in app purchase app.

Heres my idea of what this app should do.
Run the app then select app you want to get free purchases with. Patch the final destination of where the dollars go to.

You still need money however technically its still in your possession but in another account. Its like your sending money to yourself but through the app you wanted free stuff from.

The bypassing inapppurches app will have you select the app you want to patch then you enter your own account details or certain website that will reroute the money back to the user who wants free app goodies.

Lets call this app freedigicont.apk
Whos in?

Bluetooth - Two Issues

Hello everybody,

Week ago I got LG V40 as a replacement for G7 that got swollen battery. Thanks to LG's 2nd Year Promise warranty. They didn't have G7 and offered me V40 which I gladly accepted. The phone looks like brand new, but I am sure it was probably refurbished.

Everything works, including Bluetooth, but I have two issues.

First issue. When the phone is paired to Uconnect in 2017 Pacifica minivan, or any other device, there is no Bluetooth symbol on the notification bar.

Second issue. When the phone is paired to Uconnect in 2017 Pacifica minivan and I use Google Maps navigation there is no voice guidance coming neither from Uconnect nor phone itself. When I disable Bluetooth I can here voice guidance from the phone. I connected phone to my 2011 Hyundai Genesis and started Google navigation and I could here voice guidance from the phone. So, I assume it is more Uconnect issue.

I searched Internet but couldn't find anything.

Any help appreciated, especially with the first issue.

PS
Forgot to ad, it is Android 9.

Upgrading android version

I have a Blackview 9900 which is using Android 9. There are a few features I do not like, and want to upgrade to Android 10. The manufacturer (both on their website and on my device in settings) offers no OS updates yet at this time, and they tell me they have no idea when they will. Is my only option for getting Android 10 to root, and if I root won't there be a chance my device will be a brick afterwards? Thanks for your help.
