Help Viewing PDF with embedded video

Hello Forum Folks.
I'm looking for a way to view pdf files with embedded video on Android devices from within the Dropbox window. I will be happy to send a a link to the file if necessary.,.... For clarification....This file is readable with video, only in the dropbox window on iOS devices, however, in my tests, android can only view the pdf and not play the embedded video. This all takes place still inside of the dropbox window, not downloading the file...I realize that Adobe Acrobat Pro can view the file but everyone does not have this app.... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Funkyrick

Solutions to USB, Fingerprint problems with S9+

I've had my phone for just over 2 years and its starting to fritz..

The fingerprint scanner's coating started to peel. I had to delete and re-scan my print to get it functional again, but in the end what I did is gently rub it with a cotton cloth [ handkerchief ] and removed the remaining coating. It now works reliably again. What a royal PIA this was until fixed.

I had a few random USB charging port "moisture detected" issues. I followed each of the suggestions below that I found around the intertubes, and I believe that the first time it corrected by accident, while the second time I found an actual solution. I believe this is being cause by looseness/damage to the male charge pin in the charging port causing a short that triggers the moisture sensor alert.

TRIED but did not work:
Blasting with air
Putting in AC vent
Different charging cables
Multiple restarts
Apps / Show System Apps / USB Settings / Storage / Clear cache
Apps / Show System Apps / Android system / Force stop
Removing 'recently installed or updated' Apps

Note: Would not charge even with phone powered off.
Had to get a wireless charger as phone went completely dead

WORKED:
Inserted probe under bottom edge of male connector w/in charging access port on phone and gently pried up ever so very slightly. Accepted charge immediately after doing this.

A better design for the charger port would be to have no free play up/down but instead a snug fit of the cable into the port.

I hope this helps others.

How do you set text and trigger onItemClick() of an autoCompleteTextView?

Code:
 autoCompleteTextViewFreqFunction.setText(function);

            autoCompleteTextViewFreqFunction.performCompletion();
This successfully selects the text I want.

The problem is, I have some code that needs to be run after an item is selected and I am unsure how to go about it.

I can call code when an item is clicked, but not with performCompletion(). Id there a way to listen to that?
Code:
        autoCompleteTextViewFreqFunction.setOnItemClickListener(new AdapterView.OnItemClickListener() {
            @Override
            public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> adapterView, View view, int i, long l) {
                if(arrayAdapterFreq.getItem(i).toString().contentEquals(getResources().getString(R.string.Constant)))
                    // setUp GUI
                }
            }
        });
        textInputLayoutFreqFunction.requestFocus();
    }

I could call onItemClick() explicitly, but how do I get the id of the text that was set?

Finding User-Created Android Folders on PC via USB Connection

I have a few user created folders containing photos & videos on my One Plus 6. I want to transfer these to my PC and free up my phone memory.

When I connect my phone with my PC via USB cable, I am unable to locate the specific folders in which these media files are located.

How can I find these folders?

P.S.: USB file sharing is on, just in case anyone was wondering....

Help Upgrading from 2016 Moto Z and away from OLED?

I'm looking to change brands away from Motorola, and for a phone that doesn't have an OLED display. Motorola/Lenovo gives up tech support way too early on products that haven't stood up to real-world long-term use; their customer service responsiveness hasn't been very good. I swapped out the OLED display on my phone twice; each time the uneven brightness levels caused a noticeable difference in image quality due to the burn-in thing to which OLEDs are prone. It's like we're back in the old days where you'd have to have screensavers. The Moto Z originally sold for less than $300 when it was released, and the resolution on it is 1440x2560. I'd like to at least hit that minimum resolution. My minimum budget is $300. My max budget isn't well-defined, but I don't want to go higher than $600, since apparently manufacturers stop RMA-ing stuff within two years of a phone's release and I'm a magnet for accidents.

I've had my Moto Z for at least two or three years. About four months ago, the battery on it started failing, so I replaced it with what was available on the used market, since Motorola had already stopped supporting it and no new parts were available directly from Motorola. Replacing the battery didn't fix the problem, and it's up to speculation what the problem actually is, since Motorola has given up on any tech support for it. The battery I've got in the phone might be faulty; it's alarming and potentially dangerous that the battery has expanded in size enough to make a gap between the case and the display where I already sealed it with electronics adhesive.

Since July Update I have a permanant notification that 0 apps are using mobile data

Since the July security upfate I have an additional silent and non removable notification warning of app usage of mobile data usage.It constantly reports tyhat 0 apps are using mobile data.
Anyone else seen this and think it is rediculous and should only appear if there is at least one app doing so?.

The drop dopwn notification title reads: Apps are using your mobile data
The detaials read: 0 apps are using your mobile data.

There are 2 scenarios:
1. The error is always displayed when mobile data is enabled.
2. The android system has detected mobile data usage but the usage has been masked from the log so reports zero in the usage message. Detection and reporting should use the same code but, sadly do not often do so.

Recommend a cheap waterproof device?

I'm looking for an Android device (either a phone or small tablet) that I can use in and around the pool to work with my Harmony Remote Hub and Logitech Squeezebox audio system. Pretty much all it needs is Bluetooth and Wifi, I don't need any sort of carrier. Even battery life isn't that critical, just a few hours should be just fine. It can be new or used. But it has to be the sort of thing that will keep working if I drop it in the pool, and it should be viewable in direct sunlight. Short of putting it in a waterproof case, is there any such device?

Backing Up Android to Computer Without Google

I would like to backup my phone to my computer (first choice) or at least to SD card (second choice). I don't want to have to manually copy files (though I do this for new pictures to computer). I want to have phone backed up so that it could be restored, just as is done with the computer. I looked at Acronis Mobile but all of its reviews that I saw said it was terrible (unlike the Acronis computer backup programs which are quite good). I do not want to use Google for obvious reasons.

I saw a list of programs
https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-backup-android-phone-to-pc-4769775 that will backup everything to the SD card and/or to a computer but I don't know which are reliable & good. Any suggestions, please?
