Instagram videos get blurry when uploading

I have Huawei P8 Lite (but same problem with P6). When I upload videos to Instagram they all become red and blurry. (sorry, could not post a screenshot of it, since I'm new here) If I try to upload some old videos on the phone, they are perfectly fine. tonos de llamada gratis
But there are no difference in the way they're recorded. If I log on my Instagram-account on another phone, there are no problems with the uploaded video. Also on my phone, in preview mode on Instagram it's totally fine. I don't use any filters or anything. Even boomerang-videos get this blurry effect. Please help me, I've just started to really enjoying Instagram, so this is very annoying.

Help No YouTube icon

Have just purchased a Galaxy Tab S6 SM-T685. During setup I must have pressed some wrong buttons as I have a problem with the YouTube app. It appears as an installed programme in Settings > Apps, but there is no icon in the main App page, and the only way I can open it is via Settings > Apps > Open. I have cleared the app cache and data. I assume that this is a pre-installed app as there is no provision to reinstall it. How can I put this right and if possible I want to avoid a factory reset?

Data recovery if I root

I'm not an android expert. My wife somehow hit factory reset and wiped out really, really important things on her phone. Yes, they were really important and not backed up (thats on me).

I've learned all about data recovery software, rooting the phone and I'm about to learn about unlocking a secure boot loader....if thats even possible. I think my chances of recovering pictures and files is pretty low. But before I try to figure out how to unlock the secure boot loader, cause the Verizon g935V has no auto root support, can someone tell me if I manage to root the phone and run data recovery, I will be able to retrieve pictures and edge memos? I've already got 4+ hours reading about how to root the phone but stuck because I believe the boot loader on this phone is locked.

Any information appreciated.

My app cannot pick customer location

Hi!
I have an online grocery app that was developed for me. The app suddenly stopped getting the customer location. The customer uses the app to buy products and at the end picks the delivery location. Now picking the does not work and the app keeps asking to select location. The IPhone version of the works well. Can you help? I have purchased the source code and have the admin web version transferred to my custody. I don't know what to do fix the problem.

Samir

New app for Kids: Learn Fruits and Vegetables

fruits_veggies.jpg

“Fruits and Vegetables”
is a free educational application for kids. It allows to learn and remember the vegetables, fruits, nuts and berries. The app contains 100 items in total. However, the list of fruits and vegetables can be easily customized.

If your child is too small for remembering a large amount of information, then you can remove unnecessary photos in the settings. The application works as a photo gallery. Photos are easily scrolled with your finger. The application also pronounces the name of the fruit or vegetable, so your child easily remembers it.

You can enable the automatic show mode. In this mode, the photos are changed every few seconds until you press the Stop button. Any teaching requires knowledge testing. Our application includes this opportunity: it's a quiz! 4 different photos are displayed, and your kid hears the name of one of these fruits. Your child must give the correct answer by clicking on the photo. After that, the next question is asked.

This quiz cannot be lost, even if sometimes the child is mistaken. In the end, your baby wins anyway. It is very funny and useful! With this free app, your child will learn about fruits and vegetables, learn fruits names. You may be surprised when your kid will show you a fruit that you did not even know about!

Setting SMS notifiction sound

Maybe I have just lost the plot, something that was simple on my S8, I can't figure out how to set on my S9.

I want to set a notification sound for SMS (as they are usually immediate priority) and a different notification sound for FB messages, messenger etc.

Ideally would also have WhatsApp share same alert as SMS if possible, or even another unique notifier.

How do I set this, could do it OK on my S8

Android Key Mapping

Hi all,

I hope this is the right place to find Android gui experts.

I am trying to map some keys to play a game named War Robots on my Android Nvidia Shield TV device but I am struggling with one key but only in 'touchscreen mode'. Unfortunately in 'keyboard mode' the game doesn't seem to operate correctly and the robot turns in circles and you have to press the controller toggle or shake the mouse to make it stop turning whereas in touchscreen mode (i.e. unplug the mouse and keyboard) the turning is perfect but I can't map a button on my controller to trigger firing all weapons.

The firing all weapons button when using a keyboard and mouse is mapped to Left Mouse Click or Shift or funnily enough the pipe symbol '|'.

This is what I have done so far:

1. Installed a keymap app on the Shield
2. Mapped all buttons (X and B controller buttons to Space and 'Q' for other special game properties) and have the 'Fire All' button 'Shift' triggered by the 'A' button on the controller.

When I start the game with the keyboard I test this and all mappings work fine and 'A' does seem to 'Fire All' but as soon as I want to go to touchscreen mode (by unplugging the keyboard and mouse) to get the maneuverability working the 'A' controller button no longer does anything although the other mapped buttons do still work on the controller.

So frustrating that touchscreen mode seems to just stop this one button and I have spent hours at this trying the other buttons that had mapped okay to 'Space and'Q' to the 'Fire All' to get around it but had no luck so maybe there is no way. I am not even sure if this touchscreen mode is unique to War Robots to be honest or it is standard Android.

Anyone know in Android touchscreen mode how to trigger a left mouse click or Shift button press maybe or any ideas for a workaround?

p.s. this techy stuff might help some gurus on here as to how they do things. Struggled with link: developer.android.com/stories/games/war-robots

Thanks

Hi,

Is this the right forum for beginners?

For developing on WIndows10.

New to Android Studio, am having troubles getting Android Studio to recognize tablet in the Device File Explorer window.

First attached file shows tablet visible in File Explorer, second file shows tablet not recognized in Device File Explorer. Tablet Settings show both Bluetooth and USB are on.

Help GbWhatsApp Hide Chat

Hey there, I have seen in a number of places that GbWhatsApp has a 'hide chat' feature, which allows you to move a chat to a separate 'folder' which keeps the chat from activating every time a new message comes in. It appears to be part of the menu which appears when you select a chat and click the three dots in the top right. I've seen several screenshots of this but do not have a 'hide chat' option under the three dots on my P20 Pro. Any ideas? Many thanks, Dave

Returned to Android after 3 years

Hello all. This is my first post here. Since this is an Android forum I'll keep it Android centered and give you my history. I started with Android when I got my first smart phone, and I have had a few of them. The first was a ZTE, a cheap model just to test the waters, so to speak. I found out pretty quick I was gonna like it so then I got a Samsung Galaxy II. Had that for awhile and switched carriers, from Ntelos to Verizon, so moved to a Motorola (can't remember the model), and after dropping it and needing a replacement I got a smaller, cheaper, refurbed Motorola to replace it. It didn't last long because it kept getting hot, and its battery life was not good. Mostly I learned from that phone that I liked smaller devices, so when I decided to replace it with a new one in 2016, I found that the trends were to go big. The only thing they had in the store that was still on the small side was the new (then) iPhone SE. I got it strictly due to size, and quickly found out that I loved it.

I kept it for over 3 years as my daily device, and I still have it in use as a camera now. It was during the time that I had it that I decided to really learn to use the device for things other than just talk, text, and web surf. I really got into the nuts and bolts of smartphone useage, learned all about cloud storage, backups, Bluetooth and music downloads, the millions of apps available, the accounts associated with the devices (I had had a Gmail address for years on Android and never used it for anything), and more. I got really educated on the iPhone and all its functions. I really liked it. The only reason I am now back to Android was due to iOS having such problems in versions 11 and 13. Got tired of it and bought a Samsung Galaxy A50 last fall.

I'd like to say I am glad to be back to Android, but I can't. The new device has not been a joy to use like the iPhone was for its first year. So I guess you could say I am here now to try to learn about android, and decide if I want to stay with Android, try a different Samsung, or even a different brand like the Google Pixel, or return to iPhone and hope that iOS14 goes better.
