Has anyone here used a thermal printer to print from Android?

The paper is of a specific size.
If I get what I want to print to be the same size, is it then a simple case of choosing to print?

I will be wanting to print from the web and/or gmail.

On PC: it's JUST not that simple.
You can't install the printer driver and send ANY print job.
You have to jump through 10 different hoops - someone designed it to be like this.
I make the correct paper size... I send the print job... and only 2/3rd of the paper can be printed onto.
That was using a zebra printer.

There's loads of bluetooth printers out there that are for Android.
I want to get one and try. But thought I would ask here first just incase.

I bought a new phone and always used Nova Launcher for my default launcher but now when I want to set it on my new phone, it is not showing in my default apps so I am not able to set it as my default launcher. I also tried downloading another launcher but still the same issue, can not find it in the default apps list. Please can someone tell me what to do? Thanks in advance.....

Hi all

The phone doesn't see my watch at all. Not through the phone's bluetooth or through the Huawei health app. I've installed the AppGallery APK and installed the latest Huawei Core Mobile Services and Huawei Health but it doesn't come up in bluetooth.

Any ideas? Don't really want to have to factory reset my watch

Hi i have i Problem im Using A Huawei p 20 lite and My Microphone is Near The Speaker And every Time i Call someone and Watch Youtube they can hear what im watching and Its gets really annoying beaucse i play with my friends and they can hear them selves Or my game please help

I have had my Galaxy Tab S4 for about a year. I love it. One annoying aspect is that just like that, auto rotate stops working until I restart it. Usually stuck in portrait, sometimes in landscape. I always go up and check the settings, and it is still set to Auto-Rotate. I've tried turning it off and turning it back on 30 seconds later but that does not work. The only action that resolves it is to restart the tablet. Does anyone have any suggestions on another way to resolve this problem without restarting the tablet.

I'm sick of the fact that what ever i type about i will get ads based on my typing. I've changed keyboards to anysoft keyboard. But i found that i had maps open and dirrecting me somewhere but found that i had conversations to my passenger and even got ads based on my conversation..

Is android even safe anymore? I'm being monitored and not just for personalized ads.

I've gone through googles privacy settings and have turned everything off related to ads and data collecting.

Now im going through my phones permissions and i'm actually quite scared that i cant deny system apps to my location etc. Ive tried to Google some of them but i cant find much on one system app called subsdm, the search comes back with malicious apps but i couldn't actually find anything in particular regarding subdsm.

When registering for android forums, the app couldn't even verify my device. Has my device been physically opened and had hardware changes?

Now I know the police in my country monitor my Facebook / Facebook owned apps and my Google acounts. I want to make sure that they don't have any installed apps on my phone etc.

I have done a factory reset and flashed the phone using software provided on the oneplus website.

Is there some other reset or opperating system i can use so that i can deny system app permissions ?

Also when apps have camera and mic permissions cam they use them when ever? Only because location has the option for only when all is open..

I've attached some photos of these 'system' apps. Can someone help me secure my phone before I just bite the bullet and use iPhones again.. and is there any system apps that should have permission to display over apps, change system settings, adaptive notifications, usage access, picture in picture or WiFi controll

I have a number of devices with different versions of Android ranging from Android 5 to Android 10. In addition to internal storage, all my devices also have external (SD card) storage. I have no problem creating files, reading,and writing them on my external storage, but none of the file managers I have installed so far will allow me to delete a file or folder. They all suggest I need to get permission for delete access to external but fail to tell me in an understandable way how to obtain this permission. I've even recently installed various apps with names like SD Card File Manager which explicitly claim they will delete files. However, when I select files or folders to manage the delete option is always greyed out.
In desperation I have had to remove the SD card, load it onto my computer just to delete files and folders.Surely there must be a straightforward way of doing this directly on my Android devices?

I've seen doo-dads you can attach to your phone to swipe credit cards, but I need to know how a person who doesn't currently accept credit cards can do so. Specifically, my awesome contractor/handyman.

Is it easy to get set up to accept credit cards? Do you know of specific companies that do this? He's just an individual, not a company. Does that matter? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I've owned several Samsung Galaxy/Note phones and I just picked up an S20 Ultra 5G. I sleep at odd times and I like to have notifications turned off and phone set to vibrate for incoming calls. Of course, I want the alarm to be loud and wake me up. I've been able to do it on every other android phone, so I'm guessing there's a way on the S20.

First off, I have the alarm volume on and turned up.



Here's what's kind of odd. When my ringtone is a little bit up, the system volume is normal and the system sound is up where I can set it and I have alarm volume.



As soon as I turn my ringtone all the way down, I can not control the notifications and system volume (the buttons are grayed out) and the alarm will not ring.



Any ideas are appriciated.

Ok please try to stay with me. I purchased this phone for my son, he can't read yet and I am wanting to have the phone read (in voice) his text messages so he can hear them. When I try to launch assistant it tells me to update my google app to use your assistant so I go to the play store and I see install so I touch that , it begins to download, then I see installing (But I see ! Similar app already installed, google go: A lighter faster way to search), then I get the error can't install. I have deleted the cache in google play store. I am at a total loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going through the Udacity course, and it shows an older version of Studio where you could create a new style from the UI-layout tool. This does not appear to exist in version 4. Is there no way to create styles using the GUI now?

I'm making a HUD display for my car's dash. I have the half-silvered acrylic mirror, a nice Car HUD app and a secure sticky mount for the phone, but I'm having trouble finding some hinges for the mirror that I can adjust the angle to get the best reflected image. suggestion please, Ideally under £15 GBP so I don't get stung for import duty/taxes.

Is anyone able to advise where I might be able to find a replacement screen or a whole device for a phone bought in 2013 (yes, 2013!). It's an EZIO 9000B 5.7-inch 2.2GHz QUAD CORE 2.5GB-RAM+16GB A. (It's a Note 3 clone.)

It was bought on ebay from tecplus98 in 2013 - but tecplus98 is no-longer active and does not respond.

So... My 'waterproof' phone protector leaked at the beach and I obviously put my phone in rice and I luckily saved it. its working and connecting calls but it's been stuck in a safe mode loop for hours now and I can't seem to find something that works. Ive been all over the internet and have tried Litteraly everything.
