For my final year project at university (Bsc Computer Science) I have decided to create a Videogame Recommendation App on Android.

I intend to utilise machine learning to look at a dataset (e.g. Steam games and the average user rating) to determine the best games for the user, based on their previous 'likes'.

Machine Learning is all new to me so I've spent some time watching Python tutorials on how to set up and train a ML model. However my biggest concern is how to choose the right tools that will work with Java, and more importantly Android Studio (the IDE I have decided to use).

I've done some very minor research on frameworks such as Mahout, ML Kit and TensorFlow Lite however I'm very unsure about which to choose and moreover how to integrate within the core part of the app. I'm guessing that I won't be able to call a python script using Java so am very unsure.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Hi, I'm new to Android world and I got a problem when I try to upload my first game which is 350 MB to Google Play Console. I have searched for many days but I still have no idea what is the right way to handle it. It seems like Dynamic Delivery is the best solution for me so I follow the official documentations and split my game resources into three install-time dynamic delivery modules to keep each one of them is bellow 150 MB. Before uploading aab file, I use command "bundletool build-apks --bundle xxx.aab --output=xxx.apks" to double-check all the output apk files no exceeding 150 MB. However, I still got error message telling me there could be one or more auto-generated multi-APKs exceeds the maximum allowed size of 150 MB. The full error message is like below.


There are many apps' size over the the maximum allowed size on the Play Store and I just wonder why I can't upload my game like them. What is the proper way to handle an app exceeding the maximum allowed size? Thanks.

I own a Nokia 3.1 and a couple of nights ago I checked my world clock feature and discovered that for no apparent reason a time zone was added without my input ( and no, somebody didn't do it whilst I wasn't looking ). But what is hugely strange about the time zone is that it is set to "1-p Xopoonon". I discovered that this may be a Mongolian word for "district" ( which would make sense because the time zone is set to that zone). A screen shot is below......Does anybody have any idea as to what is going on? Have I been hacked?? Has this happened to anybody before? Are the any Mongolian speakers out and can you confirm if 1-P is a district of some town?

I wanted to disable the multi-user feature in Android in my both Motorola phones, one has Android 5.1 and other has Android 7. I have been successful in Android 5.1 phone through the CMD command using ADB tools, the command I ran is this to disable it:

db shell settings put global guest_user_enabled 0

And the result is this that the user icon under the notification swipe on the top right does not work now it does not do anything when tapped. Video is attached.

Now the same command I am running in my Android 7 phone is not working and the user panel is same as it is, this is where I need your help, what wrong am I doing or is there any change in the command that is need to be done. I just want it disabled like in Android 5.1.

My A20e connects only with a 72mBit Link testet against two different routers. The 72mBit is showed in different WIFI Apps and in the router DD-WRT software (HT20 Link, no HT40) and the downspeed is only 3,5Megabyte/S.

Why does it not connect with full 300mBit and how to fix that ?

I am constantly getting this notification message: "new voice mail dial *8623648" and there are like 3 similar messages. I try to dial the number and am getting " unable to dial this number try again".
It is very annoying. I have no idea who or where this v/m is from, and would like to block this message.

So My Aunt had an LG V30. She has actually already bought a new phone, but she may have some pictures left on her V30 and also if I can get it working again within 14 days, she won't have needed to spend the extra money on a new phone and we can return it. So I'm wondering if I can fix it.

Here's what I know happened.
She had the phone on her nightstand charging, it was at around 80% and there were no signs of trouble.
She did something else for less than an hour (reading a book before bed).
She went back to her phone and the screen was black and it wouldn't turn on.

• She tried a couple different charging cables.
• Tried the hardware reset buttons (power+volume down) for a good minute. No signs of charging, no signs of the hard reset doing anything.
• Took out and returned the sim card
• Took it to the verizon store (shockingly the couldn't do anything...)
• Took it to a local phone repair shop. I wasn't there so I don't know if the tech got the full story, he took it apart and said he couldn't do anything without ordering parts. He suggested it may be either the charging port or the battery.

Now I am comfortable replacing phone parts, and know I can get those parts for ~$20 a piece.
However, I'm a bit skeptical. Now she did have some charging problems a month or 2 ago, but a new charging cable fixed that with no more issues. She hasn't had any battery issues, i.e. it wasn't showing any tell tale signs of wear. So for it to go from charging at 80% and going up to completely bricked, I'm wondering if it's worth spending the money considering, it doesn't really seem indiciative of a charging or battery problem. Has anyone else had to have a v30 battery replaced or charging port? Did it just go from 0 to dead like this?

I've got an LG Fiesta 2 (TracFone) running Android 7.
I just signed up with Spotify Premium yesterday, and have been searching for the EQ feature on the Spotify Android app. After several searches, it appears that my phone does not have a built-in EQ, and thus there is none available to Spotify.
The music sounds muddy even when I am on WiFi and set quality to Very Good.
Spotify app on my Windows 10 box sounds great, as I would expect.

Until now, I have been listening to music on my Android phone with PowerAmp Pro (latest version). Poweramp has its own EQ, so I can control the sound as I like.

Is there anything I can do to make Spotify music sound better (more treble, less muddy), short of replacing the phone - which I intend on doing soon, but waiting for Amazon Prime day to get a better deal.

So my parents have a Protech 7inch tablet which they got following a lesson via Argos, but aside being slow as hell, they can't install any apps from the Play Store.

I was wondering if it might be possible to reset it with a different version of Android somehow to unlock this and maybe speed it up a bit.

May I ask a further question - everyone was very helpful when I first got this phone.

Will it charge when it is switched on or must I switch it off always first? So far I have only charged it when it os off and it takes about 80 minutes to charge to 100% from say 9% full.

I use a 2 amp? charger which did not come with the phone.

Hi all. I'm on T-Mobile and received the update to A10. I was wondering what new features have you noticed.
I'm hoping the moderators can pin this thread so that we can share the new tricks for this not so old dog. I've found that if you long press the camera icon after opening the camera a slider will appear which will allow you to zoom and changes lens. Also on the right corner a tablet shaped icon will appear which will allow you to preview all three camera views. Anyone else have some discoveries to share?

I recently purchased a Samsung Chromebook all my Google stuff was working fine including Google photos. Now all of a sudden when I go to Google photos none of my photos show up I have everything synced between my devices the photos do come up on my PC and my phone. If I click on albums it shows some albums. Sometimes when I click on photos the cursor just spins and spins but nothing happens. If I do a search in photos, photos do come up. I just can't click on the photo tab to make all my photos appear, any ideas?

Can anybody identify this alarm app from this photo? It's going off on my P30 Pro at 07:00 every morning? There's nowhere for me to click to see what the app is, and I can't find it to cancel it!

It's not the standard "clock" alarm, and I can't seem to see anything in my app list that would be an alarm/clock app!

So what are the chances I have lost everything ? 2 Samsung chargers do nowt. I read about fixes involving removing the cover putting a new charging port in but even if i can charge again after some crazy amount being spent would I have lost everything? If there's been a short somehow I guess so ?
