Hello, I'm in the process of buying a new Galaxy S9 I've had several already but I'm wondering what's the advantage or disadvantage to buying a locked Verizon phone versus a factory unlocked phone? I do realize the unlocked phone will work with any carrier so it seems like it would make sense to buy that phone. What's the advantage of buying a locked phone that's Verizon and using the Verizon network? Would they have their bloatware on it?

Ive just asked myself if its possible to play this app without the Server. Its pretty enjoyable but it looks like the developers just closed their servers or something the game needs to check for server updates and when trying so the error message "checking new version failed" appears.
Does someone know if thats possible to bypass the "looking for server update" step to get this game working?

As you all know, swiping slowly left on the spacebar lets you go back a few characters to correct a typo. Much easier than trying to tap on the screen. But still it's hard to swipe back just the right amount. Haptic feedback would help.

But I don't want it to be always jerking when I type. Is there a way to enable haptic feedback as I swipe on the spacebar maybe one bump per letter? If not, I'd like to request that as a feature
(this is not just a random request; it's an active area in the automotive space: haptic feedback on the steering wheel)

I've had this LG Fiesta 2 with Android 7 on TracFone for 2 years.
Recently, I've been having several apps acting erratically.
For example:
Listening to an audiobook on Overdrive. The position in the book will suddenly jump, and sometimes the volume will increase or decrease. Sometimes the audio will stop, then start again, stop, and so on.
This has happened to other apps as well.
Google Assistant will suddenly come on and tell me what I can do, or instruct me to perform some action.
My music player - Poweramp Pro - will stop, change tracks, and/or the volume will increase or decrease.

Thinking it had something to do with Google Assistant - often I would hear the assistant at the time the erratic behaviour began, I shut down assistant completely. First by deselecting my phone in Google, but after that didn't stop the GA from breaking in, I just disabled it completely. Now I don't get GA, and I don't have voice announcements at all. But I still have this erratic behaviour.

I thought maybe it was my Bluetooth audio controller (Chubby Buttons) but I disabled Bluetooth, and still have the problem.

I am getting ready to do a factory reset of the phone - or maybe buying a new phone. I guess I should try factory reset before giving up on it.

I should mention that I have this phone installed into a hard case. Is it possible that one or more of the buttons on the phone are being randomly pressed by the case? I have seen that happen before, but removing the phone from the case, I did not find any dirt or anything that could be interfering with the buttons.
I don't want to use the phone without the case, as it is too easy to drop it.

Oh, and one more thing: I have installed Nova Launcher Pro. Could this be the problem?

Hope this is in the right sub, but I'll make it quick either way... I've been using App Inspector to help identify apps I want to uninstall for a while... I found the instructions on another forum about how to get rid of bloatware. With that said, I'd love to be able to get rid of Google Assistant for any number of reasons.

So does anyone know the name of the APK? I looked around Google and didn't find anything helpful, and I'd love to find it so I could at least give it a try... Thanks in advance!

I bought an open box (suposedly) unlocked phone. I was able to activate it with ATT, even though the phone is preinstalled with Sprint version of the software. The software is problematic and I want to replace it with the stock version, but I am a novice at this, and none of the recommended methods have worked for me. I feel they are not mentioning things they figure I would already know or something. Can it just not be done? I can't uninstall or even disable any of these Sprint apps even though I am not using them. I downloaded the Stock ROM from Motorola for this device, but the phone won't take it. Do I have to get the Sprint out first? If so, how do I do that.

Sorry for rambling. I guess I just don't know what questions to ask.

Hello everyone. I like to use old android phones as media players. In this case I have a Sony Xperia E1 that I bought used for super cheap. I play music files on it and use the FM radio.

When I start it up, it always asks for a SIM network unlock pin. I click "dismiss" and then it asks me to select
"language" Can someone tell me how I could possibly deactivate this and just go straight to using the phone?

I have a Mi Note 7 with Android Pie / 9.Today I have discovered I am not getting a ringtone when calls are received. I get vibration and flashlight but no sound, so I have been missing some calls. I have checked all settings, and all permissions, and display over other apps. I have checked that sound is on (max) and silent mode is not activated. I have checked and selected a ringtone which works OK, except when someone is trying to call me.

What should I do?

According to a documentation if you set the EXTRA_DISCOVERABLE_DURATION extra's value to 0, the device is always discoverable.

I had put the setting for 'Display-Sleep' to 5 minutes and all worked well so far.
Since yesterday my Huawei Mate 10 Pro goes to sleep after 30 seconds and I cannot change it anymore in the settings...

Win 10 (64bit) Home does not have the Hyper-V program capability.

App crashes midway through a match, usually in the 5 minute range.

I've adjusted and tweaked settings in Bluestacks up and down from what I've seen on the internet.
I've turned off antivirus (Norton)
I've Installed/Run Bluestacks as an administrator.
I've run the app from the app icon on the desktop as administrator.

Thoughts? Solutions?

I am currently running Nox and have no issues (other than the controls), but prefer Bluestacks.

Can anybody recommend a calendar app that works with google accounts but does not use the system accounts? Similar to an email app where you can enter your email account settings that are completely different from your system account.

To add some reasoning:
At work we use a google calendar, and I have a separate account for that. I don't want all my apps and my phone in general to have anything to do with that special account, but I need a calendar app that shows the content of that google calendar.

Can any of you give me some ideas as to why I no longer getting text notifications on my Galaxy watch? I used to be able to read them on the watch until about a week ago and now, nothing. I still get the other notifications like email but no text. I have not manually gone into the settings to change anything related to this so it's a mystery to me.

In FL Studio DAW and other software when I hover above a button it shows a small little textView telling what that button does. Can I have this in Android Studio 3.6 the latest update ?

Button icons change with each update , it's annoying to update and see all your UI screwed up and mixed up. I spent half hour looking for the Design- Text toggle. Can't they leave it alone for a year ?
