I want to upgrade my Android, and keep as close to stock Android as possible.

I like my current Nokia 6.1, so wondered about the new Nokia 8.3 (both run AndroidOne) as a replacement.

I've just seen, though, that the Nokias don't even feature in Wirecutter's reviews, while they recommend the Pixel 3a, partly for its stock Android.

Has anyone seen a good comparative review? Does anyone have advice one way or the other?

a sentense introdcution: you can transfer everything from every phone. no matter which system you using. (of cause, Symbiam is not in. )

I actually joined about 2 weeks ago and just realized that I did not properly introduce myself. I've been enjoying browsing, reading, and replying during the past 2 weeks and it is proper to introduce oneself. Apologies for the delay.

I live in Bahrain, though I'm not Bahraini but Korean.

I've used Android since version 2 Eclair before having used iOS. I currently have the Samsung Note 10+ and an iPhone XS. I like having to use both worlds and use the Note predominantly for work purposes and the iPhone for personal. I do however find myself a lot more on the Note 10, always changing the look, settings, launchers, apps.

I joined this forum as I'd like to be part of this active community, to obtain insights and news of everything Android, as well as contributing for fun or if it can help someone.

My VLC cannot connect to local LAN FTP Server via specified IP 192.168.0.20 , port 222 and user root.
At connecting a passwort entry is prompted, I enty password *** and it stays forever in Loading..

A connection with my PC and FileZilla is no problem.

I literally factory reset my phone twice, and all i installed was 4 apps from google play (verified by play protect) , and i didnt back up anything besides my photos. I think the virus may be on my sd card.
Same viruses keep installing to my phone: Vis, fake email, fake facebook, killer games, bdsomething, one called apps, fake s how photos, g services, com.arxv.reserved, com.ser.servicesads. Some of them get blocked by play protect like vis but others dont, 2 of them have permission to everything ( location, messages everything, first thing i installed was AVG antivirus) Help

I am very new to Android development,
Downloaded the flutter SDK and place it in the folder "C:\src\flutter"
After that I installed the android studio (version 3.6.3) to start learning the flutter.

The machine I am using is the Windows 10.

After the android installation I am not able to install the flutter plugin, IF i open the plugin screen , its shows a message Market Place Plugins are not loaded (Please find the attachment)

I can see in some forums that there is some proxy setting stetting to be changed to fix this , but I couldn't find the values for that proxies

Can anybody please help me how to fix, really stuck here ,

MY ISP uses IMAP for both incoming and outgoing email. Lately, I've been having trouble sending email from my Fire Tablet 10. While trying to figure out what's going on, I noticed that somewhere along the line, Amazon had changed my outgoing email server to SMTP, and I can't find a way to change the outgoing email server to IMAP. As a result, there are 29+ unsent email messages stuck in my outgoing email folder.

I've tried downloading several email apps, but they too default to SMTP for the outgoing email server. Does anyone know of an email app that lets me specify both the incoming and outgoing email server, or do you know a way I can force my Kindle Fire 10 to let me specify both the outgoing and incoming email server?

Hello, I have one general question. Are there any phones which can have both data connections enabled at the same time? I have two simcards, business SIM1 with flat plan for and private SIM2 with just 1GB data. Business card data are active most of the time now (because lot of data traffic in work profile applications), but if I want to send/check MMS on private card (believe it or not, some people still have keypad phones and use MMS, which work much better on dumb phones, than on Android, I have to switch data connection to SIM2.
I know SD X20, X24 or MTK P22, P23 have DSDV, but can data from both cards be used just for VoLTE caling, or also for all data connections (including different MMS APNs)?
Please recommend me any (preferably Android) phone capable of this.

As noted months ago, I strongly dislike the harsh, bold, black unread thread titles. I'd really like to be able to dim some by marking them read. I typically skip threads whose titles make clear I can't possibly help, like 'how do I do X on window$?' It would be nice to dim them without opening.

My friend got a free trial. He's been watching a show and he wants to quit for a while after maybe 30 episodes but if he does I guess it'll start over at the beginning. How can he make it stop where he is and go back to that?

is total garbage. If you look in the "Artists" section, it does not group the tracks by album. If you search under "Album", there's no grouping for artist. What a piece of garbage this app is...

Hi guys. I am new to Android Studio. I am using Android Studio on Xubuntu 20.04,64-bit and I try to run it at avd. But it just show nothing in avd and show this error:
