Purchased a new unlocked Galaxy S10 and updated it to the latest updates. I created a new contact with 2 phone numbers, one for the house and one for work and set a custom ringtone for the contact but it's playing the default contact instead. I wiped the cache and it's still not working.
Does anyone know why?

I have an A30 and it was bought in Panama (IMEIs were changed there because they dont match the box) so anyways the phone is going giving me the following issues:

1) The phone shows as Custom in phone status, Magisk Manager is installed and developer options are enabled (OEM Unlocking, USB debugging, verify apps over USB, Multiple PBAP Properties)

I have to reboot the phone every few hours because it runs out of space, when I power it on it says 40Gb free but after a few hours it runs out of space and the only way to fix it is through a reboot.

The phone also shows IMEI status NG at times (when it doesnt register on the network I verify through *#0011# and it says NG but after a couple reboots IMEI status says OK and signal is ok as well.

What could be causing these two behaviors?

Priority #1 is the space thing which is driving me nuts.

As I'm going through Android tutorials, I'm seeing a lot of 'make a new basic activity.' The basic activity shown in Android Studio has a button on it and that's what I'm seeing in the tutorials, but when I make a new basic activity I get one with fragments. It always has fragment_first.xml and fragment_second.xml. None of the tutorials I've seen have had any fragments in their new basic activities.

I've spent several days trying to figure this out. I haven't been able to find a single resource on it except this one. I even got in contact with one of the tutorial creators who told me he didn't see what I was seeing. I've verified that I am indeed clicking on "Basic Activity." I'm not sure if I have a setting changed or what.

Is there some way to prevent one app steal focus of another app?
I'm a ride share driver, so I work with both the ride share app and Waze app open at the same time, but constantly, close to the end of the trip, the ride share app steal focus from the Waze app, and sometimes I totally lost my way, having to stop the car, and manually give focus to Waze again.

Besides being very annoying, this is very dangerous, because sometimes is impossible to stop the car in a safe place before switching focus again.

This is something that's really driving me crazy (literally) since I started driving ride share apps, so I desperately asking for your help for this problem.

Hi. My radio worked prior to pairing my phone blue tooth. When tried to use radio after no sound and the scanner (labeled #5 on instructions) no longer works. Android 7.1. For my 2012 Jeep.

After I produced a release apk and put my app into the google play store and now my logcat no longer works and I cant dubug. I set "android: debuggable" to true, and under variants I picked debug, and still nothing..... please help

I am getting this error when I try to run the command line emulator with a custom virtual camera (i.e.
./emulator -avd Pixel_2_API_29 -camera-front webcam1):

emulator: ERROR: _camera_client_create: Cannot find camera info for device 'OBS'

The error appears after an application tries to load the camera.

The virtual camera works in other programs, and I have a similar setup working on my Linux machine. Does anyone have any ideas why the camera could be being rejected by the emulator?

Hi, I'm working on the AWS Kinesis demo (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/kinesisvideostreams/latest/dg/producersdk-android-downloadcode.html). I downloaded the project from Github (
$ git clone https://github.com/awslabs/aws-sdk-android-samples), made the required edits and loaded the app to my connected phone (Galaxy 7 with 9 (pie) through studio. I only get the splash screen below and cant click anything. Tried loading the app on a Nexus emulator through studio running 9 (pie) and got the same thing. Any idea what may be going on? Thanks for your help.

My "Automatic Call Recorder" (id=com.appstar.callrecorder) stopped to work fully 1. may after updating my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus to the latest Android 10 version as of 1. may (2020). Now it only records my own voice/audio, not my called/calling counterparts voice/audio. So now it's useless to me.

Samsung support in Denmark claims that it's caused by new restrictions from Android/Google due to new GDPR rules.

But doesn't it work with some other apps, or with some other combination of Smartphone/app ?
