Help Filming, recording audio and playback to Bluetooth earbuds for drumming

Hi,

I'm having drumlessons and I want to record myself to listen to how I play.

I have music files on my phone which I playback through my earbuds which I have in my ears while drumming
Filming is done by my Samsung Galaxy S10+ via the normal camera video capabilities.

What I want to achieve: I would like to film myself, hear the music in my earbuds to play along, and also record these same music in the video.
This way I can play the video to hear me drumming along with the song.

What is the best way to do this, or is there a special app which achieves this?

Currently I film, play the music and select the screen recording option, but that is a lot of work. By the time I switches screens, the music has already started but I was not able to play along yet hahaha.

Is there any app that records video, and also the audio that is playing through bluetooth?

Thanks.

Apps Android Studio ANDROID_SDK_ROOT Error

Hi,

I am using Arch Linux and running the newest android-studio (3.6.3) and running Android SDK versions 9 and 10 (Pie and Q).

When I try to run a device on the AVD I get the following error:

Emulator: PANIC: Cannot find AVD system path. Please define ANDROID_SDK_ROOT

I have defined the ANDROID_SDK_ROOT in my .zshrc file and also those other environment variables:
Screenshot from 2020-04-24 19-28-29.png

In addition, those are my SDK settings in Android-Studio:

I have checked and all of those paths are correct, also I have searched many other sites of people with this same error but none of their solutions worked.

I hope you can help me,

thanks in advance.

Fingerprint login

Or, more accurately, why is my phone no longer asking for my fingerprint?

I have a Samsung S10+ running the latest OS (I am not sure what that is because I can't get into my phone). I used to keep my phone locked with a password but turned that off when it became too much trouble to enter each time and there was never any really sensitive information on it in any case.

About 6 months later I decided to turn on fingerprint unlock as being easier but apparently when I turned on fingerprint unlock it also turned my password back on. Unfortunately I have forgotten what that password was and I guess I never put it into my password keeper because I can't find it. It did not seem to be of much importance since my fingerprint unlocked the phone properly.

Yes, I know how stupid not doing that was, and I have been smacking my face all morning, but what is most bothering me now is that the phone no longer is even asking for my fingerprint and the auto-unlock at home, which I had set, is also not working. All of this leaves me with some questions.

1) Why did the fingerprint login stop working?

2) Why is the at-home auto login not working? And, perhaps most important,

3) Is there any way for me to do a factory reset on the phone so I can rebuild it?

It is a nice looking phone, but a bit too expensive for a paperweight. Thanks for any help.

[Game][Arcade] Neon Escape

Hello here! My name is Alexander, i m from France.
I would just present my little Arcade game created for Androids, titled "Neon Escape". I work solo.

You need jump to avoid obstacles. The game contains 8 levels.
The first 2 levels are weak, learn mechanics. Other 6 levels show no mercy.
With time i want to add new mechanics and levels.

You can download from google play

If you have question or suggestion you can leave comments is it highly appreciated!
I would know what i can add and improve in future versions.

Thx for you time !

Google Home doesn't see Chromecast

I've been casting to my tv from my Android Galaxy s8 with no problems. Primarily YouTube and Netflix. Both sowed the Chromecast icon.
Yesterday, I tried to cast a video, and I couldn't find the Chromecast icon.
I followed all the steps to set up Chromecast, and I get to the end if setup, where my phone tries to connect to Chromecast and I get a message saying, setup was successful but Google Home can't find Chromecast. The tv says setup was successful too.
I'm at a loss

Nag function for Alerts

Sometimes we are awaiting important texts, emails, etc, but miss the one-time alert due to extraneous noise or distractions. Yes, we have persisting dots or other indicator icons, but nothing audible.

How about being able to selectively turn on "nag" alerts so that an important message or event makes a sound, say every minute? This could be useful and eliminate the necessity of having to look at the phone every few minutes to see if anything was missed.

Redirect repetitive posts based on title/content?

We get a lot of repetitive questions regarding certain issues. Depending on the mood I'm in, I can get a little snippy at times responding to them. As noted in a thread this morning, when I see myself doing that, I take a brief, self-imposed break from even opening those threads. That helps. But I know there's a better way! :)

Let's say that John Q Public starts creating a thread. Either in its title or body, a certain word/phrase/name appears. Let's say it's "unknown icon" or "can you identify" or "what is this alert," etc. [I see my fellow regulars rolling their eyes.] Yes, it's yet another "i don't know what this is can you tell me what app this is from my phone doesn't tell me anything it just appeared one day i don't use anything like it someone said it could be a dating app PLEASE HELP ME!!!"

When I'm cranky, but not cranky enough yet to absent myself from that thread, I'll write a brief, 'if you're interested in my explanation of why this is virtually impossible, please see this post,' and leave it at that.

And then there are the endless 'how do I [fill in the blank] on my JP5 tablet' posts. These are prison-issued, locked-down, kiosk mode-only tablets. If the now-released prisoner wants full use of their tablet, they must send it to, and pay, JPay to unlock it. Officially, that is. We see the folks who want to bypass paying and/or those who claim to know how--for a price.

Why not trap, based on content, and redirect these while they're being posted? Send them to an appropriate sticky that sums everything up for them. The 'unknown icon' sticky would explain the logistics of it all, the JP5 sticky would give its rundown AND explain that asking for, or offering, help to illegally bypass its protection is not allowed. Then, *if* they still think they have a legitimate, different question, let them post it.

As always, @Rob, just my 2¢'s worth; feel free to do whatever you please with it! :D

[APP][FREE] The Harder Times: reading latest news

Hi all,

I've created an app for reading the latest news, using news API, v2.
The news are available from 54 countries and many, many sources.

In general, this application consists of two main parts:
1. Top - here we can see the top articles from the selected country. The articles are categorized, the available categories are: General, Business, Sports, Health, Entertainment, Technology, Science.
This part corresponds to "Top Headlines" in news api.
2. Feed - many non-categorized articles from the specific sources of the selected country.
This part corresponds to "Everything" endpoint in news api.

Every article can be opened in browser, shared or saved for later. All saved articles are displayed in "Saved" section.

In Settings we can choose the countries for Top and Feed sections. The countries are selected independently, so it's possible to read news from two different countries at the same time.
Afrer changing the country all the articles in all categories are refreshed in one click.

Coming soon in the next updates:
- Source selection, as well as adding more sources
- Search by keyword
- Users will be able to add any custom source.

The app inteface is available in several languages.

Registration is not required. The application does not collect any personal information.

Monitor if your servers are onlines or in troubles

Hi,

I just dev a new app to fill my currents needs, I just publish it on the google play store and think it could be useful to other.

You can find it in the Google Play store with the name: IsMyServerOnline :)

So, the app purpose is to be notified when your server crash or return invalid response. It can also be used to monitor your favorite website or game server. Some apps already exists for this but they look a little old, and don't completely satisfy me.

With this app you can add as many server as you want and monitor their status in one clear interface.

Current features:

- get servers status: online / offline / error
- allow auto-refresh servers status at specified interval
- get notification for servers status when updated or when their status change
- configurable server timeout

I will continue to improve it and add new features. The next, that come up soon, is to configure witch return http code is correct by specific server.

The game includes an original soundtrack and online scoreboards.
