Apps Getting Stuck in Recent Tasks Even After Clearing Them

Im using Huawei Nova 3i running on Android 9.0. I got this problem a couple hours ago and nothing I did could ever fix it.

All my recent and not so recent activities like apps and settings windows are stuck in the task manager (recent tasks) and would not be cleared like this.

I dont believe I did anything to cause this problem seeing as I didnt change any settings anywhere or install any new apps. I tried a couple of things like rebooting, shutting down, clearing cache and clearing physical memory but none of that worked for me.

I should also mention that Huawei has a private space feature which kind of creates another space in the phone which has its own apps and files and the problem is only in the main space.

[App] Flash on call 2020

Flash on call 2020 is one of the best applications on the Android market. Whenever you're getting a phone call or other messages notification your Camera light will start blinking and you will know that someone is calling me. This app is especially helpful if your mobile Phone is silent monde. Flash on call 2020 app will help you to find your misplaced Mobile Phone or if your mobile phone is in silent or vibrates mode. This application will also help if you're getting a call in a dark and noisy place this app will give you a flash alert on call.

Apps Architectural question: Android Studio Navigation Drawer template project files

My question is an architectural question about Android Studio's Navigation Drawer template project files.
I am teaching myself to use Android for an app for my final year BSc computing project with the Open University (UK).

1) Why does the Navigation Drawer template project include both ViewModel java files for each of the Fragments as well as fragment java files?

I'm trying to understand if this is the way Fragments are usually structured with a separate java file for the actual content of a Fragment screen. If this is the case, what would I put in the Fragment java file rather than the ViewModel java file?

2) The template also provides a second home Fragment, I'm really not sure why? Any explanation for that? (I don't think I need this...)

3) As I'm completely new to Android Fragments (I think I understand how to work with just Activities), could someone please explain the role of the single Activity in the the Navigation Drawer template project?

I understand that you need an Activity to underpin the Fragments. Does the Activity actually need to be one of the visible screen like the home screen (as it would be in an app without Fragments) or is it just there behind the scenes providing the functionality for the Fragments according to what java code I put in the Fragments and Activity java files?

These things are puzzling me.

So far I have adapted the Navigation Drawer template so that there is just the one MainActivity.java file with 5 Fragments, each with a unique Fragment.java and ViewModel.java file and a layout.xml file per Fragment. The home screen is one of the Fragments and the Activity is not visible. Is this a good structure?

Any explanations or feedback would be very gratefully received, thanks from purplebeans!

S20+ Bluetooth Headphones Call Distortion

Hi all,

I wanted to see if anyone has experienced this same issue and/or has any suggestions on how to fix:

When I use my Master and Dynamic MW07+ earbuds to make phone calls (or even WhatsApp calls) with my S20+, the phone call almost immediately becomes significantly distorted and doesn't go away unless I turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on. The same thing will then happen a few minutes later.

Weirdly, this doesn't happen when I'm listening to music. I can listen for hours without issue.

I previously used these earbuds with a Pixel 2 and didn't have this issue. I also used these earbuds with my wife's iPhone 11 and again there were no issues. Interestingly, I also tried a phone call with my cheap Anker headphones and didn't have any issues with the S20+.

This seems to only happen with my S20+ and specifically with these earbuds (which I already replaced via warranty once). Any ideas what is going on and what to try?

Help Texting app

Hello,
I have a question about my Galaxy Tab S6 and Galaxy S20. Is there a way that I can see my text on both devices?
I use Verizon texting app on both deivces don't get the messages on both devices. I only get the text on my phone. Even if I start a text on my tablet, I still don't get any gifs, text, response nothing. I am signed into both of them with the same user name and phone number.
Or is there an app that I can download and use across both devices, that will sync across both of them, so if I don't have phone near me, I can still get the text on tablet and vice versa..

Thank you in advance

Galaxy M20 BOOTLOOP! Can you help me?

Hi, hope you can help me. I tried to root my Galaxy M20 SM-M205M but something went wrong once the Odin finished cause it got stucked on a bootloop. Then i realized that the name of the file i was using was "ROOT-M205F-U1-Android 9 Pie.tar" i guess that was not made for my phone version. After a short investigation i downloaded the SM-M205M Firmware from Sammobile, it came with 5 files and i put each file in its respective field (using Odin 3.14.4) i tried to follow the instructions.
-The phone is in download mode
-Im using my original usb cable
-Odin recognizes that the phone is conected
-I have the Samsung drivers installed
But when i hit the start button it says Fail and a sentence appears in the upper left corner of the phone screen "CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 4 BINARY: 3", so now im running out of options, i would appretiate your support, thanks.

Import Project Android Studio

I have an assignment to do for Coursera (Java for Android) and I'm getting some errors when I import an unzipped file (week 1 programming assignment) into the SDK. I extracted the zipped file into a folder named "Geometry Calculations." When the SDK prompts me for a file name, I select that folder for import. Seems like it would pretty simple. I get the following errors:

Project Import Warning
project file should not contain whitespace, as this can cause problems with the NDK tools.

Geometry Caclulations: failed at 4/23/2020 6:33 PM with 1 error
java.lang.IllegalStateException: failed to find target with hash string 'android-22' in: C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk
ERROR: failed to find targert with hash string 'android-22' in: C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk

This is from the the assignment specs:

Resources:

Please download the supplied zip file available with this specification. Extract the files onto your computer. The extracted files contain an Android Studio project. Start Android Studio and import the project as demonstrated in an earlier module. All your work for this assignment will be in the file Logic.java. Open this file in the IDE and look for the comment:

// TODO -- add your code here

As you do your work, be sure to place all your code in the Logic class.

The demonstration of the import procedure was not detailed enough for me. I would appreciate some clarification. Thanks!

Help Old Group Text Delete Itself As New One Comes In

Carrier: T=Mobile
Android Version: 8.1.0
Stock Messaging App comes with the phone.

It just started happening maybe 2 weeks ago.
It only happens in group conversations, but not individual convo text.
At first I didn't know what was going on, all I noticed was that old messages in groip conv kept disappearing.

Then today, I see it in real time what it is doing: as a new group text comes in, the oldest one gets deleted. Another new one comes in, the next oldest one would get deleted. Very strange.

I check the setting for Messaging App and the Text Message Limit is set to 300 per convo and Multimedia Message Limit is 50 per convo. Both are more than enough.

This is stange. Anyone has the same issue? Any idea?

Help Assist with the text messages

I would like to know how to transfer text messages from one phone to another
Android - version 7

I am getting a new cell phone shortly. My old one is acting up. Is there a way to preserve the text messages on my old phone and transfer them to my new phone when I get it?

I am the type of person who likes to keep old text messages in case I need to refer back to one in the future.

No Galaxy S9 software updates

I have a Galaxy S9 on Verizon. The phone was originally bought as an AT&T phone unlocked since I switched over to Verizon about 3 months ago I've had no system or software updates done to the phone. Verizon says it needs to be manually downloaded, I called a phone repair place and they said don't do it it will screw the phone up. It's still running Android version 9 last security update was in November of 2019. The phone works fine and I love it. Does anybody have experience with this and possibly using the Verizon software upgrade assistant where you download software on your computer and push it over to the phone. Someone else also told me to use Odin but that seemed a bit complicated to me to reflash the software on the phone. Maybe I'm just screwed but I figured I'd give it a shot.
