I posted recently about a random problem that occurs at night, and 'fixes' itself by morning. Until THIS morning.

Last night, again, I was just doing usual stuff and suddenly had no Internet. I did everything I would tell someone else to do, but it didn't help. I gave up and left it till morning. Same problem.

Finally, after the umpteenth time of doing some or all of the following, I again have a connection:

- forget network
- add network
- type its password [definitely correct]
- reboot modem [despite all other devices having perfect connections]
- reboot router [as above]
- shut down phone
- restart phone
etc.

Once it tries connecting to Wi-Fi, it continuously cycles through authenticating, obtaining IP address, failing, saying 'connected, no Internet' or 'authentication problem,' and so on.

I don't know why it finally, magically worked, but I'm backing up files like crazy right now to my network, in anticipation of a factory reset.

Can you think of anything I've missed? Or ideas on why it's happening?

It's a Moto Z² Force Edition, less than a year old, running Oreo 8.0.0, not rooted.

So I've been having this issue for a while now. I would like to unlock the bootloader on my Samsung and I'm struggling severely. I've done so much research and attempts and phone calls and in the end, my hands always turn up empty. Could someone please give me some advice or a guide to what I'm supposed to do because it seems like this specific phone under the Tracfone carrier is a ghost when it comes to this and rooting. Once I get a lead I'm suppose to enable oem unlock, well my phone doesn't have one. I've waited more than a week with developer options on and I've even tried adb and fastboot. Still nothing, I really need an expert's help but I can't seem to find anyone. Not even XDA is helpful with this phone. Yeah they have the A10 or A10s but not the A10e under the Tracfone carrier with the model number SM-S102DL. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you

I just bought a new phone. It has Android Oreo and a pre-installed XOS Launcher (If that's helpful). It had default system keyboard installed.

After installing Gboard on it, I found out that there were no other options other than Emojis and Smileys in the Gboard. No option for adding GIFs or Stickers or anything. It didn't even have a Search Emojis button on the top.

I tried to update and again downgrade the app. Also joined the Beta version of Gboard but nothing really helped.

I want to implement a list view in my android application, even though the application is build without any errors, the emulator is constantly crashing with this code. After running the debugger I saw that the variable listview = findViewById(myPlantList); is set to null. Thus, I think that the problem is that the view with the ID "myPlantList" is not findable. ALthough the id is set correctly.

....but i hear it might have extreme task killer / battery saver features added :/

Newbie here building my first mobile app with Android Studio. Basically just a conversion of my responsive website to mobile app.

I had everything working except for the WebRTC part.

I have a button/link that if pressed will just call a link on a WebRTC dialer (basically a clickconnect link) hosted in another server/site.

It won't work if the link is opened in the App.. will only work if opened in a browser which I don't intend to do.

Any suggestion, (or steps/scripts) how can I make it work in App?

Kensington Keyfolio Pro 2 is connecting via bluetooth to Lenovo Tab E10 successfully but is not typing nor is being recognised in physical keyboard in the language/inputs setting.

Connects successfully and works with apple iPhone Xs and Motorola android phone.

The October 2019 update will not download. I have tried on Wifi and on data and just sits on download but won't continue. Any suggestions? Anyone else have a problem with this update or general downloading?

I just noticed a crack going across the plastic piece that covers the rear cameras. I have never dropped my phone and it's always been in a case. I'm obviously very disappointed. Anybody else had this problem? Any ideas on how to get it fixed? Thanks

So at the time I wasn't aware sd cards became encrypted when formatted as portable storage. Since then the tablet had issues and I had to factory reset it, losing the key file. I can view the files and folders on the card on every device I put it in, but I don't need the files. I just want to be able to use the 128gb micro in my camera. I tried formatting it using my tablet and my phone with it just erroring out. I used disk management, CMD , disk part, mini partition tool and easeus partition. I even tried gnome disk utility, gpart and mkusb. I even tried it on my wife's Mac. No success. I tried it in safe mode too. Renaming or individually deleting files doesn't work either as any changes I make to the card revert back as soon as it's refreshed or remounted. I tried encrypting the card with Vera crypt as I don't have bit locker but it said failed. I scanned it for bad sectors with it saying the card is healthy and scanned it for viruses with nothing. I know it's easy to say just buy a new card and I might have too but know I'm legitimately curious and how to format this thing short of taking a blow torch to it.

I have a OP6 and I found an XP-Pen drawing tablet that I can use with Android via an OTG adapter.

It works, but the problem is, the active area is a 16:9 ratio, while the OP6 is 19:9. So anything I draw on the tablet ends up a little squished or stretched.

I was wondering if there's an Android utility that can alter how much of the tablet can be used at one time, and fit it into a 19:9 ratio probably, with a margin of the active area disabled.

Or if there's something that will change the aspect ratio to 16:9 via software.

Hi I just switched to a S10+ from a S8+ and I am noticing significant lag when taking pictures. There's at least a quarter second of delay between pressing the shutter button to the phone actually taking a picture. On my S8+ I could rapid fire photos by rapidly pressing the shutter button, it would take photos with zero delay, but on the S10+ it is so slow I can only take a couple of pictures even though I am pressing the shutter button multiple times. This happens even in broad daylight with good light.

I've tried rebooting, turning every AI and HDR feature, clearing camera cache, and there's absolutely no change. I am on the snapdragon version with the latest Android 10 and One UI 2.1 update.

Has anyone had this issue and managed to solve it?

Hi all. I am still learning and have a project involving a few buttons and a spinner as a simple test. All is working, but a problem came about when I added a new class file (myClass.java), just to practice using and accessing classes in other files. I also have a inner class in another file to spilt the onclick handler in another file also as a test - this is based on this suggestion: https://stackoverflow.com/questions...ultiple-files-for-better-organizatio/27285678
Whenever I make any change to the myClass.java file (even if it's just typing a space), then when I compile I get errors (cannot find symbol... and others) As soon as I hit compile again, all is well.
I can even make a file change (e.g. hit space) after the error-prone compile and then if I hit compile again all is ok.
So I assume it's a synchronization error with the project. I've tried invalidating caches/restart.
I'll send the code if need be. Any ideas would be great. Using 3.6.2

hello, when posting on facebook only, does anyone know why gifs are displaying tiny using Android phones but display normal sizes on iPhones, tested on my S20 Ultra and wife's iPhone11, and another Android iPhone couple is having the same issues.

they display so tiny you can barely see them, this only happens on Facebook, not in text messages, I have went through Facebook settings, phone settings, searched the web, it's driving me nuts, help!

I have a Moto G7 and have been experimenting with the notifications. I don't think it's working correctly.

1. Make a noise and pop up.
Makes a sound and pop up banner at top of screen.

2. Make a sound.
No pop up, makes a sound.

3. Show silently.
No pop up, just icon badge.

4. Show silently and minimise.
No pop up, just icon badge.

I presume 3 and 4 should be different, could someone advise what they should do instead?
