When I go for my daily walk, I like to listen to CNBC on Sirius XM. Basically using LTE cellular for reception. On average every 15 seconds the audio will stop. Sometimes it will restart quickly. But it will always restart immediately if I tap the power button. Other point to note that in my location I might be doing a lot of cellular tower switching.

Looking for the best place to start here. I did some Googling and became further confused. Wondering what's the best way to solve this (ideally without a hacky workaround).



I'm unable to boot into my OS on my phone and any options within the bootloader (black screen) don't work and clicking them just gets me back to this screen. From googling it looks like I'll have to flash it in some way (which is a bummer and I don't have much experience with).

I also get something that says "Failed to verify hab image boot " and "failed to validate boot image" when attempting to go to recovery mode.

Phone is a Moto G6, OS was Pie I believe. No firmware or any weird software installed prior and this came out of nowhere (my kid had the phone for 5 mins and I ended up on this screen).

When I try to, The program wants me to "share" info. My old flip top LG never required this, I simply went into calendar and entered what I wanted. How can I send myself reminders securely? Thanks

I use VPN on my phone (orbot). Today I noticed that some apps require "wi-fi connection information" permission. More specifically "Allows the app to view information about wi-fi networking, such as whether wi-fi is enabled and names of connected wi-fi devices". What does that mean? Can they seriously access the wi-fi in such a way that they can check other devices connected??? In other words if Im connected to a wi-fi and someone else gives an app permission to access it they can see that my device is connected too? Is that even legal? Browsing connected devices on a wi-fi is an admin privilege is it not? What gives a mere user of a wi-fi the right to give 3rd parties admin rights on the connected wi-fi??? If an app has this permission does that mean using VPN is more or less pointless? I understand that its not pointless when it comes to web browsing but what about games? I play a mobile game that gives me ads in swiss-german because I use a swiss ip, but when it comes to listing prices on things it still gives me the price in the currency my country uses. Im guessing thats because they have access to the wi-fi and can see where I am despite the VPN?

I also have a side question if anyone reading this is a user of XePlayer:
I only installed it today so I have no exp using it. On my phone Im able to access the permissions given to FireFox and turn them all off without it leading to hickups using FireFox. But on the XePlayer Im not able to turn anything off, there isnt even a slider. Not to mention the app has tons of more permissions enabled than on my phone. Am I missing something? Why cant I edit the permissions?

I do not want one because it could heat up your wrist a little bit, I know a few of my friends have them, and can cause sweat dripping off the strap part of it, and the battery could not last much as well. Still What are the cons and pros of owning a smartwatch? I am not looking to buy, but anyone of you know any pros or cons?

I Have a Moto E4 Android 7.1.1 and there is a problem with the wifi. Now first let me say my router is on its last legs. We've had it for years and this problem arises only recently but I don't think that's the problem. My mom's router is like, a month old and the problem persists on that wifi too. Data works fine as far as I can tell, though I don't use it too terribly often so I'm not 100% certain. The things is my wifi will work for a random amount of time, usually no more than 10 minutes, but then whatever I'm doing that uses wifi won't load. Like if I'm watching a video it will show an endless spinning wheel. Or if I try to load a website the progress bar stays on the left side of the screen. But my wifi is on. With bars. And it's not saying "Connected, No Internet" it says I'm both connected & have internet. But the wifi just doesn't work even though it says it's on. No other devices in my house do this. Also, if I turn my wifi off, manually, (Manually is something Google search didn't understand, its search results seemed to make it think my wifi was shutting itself off and on) on my phone, not my router(or modem; I might be using the wrong terminology) and then turn it back on, it'll work again... For another 10 minutes at most and then the problem will happen again. I've tried restarting my phone and unplugging and plugging both routers to no avail. Does this sound like a hardware issue? Should I change a setting? Help. Please. Thank you.

I'd like to understand how Android OS woks when opening a file from a file manager. It seems different versions of Android behave differently. Also, the behavior is different depending on the location of the file, local or local network.
I use ES File Explorer and Solid Explorer as file managers on all my Android devices (phones, tablets and standalone VR headset). When I click on a video file for example, a list with apps capable to open that file is shown (if the extension is known to be for video files). Even if I have the same video players installed on all devices, the list of video players displayed for opening the file is different, from one device to another. I have Android 5, Android 6, Android 7, Android 8and Android 9. In Android 9, on my OnePlus 5T, when I try to open a video file, only SE WebView and SE Video Cast are listed as options. However, I have MX Player, XPlayer, VLC Player, ES Video Player and a VR Player installed on the phone, but NONE of them is listed. They are not listed if I try to open the file in ES File Explorer or Solid Explorer.
On my Lenovo Yoga Book YB1-X90F tablet running Android 7, if I open the same file in ES File Explorer or Solid Explorer, six different video players, all download managers and all video downloaders are listed as options to open the file.
On my Lenovo Mirage Solo VR-1941S VR headset running Android 8, when I try to open a video file in ES File Explorer or Solid Explorer, the DeoVR Player (which can correctly play VR180 and VR360 files), is listed ONLY if the file is stored locally (internal memory or SD card), but it's not listed if the file is located on any of the computers and laptops on the local network.
I have other tablets and older phones running older versions of Android mentioned above. When I try to open files in ES File Explorer or Solid Explorer, they display different player options, but none as restricted as in Android 9 on my OnePlus 5T.

How this OS feature works in Android?? Is there any way to add one player or more to the list of displayed capable applications?

I have created one void for each question. The problem is, that I do not know how to select one randomly and then select another one without repeating those, which I already have asked before. I have tried with the random library but it does not work.

My Neighbor is logged into my WIfi only with 32 MBit where the maximum is 54Gbit. Android reduces Wifi Speed when the signal strength is a bit low.
When I go about 50 Meters away of my Hotspot my Android smartphone reduces Wifif speed to 9 MBit ..

Is there any app in the store that has the option to have the phone vibrate when picking it up when it has missed messages or calls ? It used to be a standard option for androids called 'Smart Alerts' and senior phones still have it...

Of course they removed it now, as they ALWAYS do with the cool features, leaving only the crap.
