It was no secret that he would be inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame, at his first eligibility, but today it became official.

His widow...that still sounds so odd...Vanessa, and their oldest child, Natalia, spoke online about this final, crowning achievement of his phenomenal basketball career.

As a lifelong, real Lakers fan, who watched in awe as a 17-year-old kid turned into, as my favorite Laker, Magic Johnson said, the greatest Laker of all time, this little glimmer of light makes me very happy. But it doesn't erase reality...

Help Standalone messenger app

My mother has been using the standalone messenger app on her phone for a while, and recently I created a Facebook account for her, and the standalone app disconnected from her local old phone 'account', and was forced to connect to the new Facebook one on her standalone phone app (it 'logged her out').

So now all her old 'phone based' standalone history is gone, and she wants it back - reconnect to it, as it has important messages from people she is not 'friends with' on her Facebook account. She does not want to use Facebook and has deleted her account, but the standalone phone app, still refers to the newer account, and not her old extensive standalone phone app history.

Is there someway to reconnect to the old account, or at least to find and save the cache, and possibly import the old entries into the new profile? She's on android 4ish from memory.

Can one also recognize Calendar status types other than available?

I would like to use Tasker to silence alarms during meetings and other events.
In principle this works OK (as shown and explained on several sites) using a condition of
State -> App -> Calendar Entry
Set Available to No, choose calendar by long-pressing on your Calendar.
Done.

BUT: I have many whole-day calendar entries where I mark days as "Out-of-office", i.e. days off.
On such days the above profile silences my phone for the entire day which is definitely NOT what I want!

What I really want is to silence it during events that are marked as "Busy". All others with states available, out-of-office, tentative, ... should NOT trigger that rule.

But it seems one can only select "Available" (with condition Yes/No/Any) in Tasker.
Is there any possibility to base that trigger not on "Available" but on "Busy"?

WhatsApp problems

I recently switched from an iPhone to a Samsung galaxy s10e and I seem to be having some problems in setting up my WhatsApp like I had it on my iPhone.

Maybe you guys could help.

First of all I would like to know it it's possible to just get the red round notification icon on my WhatsApp app button and not get the drop down notification on top that pops up whenever I'm using the phone.

Then I'm also having trouble downloading the media I choose to keep. To be clear. I don't want WhatsApp to download all the multimedia into my gallery. I like it to be inky on the app except the things I think are worth keeping. Which I can find a way to select and keep in the gallery.

Two simple things that were very simple to solve on iphone.

Help Few Basic Questions re Upgrading Roms in General

I apologize but wasn't sure where to put this question. The phone is old LG Volt LS740 & didn't think people participated in those forums anymore. Anyway, I think my questions are more basic hopefully and can be answered. I am no expert. Anyway, back 5 years ago I installed a custom stock LG Rom and zv4 radio. My phone back then was version zv3. However once I rooted and installed the Rom and version 4 radio, my phone became zv4.

Everything was fine recently until it got stuck in CWM recovery. I managed to install TWRP over it and finally fixed the problem but had to go back to stock version zv3 and to re-root the phone. I now want to go back to to the Custom Stock Rom with zv4. I still have the custom stock rom and the version 4 radio. Before I use TWRP to get there, I looked at the Rom and notice in it is "recovery.img". Will that put CWM back on my phone, or will it leave TWRP the way it is? Should I delete the "recovery.img" from the zip file of the rom first?

I'm thinking if that is successful, I"d like to install either CM 12.1 for Volt with gapps, CM 13.0 for Volt with gapps or Lineage 14 for Volt with gapps. If I install any of these, will I have to upgrade the Volt's radio or is that built into the Rom?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Loose charger tip in LG X Charge

My friend's phone has a new charger but the tip doesn't fit right. It keeps going in and out of charging mode. I don't know how many chargers he has been through with this. I think leaning on it might have something to do with the problem. He wants to get a cheap replacement at a convenience store but I said that might damage the phone. The good news is he still has the original package and receipt and could maybe replace it for free. In an emergency, would it be possible to wrap the tip with tape and/or prop up the phone somehow? By the way, how do they get the cords wrapped up that tightly to fit in that little compartment in the package?

Some noise from inside

Hi, I just take a samsung s20 ultra, and I was surprised to hear s sound when I slowly shakes the phone. Is seems how a piece from inside is moving. It's that normal? I think is from camera, because if I try to make a photo and I set up the zoom it's not hearing anymore. Can someone tell me if it is normal? Thank you!

Increase number of rings.

I have a Moto G7 Power. I only get 4 rings before it goes to voice mail. I have tried every thing mentioned on the internet, at the Tracfone forum, and the Motorola forum, and no one can help me out. I use Tracfone with an AT&T chip. I can't even dial *#06# to get the IMEI number and get an error message " connection problem or invalid MMI code.Help!! I need more rings.

Help Not receiving messages and calls

I have two lines from different carriers. The other one has no problem receiving messages and calls but my primary line does. When the display is off meaning when I’m not using the phone, I don’t receive messages and calls but not when I’m using the phone. I went to my carrier for a change of sim and still didn’t work. Did a hard reset. Didn’t work. I don’t think it’s a carrier issue because my Z Flip doesn’t have this problem. On the other hand I cannot say the Ultra has a problem because my secondary line can receive messages and calls even if the display is off. So what gives?

EDIT: The Z Flip uses snapdragon 855+, my Ultra has the shitty exynos.
