Don't know why this app won't install on my phone it keep telling me can't be installed

Back after a hiatus from Android. Switching back from an iPhone 8. We will see how it goes.

A new Android 9 update, 9.0.16, for the T-Mobile (USA) carrier minority variant of the OnePlus 6T has begun rolling out.

The build date of this release is showing as the 16th December 2019

Does anyone know what the white circle icon is in the top left hand side of the screen. It’s a block colour of white. No lines around or through it. Just a plain full white circle. I’m stumped! Thank you

I have a very old phone i think its model 4'1'2. Anyway, i turn on gps and it goes on but on top it says "searching for gps" And it just doesn't seem to find it. Sometimes it will after a half hour or so. Is there a fix for this? Or am i better off getting a new phone?

1) Start up and shut down at specified times.

2) Run and close specified programs at certain times.

Is it also possible to configure the device to perform certain actions within the programs automatically? Do I need some Android application which can do all of the above?

I have a clock widget installed some time ago on my cell, got an tablet now and would like to install the same widget on the table, but can't find it on Play Store, how can I find which widget I've installed on my cell? Tried to search by browsing the icon, but nothing matches, went to settings > apps > opened the widget, but there's no additional info about the developer, how can I find out who is the developer so I can narrow down the search or even better, if I can find where's the widget file so I can copy it to my tablet. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, Android Version 8.0.0. Everything, including apps, are up to date. Is there any way to get the phone, after ending a call, to not automatically go to the lock screen?

Other than being irritating to unlock my phone after every call, I have a specific reason for asking. I use my phone to play my music in Google Play Music while driving via aux. After a call, my phone auto locks instead of returning to the opened Google Play Music app in order to continue using the buttons, (pause, ffd, rwd, etc). Unlocking the phone everytime can be distracting and dangerous.

I have noticed that if the phone call is short, it doesn't return (sometimes) to the lock screen. Not sure if it's outgoing or incoming. There has to be a way to disable or override this function without using another app, removing lock feature or jailbreaking the phone.

the "sdcard" is its own internal, with apps storage and DCIM and such.

The root however, I don't know how it got like that. At most I installed an emulator but did not use it and uninstalled it. Should I root my device? I kinda need those 10 gigs. Files count goes well over 20k.

Hello there I have decided to root my Boost Mobile Kyocera Hydro Reach Prepaid Cellphone so I can use it more like a tablet and less like a phone. I currently am using a prepaid cellphone from US Cellular.

So I don't need a second phone plus I have not had service on this phone in over 2 years so I decided to give it a fresh install and once I did I still keep getting these annoying updates for things on the phone I will never use again like voicemail or even messaging though the phone number since I will have facebook messenger. And since there is no longer going to ever be service on this phone again why have all the extra crap I figured.

So here is the help I need I used a app to root the phone with the help of my windows 10 laptop. And then I removed the bloatware and now I was wondering if I can remove the rooting app as well as all the extra stuff I needed to use to root the phone since I will never be using this phone for things other then apps and game can get straight from google play store.

I know it might be a odd question but just wondering if I needed to keep it all on there or if I could remove it.

The weirdest thing just happened. I heard, for no apparent reason, the faint sound of hysterical laughter from my phone that went on for about 30 seconds. I have been dealing with a stalker for the past six years and think may have been hacked, though I have also read this sort of thing sometimes happens on android for innocuous reasons. Any ideas? TIA.

How to get this feature to work? I keep going in circles trying to get this feature to work. I can't even place a screen shot of the box that comes up. It tells me to turn off screen overlay in the settings. Wen I go to settings, it shows its already off. But all the boxes are 'shadowed' so as not to be able to toggle any of them.

Hello!! Just got a new Huawei P30 Pro and am not getting alerts on my Yahoo Mail app when I receive a Yahoo email. I have been to a lot of forums and have tried everything. My phone (Android 9/EMUI 9.1.0) is in Performance Mode and not in Power/Ultra Power Saving Mode. In 'Battery Optimization', Yahoo Mail is set to 'Not Allowed'. All notifications are ON in both the Android apps settings for Yahoo Mail and inside the Yahoo Mail app itself. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have restarted the phone itself many times. I have force stopped the app and cleared cache inside the app. Whean I started setting up the phone, I did not restore from a previous device. It was a fresh, clean 'install'. Both Android and EMUI are up to date. All apps from Google Play are up to date. I don't know what else to do. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

my 7 year old has had his TAB A for about 2 years now and tonight he was complaining about it being really slow, he is constantly installing crap off the google play store but tonight i managed to get his tablet back to the home screen to try factory reset it and the tab rebooted into a light blue screen with the lines of custom os can cause issues with the phone and app press volume down to reboot or up to continue ive never seen this screen on a android device and was wondering if it was genuine so i did the volume down, power and home button and it did some sort of repeated screen test blue, red, white, black then over and over for about 10 minutes now its come back to the warning custom OS screen again if i try get the tab into safe mood or recovery mode it wont do anything and keeps going back to the custom os screen

When I start an emulator with Android Studio, I got the error saying that "ANDROID SDK ROOT variable isn't set".

After some days looking on how to solve this error, I still got it.

Here's what I tried:

• Uninstall & reinstall Android Studio
• Create the environment variables ANDROID_SDK_ROOT and ANDROID_SDK_HOME and set it to the SDK directory
• Checking the SDK Tool to get the right location
• Checking the tools installed (SDK Tools, SDK Platform Tools, Emulator)
• Put the SDK directory to the root of C:
• Updating the PATH environment variable, and adding "platform-tools" and "platforms" folder address to it

It looks like I've tested everyhting, but nothing works.
I have done nothing special to get this error, it "spawned" from nowhere.

The next step is installing Android Studio on a virtual machine and check if it works.

If anyone got any solution, that would be great.

When running apps that download files, where do those downloads go?

Specifically, I have several apps installed in my Mac version of Bluestacks. One of those apps downloads a text file every time it is run. I would like to find where that text file gets downloaded to.

What is the best way to locate that text file? I do not know where to find it.

I have a Bixby routine that turns on the Android Auto app whenever my phone hooks up to my car's Bluetooth. That works great.

But I want Bixby to turn off Android Auto when the connection is broken (i.e. when I get out of the car).

I can't find a way to use loss-of-Bluetooth-connection as an "If", nor can I see how to get Bixby to exit the Android Auto app.

Help?
