Help Something wrong with the battery ?

My phone has recently started acting weired for the last few days.

After charging the phone to 100% its says it will last 47 hours but it only lasts for 10 hours.
At bed time when i turn it to airplane mode and not use it all night, in the morning i find theres only 3% battery left. When i charge it, it now takes 5 hours to even reach 58%.

I cant understand what is wrong with it. I even used battery doctor and antivirus to check if theres something going on and uninstalled all apps in case something is eating away the battery.

I can't find what is using up the space any help appreciated thanks
Surely a brand new phone with 32gb of internal storage can't become a brick with storage issues when there nothing to explain what is using up that space

How to get rid of the annoying bar under the keyboard

Hello,

Since the last android update, my gboard shows this annoying bar below it. What is that? The arrow on the right hides the entire keyboard and the little keyboard on the left opens a window to select the keyboard (gboard, Google voice typing or Samsung keyboard). I've looked everywhere to hide that thing and I can't find anything. K have a friend who just updated the software as well as she didn't get the bar. I have a Samsung galaxy S10 btw and the android version is the one showed in the second pic.

Hope you can help me guys! Thank you so much!

New Update Caused Endless Rebooting -Tried most Steps

Galaxy s8 on Verizon, a standard update notice kept appearing past few days, finally installed it. The minute it finished, it is now in an endless restarting loop.
The phone does unlock and show my homescreen. I can get into it, but I only get about 10 seconds to do stuff then it restarts.

Clear Partition Cache- Done
Safe Mode- Done (Boots up in safe mode for 10 seconds then restarts the same as non-safe mode)

Any ideas besides factory reset?

UPDATE:
Issue Fixed. Big thanks to MrJavi and @James L . I would not have figured it out without them.
(Check out James's profile & website if you need rooting, bricking, or custom services for android)

Mr Javi helped me with a lot of the early issues, there were a lot. I ended up getting my firmware from samfw.com, as sammobile is far too slow (6 hour download). Odin kept failing on the flashing, it ended up being that I need to install Kies 1 and kies 2.

The flash succeeded then, but the phone was now worse, it became bricked! So I flashed it a 2nd time, and it worked! Second time was the charm for some reason.

Safe folder can't be found - exposed or just damaged and lost?

Hi, I last accessed my encrypted safe folder 4 days ago. Today, it couldn't be found anymore. Some pics and videos in unencrypted folders also cannot be played or shown because the "file format is not supported" (mp4 and jpg). I checked a breaching website - my google data was exposed in a breach in September 2019. Is it possible that the folder and the other data were "stolen"??
Thanks.

car bluetooth issue.

Ok hopefully I can explain the issue. Currently I have an iphone but its not doing what I want. I have a old car with aux in only, I added a Bluetooth receiver with its own mic but it looks ugly so I added a just a Bluetooth reciever without mic which I can hide completely thinking my phone would act as a mic, but iphones won't do that, so I was wondering if there are any android phones that will use the phone as a mic. I don't really care what OS my phone runs, was thinking about a pixel4 if that will do what I'm hoping for.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Help Google Parent on Amazon Fire tablets

I've got the kids Amazon Fire tablets. You can't beat the price.

Installing Google Play Store - where should I get from?
Searching gives loads of results. Just wanted a recommended and trusted one.

I already have installed on their phones.
Will I have any problems installing on the Amazon Fire tablets?

Thanks.

(I googled the question and can't find a definitive answer. A few threads, but they are old.)

Help Android Storage Full - Google photos taking up 7.37GB

Device - Moto G 4

I am constantly getting notifications that my storage space is full. I use google photos for my photos, videos etc. I regularly use the "free up storage" on google photos, which I was under the impression deletes the original image/ video from the device, and stores a copy of it on google photos.

However, in my device storage, google photos is taking up 7.37GB of my device storage. Why is this? Surely the whole point of it is to take up no device storage and store everything on the cloud.

If I go to settings > internal storage > apps > google photos > I get the options to "clear data" and "clear cache". If I clear these, will it delete the photos/videos I have on the google photos' cloud? As I dont want anything to be deleted off google photos - I just want to delete this 7.37GB off my device.

...and as an extra bit of info, I also have 64GB SD card in the device which has 30GB free space. Drives me crazy how android STILL doesnt allow the SD card to be used for all apps! Because the on board storage is full, I can't even install new apps, despite having 30GB of storage free.

Laptop frequently gets disconnected from mobile hotspot.

Dear Forum Members,

I am accessing mobile hotspot to my laptop through Xiaomi Redme 7A phone and Airtel is the internet service provider with good 4G signal strength all the time.

The laptop used is Acer Aspire E 1- 431 Windows 10, Version 1909.

The phone works continuously with internet all the time, but when connected to the laptop either through Wi-Fi or USB hotspot, the network in laptop gets disconnected within 3~5 minutes, but the phone is still having the network. On swiping the phone screen, the laptop gets connected, but again works for 3~5 minutes only.

When connected to other mobile through WiFi also gets disconnected in 3~5 minutes.

Contacted both Airtel and Xiomi Service Centre, but both of them are not giving any solution.

Out of Curiosity, I tried with the following troubleshooting as described in various websites, but not successful.

  • Restarted laptop,
  • Run windows 10 network trouble shooter
  • Reinstalled Wi-Fi driver adapter.
  • Disallowed the laptop to “turn off this Device to Save Power”.
  • Changed Wi-Fi AutoConfig Service Startup Type
  • Reset TCP/IP configuration.
For phone,

· MIUI 10 was updated to MIUI 11 Global.

· Reset the Network settings.

I look forward through the forum, to have a solution to overcome the above trouble.
