recently, there are some problems with my google play, I could not download some apps that i want. It always has a notification that your device is not compatible so my friend suggested downloading apk but my device warned that my device can be attacked by virus if I download from unknown sources. So I wonder which web is safe for me to download?

Unsure how many people are aware of this method to access your phone photos from the desktop using the following URL. I discovered it a couple of months back and thought maybe helpful to others. Use this URL:

https://www.google.com/photos/about/

This allows you to access your photos on Win10 [at least] that Google has backed up, download photos and some basic editing functions. You don't need to hassle with using an app like Airdroid or connecting a USB cable to move your photos to the desktop! You do need to log into your GMail photo backup account.

Smart Lock used to work when I was at home or close to either my smart watch or car infotainment system. Now it's stopped, and I can't restart it.

Lock Screen/Screen Security/Smart lock says "Keep phone unlocked with trusted device or place." It show on-bodyy detection as on, my home as the trusted place, and my trusted devices as my smartwatch and both cars' Bluetooth systems. None of these work, however.

Security/Advanced Settings/Trust Agents shows only "Smart Lock (Google)" which is toggled On.

Greetings, all. My Samsung Galaxy S8 home screen grid size is set to 3x4, and I cannot find a setting to change it. I bought the phone new from Amazon in October and put a Verizon Wireless sim card in it. When I go to the Home Screen Settings, there is not an option to adjust the grid size. Can anyone please help?

I apologize. I had posted this earlier but I seem to have posted it as a reply to somebody else's thread - or else it got moved somehow.

My first couple of smart phones were Motorola and I really liked them. Then I switched to a Samsung S5 (?), then back to Motorola, Moto Z, which has given me a number of problems that I won't go into now. Anyway, I'm back to considering the Samsung, Galaxy 10 series as there is a good sale on at Costco.

The problem is, which one? Apart from phone calls and texting, I mainly use the phone to take and edit pictures, read and write to Facebook, perform searches, and play some casual games. So my main criteria are (apart from clear phone calls, which I think should be a given for a phone) excellent camera (including the selfie), long battery life, and a responsive user interface with easy text input.

The 10 pluses are really large but they seem to be getting very good reviews and have the longest battery life. Since I like using a stylus, I like the idea of the Note 10 with the stylus, but that adds even more to the size and weight. I do have a couple of questions:

I seem to remember I had problems with the icons on my last Samsung. I couldn't lock them down and icons would get moved accidentally and some icons would actually disappear altogether. Also, it was easy to accidentally call someone (butt calling, although I never carry my phone next to my butt ). Do any of these phones have these problems?

I prefer to input text using Swype (or similar) rather than tapping out the keys. Do all these models have this capability and does the Note stylus work well with this method?

Given my concerns about the size, do you think the features and and functionality of the S10+ or Note 10+ outweigh the S10/Note 10?

Thoughts and recommendation from anybody with familiarity with any of these models are appreciated!

Does anyone use or know of an email app that can assign different notification sounds to emails received from specific people?
I already use Maildroid Pro but it's no longer updated or supported and it's dying fast.

Trying to use the emulator to test device enrollment. I can't seem to figure out how to get the emulator to boot to the setup screen instead of to the home screen where I can enter afw#<mdmname> in the Google account prompt. I can definitely download the agent from the Play Store then enroll but it doesn't give me the same options for testing.

First time using the emulator so I apologize for my ignorance if this is a simple toggle. I can't find an answer anywhere in my searching.

I have a Nuu A8 phone and does not have caller ID available. When I try to add an app to add caller id or similar, I get an error that says that Caller ID is not available on my device.

Click install and nothing happens.

Hello, new to android phones and I need some help. I have a S7 Edge that started doing something weird. If I go to a specific person, their text messages will show for a few seconds and then the message part goes blank and just shows an white screen, like the messages disappear. If I send a text, or back out of the app, the messages will show for a few seconds again, but then disappear. I tried restarting, I tried clearing the cache. Neither work and I don't know what else to do. It's my girlfriends number, which makes it worse because I text her the most. Did I mess up a setting or is this a known bug that has a fix? Any help or suggestions would be a great help! Thanks.

I've had my Note 10 plus 5g for a month and 3 times now I've had an icon pop up and tell me that my sum is not allowed for voice. I'm in the UK on 3 network. A reboot does the trick each time but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues?

I have an archaic Sony Xperia E which has not seen much use but seems to have a very odd problem which prevents it from booting. It was working flawlessly until I woke up one morning and it would not switch on. I charged it fully the day before and it was only down to about 80% that evening. It would only respond to charge with a flashing red light and did not respond to the power button being pressed. I saw online that sometimes it can take a long time for it to switch on after a flat battery, so I left it on charge for 4 hours then tried the power button, no response, then once every hour and still no result. I tried every different button combination possible for at least 10 seconds each and nothing. In the end I thought that the battery must be dead which is why It is displaying a flashing red light and not responding. So I purchased a new battery for it, and guess what? Still not responsive.

I really appreciate any and all help that anyone could provide, I hope to revive it as it's in perfect cosmetic condition and would be a great example of early Android technology if working.

PS. The events descibed above happened about 5 years ago. I tried this all again this year, and later purchased the other battery. I have also put the device on charge on the day of this post in hope that it'll respond.

Pls bear with me for the noob question. I am a Tracfone customer and would like to purchase an S10. We are on Tracfone's Verizon network.

I have seen unlocked phones for both GSM & CDMA(which ours is). I'm trying to understand about SIM cards. One of the unlocked phones advertised states only for the Verizon network "must activate phone with an existing SIM card". Does this mean I remove the SIM card from my Galaxy J7 Sky Pro when I activate the new phone?

What would happen if I bought a new Tracfone SIM card? That wouldn't activate the phone?

The screen freeze and the phone shut down with a small display indicating lo battery although the battery was indicating 70 percent seconds before shut down. Not posible yo restart. Connecting the Charger and indicating battery level 45 percent right away and restart possible. Please help.
