I got an Optical Filter who Filter the Optical Light out and just let the IR Light pass to make IR Images.

Still not available on my P4XL.

My service is via Metro PCS > by T-Mobile. This is a Samsung Galaxy J2 model SM-J260T1. I don't know if it is a 2018, a core or a pure. I also can't find the slider switch to let unknowen app's to be installed. I looked in settings > security, where I have found it before in other phones that I have had. Also can this phone be rooted? There is a few ham radio app's that I would like to use that need the phone to be rooted.

Hi....so...I tried running NextRadio on my new LG G7, and it tried to contact the server to get a list of stations nearby...and it could not contact the server. So then it wouldn't let me tune into anything.

Are there other apps that will let you use the FM Tuner? I don't want to listen to internet stations. Just the FM radio over the air.

Tried rooting a phone for the first time today. Ended up following a guide that didn't have the correct instructions, got myself stuck in a bootloop soft brick unable to log into the OS anymore. Reached out to @James L and he was able to help me remotely. I didn't even write down the build number that I started with and he spent easily 2+ hours running through all the options to get it fixed for me.

Just wanted to give him a shout out because I'd probably be tearing my hair out with a bricked phone if I hadn't asked him for help.

After gaining the unlock code from your carrier, I've been told you need to insert a sim card to get the screen pop up to input the unlock code for your device. I'm curious about a couple of things here.

A) Does it matter what kind or brand sim card I purchase to unlock the phone? Was thinking of buying a cheap TMobile one from Amazon if that'll work.

B) If it does matter, can you make any GSM carrier recommendations(or warnings to stay away from) other than Cricket?

I need some help literally Stripping an S8 or Note 5. Many times I have rooted devices for my own use however, I have never tried to take away many of the main device functionality on purpose.

Situation:

I have an older brother whom is Autistic and now 46 years old. Music is his thing, there is no other for him. I'm 40 and when I was a child he had 200 some odd cassette tapes. Listened to them all day. The writing was worn off all of them. But let me tell you he would dump out this chest of tapes, you could ask him for an artist he had in that huge pile, and in a matter of seconds he would pull it out. That is one of his special gifts.....

Now a few years ago we got him to go to Cd's which was quite a feat on it's own. Now he carries a discman and 150 Cd's. This is getting harder and harder to keep up with. We tried getting him to use a tablet but he would touch something and get frustrated as it was too much for him to operate.

MP3 Players:

This is what we are currently wanting to try. He can read and write, so that is not an issue. The very basic ones have no display, the others that are larger and easier to read (his vision isn't the greatest as he has lost vision in one eye) BUT, they also have bunch of other stuff that he can get into where we may have the tablet issue above again...... Everything he has is on mp3, 4000+ no streaming ability needed, or BT.

FINAL:

Is there ANYONE that has a solution? I need basic MP3 player via a phone completely stripped to the core or one that someone knows that they can get the other apps out (books, etc.) Forcing a phone into a kids mode maybe with no bloatware would be great as well. I have an S8 and Note 5 that mean nothing to me.

I am trying to determine the simplest and easiest to install Windows Android emulator for my particular application. My parents don't have a smartphone, but they recently purchased a smartplug for one their electrical heaters, and the only way to remotely control the smartplug is via an app (the smartplug does not have a way to control via web browser).

After looking at the following list (https://www.androidauthority.com/best-android-emulators-for-pc-655308/), many of these are for people who want to play Android games on a PC (which is overkill for what I need). I am try to determine which of these is easiest to use and install for our simple application? I will send my parents the instructions to set up on their Windows 10 PC after I first test on my PC.

That otherwise good speaker is not connecting to the S5. It comes on just fine but does not show in the list of devices. I know it hasn't been used for a while. The blue and white lights are the way they should be.

I like to post comments on various news sites. Somehow I fumbled around and word wrap got turned off so everything is on one lo00ong line. How in the world to I revert back to wrap? There are no settings in the individual apps so it must be phone-wide, although I have yet to notice it anywhere other than the comments section in news apps...

I'm hoping someone can help with my query.. I've tried searching, youtubing and hammer none seem to give the desired result.

I have an Acer e380 (Liquid E3) which will not get past boot. I have attempted to download, clear cache partition and again hammer, however none worked. My issue is that I have many photos on the phone I want to retrieve before doing a master reset. Now I have a new phone so I dont care about fixing it, however those photos are irreplaceable.
I finally manager to do a backup from root which stored onto an ad card. The only official way of me getting this back is now doing a full data factory reset and doing a restore from the .backup file. However I dont trust it and want to peek inside the file on my windows machine to see if all my pictures and stuff are in there.

How can I unpack the .backup file it created in windows?

This is my first post, did my best to try and find the right forum for it.

I'm trying to root my P3AXL and am encountering a bootloop issue after flashing Magisk. Reinstalling Magisk does nothing, and the phone will not properly flash permanent TWRP either. I'm having to manually load the image file from command prompt to interrupt the boot loop. At this point I don't even know what to do, and can't load into android at all. Any help would be appreciated.

I have just started to notice images are not showing inside apps on my device. For instance, I play clash of lords 2 and in the reward section you can swap points for different items, except now you cant see what items are available because all images are greeted out with a little green icon in the corner. I dont know if I have blocked access accidentally or what. It is also happening on my wegamers account where no images show - not even my profile picture. Its driving me mad lol. I have looked through settings and cant find anything... scoured internet and have turned up nothing... can anyone on here help plz???

I had this problem where my SM-935s was locked by frp. I downloaded the firmware for this and tried to work this with Odin. Now Odin is failing to flash my phone.

I have tried to flash every part of it but to no avail. Is there a way to solve this problem?

I even have the drivers for the USB and the device is always detected..My phone is still Locked

the last factory reset I did the google chrome s page changed and the [tool bar lack of correct name? ]has moved from the top where you normally see the 3 dots etc to being at the bottom of the chrome page or is someone messing with me? well apparently they are not allowing the pixel 4 to use the at&t visual voicemail as it has disappeared from my online accounts add on's page and it flat refuses to access it much less set it up. so I am trying the google voice approach I didn't set the voice up to use the calling feature all I wanted was the voicemail and gee wiz folks it works like a charm. just thought I would let you know in case someone else having same issue with att voicemail you have am sure many alternatives but I only use the google items seems other folks apps in play store are of the deceiving type anymore and I'd rather err on side of caution.

I am being pestered by spam text messages that do not have a phone number. On my old S4 I could block phrases to stop them, and I have seen numerous posts online that you can also do this with the S8, but on my phone I do not have this option. When I go to message settings the options are "Block numbers" or "Blocked messages". When I select "Block Numbers" there is no option to enter letters and when I select "Blocked messages" it just says no blocked messages. I have Android 9 and the message app version is 10.0.21.65 The software appear to be updated every few weeks and is right up to date.

Any help would be appreciated as I do not want to start looking at third party message apps.

The time before last when I charged my phone, I read the message that (from 25%) full charge would be achieved in 4 hours 38 minutes. On previous occasions it has always announced an hour and a half to full charge.
I managed to find the setting for fast charge (I'm afraid I can't now remember where I found it!) which was actually set on fast charge. All I could think of was to turn OFF fast charge and turn it back on again. I plugged in the charger again and was happy to see a charge time of one and a half hours again.
The last time I charged it, a couple of days ago, I received the same 1 1/2 hour predicted charge time.
Unfortunately, this morning when I put it on charge again I saw the predicted charge time had reverted to 4 1/2 hours. I haven't changed any settings.
Can anyone please explain why the phone appears to have turned off the fast charge facility?

I have recently moved to the Middle East and have a new TV (Samsung Smart TV) and my first Firestick (4k model bought 6 weeks ago). It has not been taken out of the Amazon app environment so I am only using the apps freely available on the Amazon store. I am using ExpressVPN.

The setup is great for getting me live and catchup TV from home as well as the usual Netflix/YouTube etc.

I discovered the screen saver facility and loaded a pile of photos to my Amazon account so I can see family and friends from home (I am batchelor status here). I love it.

The problem is that the screensaver only works for a certain short period of time before the screen blacks out. If I am listening to a radio app on the Firestick the radio continues after the screen blacks.

I've checked the TV and Firestick settings and cannot find a setting which creates a timeout.

I would like the the screensaver to continue for longer. If I use the Amazon photos app in slideshow mode I can't listen to the radio app at the same time.

Any idea why the screen is blacking out and what settings need changing?

I have used 3G Watchdog bug no longer supported.

Best replacement. Want to know which apps are using my mobile data, by day/week/year. Enter my data limits and monthly contract roll over date and get warnings when near limit. Don't mind paying.
