Hi All,
I have a Verizon GS5 (SM-G900V) and removed the sim card to use as wireless only. I did a factory reset and wiped everything. I set it up without the sim and want to root it, and then install Touchwiz-AOSP rom (I think). I can't root it and need help.
Any ideas are apprecciated.

My wife's Pixel 3 phone ringtone somehow keeps resetting. It will reset to a ringtone listed as 2131689476. The ring is one small non-repeating beep so she never hears her phone ring.

Anyone have any thoughts as to what is happening?

I happened across a Lenovo 8SSA10M13947C charger for a laptop and wondered if it would be safe to use with my Galaxy S10+?

It says output includes 5V at 2A, and I believe that's what my current charger uses?

I have used Nova for years and love it. With the Pixel 4 and all the changes, are we better using the native launcher? Your thoughts?

It came from false webroot app

when I inserted sim card from my nexus 6p into pixel 4 and after setting up the mobile connection was showing 5Ge but after having at&t support sync the old nexus 6p sim card to the pixel 4 well both the nxtgen etc settings and another saying att wap what the heck is that? anyways both are greyed out cannot change them and the nxt gen one will not connect to at&t mobile network now only the att wap network works and shows only 4g connection.

I am used to my nexus 6p not getting at&t full 4g lte network as at that time a crazy thing oh its unlocked so even though you pay same as carrier locked phones for a data plan you are not allowed to use the full lte network whattttttttt.
so seeing prior to sim card sync it was on there so called 5 g network I would think now the unlocked google pixel 4 phone is allowed to use 5g network.

so those of you that have one and on att can you tell me the correct apn settings as I can create a new apn I just cannot delete or edit the current ones or did the support tech lock me out and a trip to at&t store for a new sim card is needed?
Thanks for any help on this and I tried searching online and only get the apn that's greyed out on phone now and it flat refuses to connect using those apn settings.

first off if you lose your pixel 4 look under your mashed potatoes! I came from a nexus 6p its big! but pixel 4 grows on you size wise! so if your wanting a bigger phone you might want to opt for the Pixel 4 XL!
yes where did all the buttons go at the bottom? I miss the back arrow already this new pixel relies on 2 arrows accessed from left/right sides of screen to exit the current app to get back to main screen its a learning curve.
all are upset with battery size go to a carrier store of pixel 4 and upon viewing it becomes obvious why battery is smaller!
but I played with it for 6 hrs straight and it still had 24% battery left and for me this is okay as am sure how I use it will last longer as constantly using a smartphone not so much. for those of you who are constantly working a smartphone strap a battery charger on and a extension cord you'll need it.
navigating the main screen and opening closing an app takes some getting used to its all about your hand now and they put 2 arrows hidden but if you swipe left or right across screen it closes the current app and returns to main screen it so far matters not where on screen sides you swipe it seems so far to work anywhere along its length.
using the new swipe to change music tracks takes some practice they say look for a line folks forget line look for a minute white fog that once you see it and move hand from right to left it glows somewhat and looks like an ocean wave as you move hand across the screen I don't see me using this feature.
I think the always on display if disabled will aid in better battery life longevity and ironically in settings it says it will use more battery and you might want to turn it off.
I will say the screen is smooth and fluidly moves found no lagging in this I have however run into at times I want to open an app on main screen and it opens to a pop out window with choices of what to do this occurred after using it awhile and I made no settings change to make this happen and yet as fast as it started it went into cyberspace and apps started opening again normal maybe a software glitch?
and not sure where the free photo backup went to if you pre ordered early as so far I show 15 gbs of storage for phots not the advertised free 3 months 100gbs! but will figure that one out later.
I am wishing I did not get the case cover from google its not a screen saver type so buyers beware seek a real case cover that will take the hard knocks and will better protect the screens face the google case is no more than 1/32 of an inch above the glass screen! and they are slick as in slide out of your hand slick!
all in all I am pleased with the purchase of pixel 4 and my wife who has small hands held mine for awhile and the fit is good for her!

It meets all of my needs at a good price (for the screen/battery capacity). However, even at half price offer (I know it is marketing) it was on the edge of my budget and foolishly didn't order the case (about £15) at the same time.

I know i'll drop it at some time... I can't find a case anywhere and the phone website doesn't have a shop to order one although they offered it when selling to me..

Well I got another error now. My tablet died and now it won't turn on. I tried pressing down on the volume down and power button for a bit but all it does is briefly flash on for like a second then turns off. When I plug it in nothing shows up on the screen indicating it's charging.

Yes i have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-S920L and one day it just went freakin bonkers. Apps started crashing, rebooting itself over and over, then it would only boot into recovery mode and now it wont boot at ALL. No sign of charging when plugged in nor can i boot it in download mode. When plugged into a PC the pc chimes and in device manager it comes up as QUALCOMM HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3). This phones software has never been tampered with. My grandmother had it if that says something. No root. Is this phone fixable or not. If its something i can do like reflashing (which i tried to no results) or anything of that sort i can do it. A hardware which i'd like to know than of course no i can. Plz help or advice.

Hi! I developed the main activity of my app. On there there is a button which when clicked goes to the Second Activity.

This is my first app, so I needed suggestions on a design issue. I downloaded the Google Play Services because I want to create a real-time locations map on the Second Activity page. The issue is:

1. Should I develop another app with the Google Maps, then link it by including it in the Second Activity.kt code?

2. Should I work with only my first app, where I code a real-time Google Maps into the Second Activity? This by the way on how you do it is a little difficult to search for.

I own a galaxy s9 and from the past week all sounds have been coming through the ear speaker only. Music, Videos, Game sounds, Alarms and everything else. I tried clearing the cache, updated the phone and restarted the phone multiple times but there is no change.
