Can anyone give me, or point me to, step by step instructions to rooting the Samsung Galaxy A10? Not done this before on any phone, so a bit of a novice.
I want to root to activate the stock android call recording feature.

first off I am old school so have never tried getting info from any phone to a new one. I currently have a google nexus 6p and am going to the new pixel 4. I understand the pixel 4 comes with an item called a switch so my first question using that can I choose what to copy from nexus 6p to pixel 4?
I really don't want to copy or sync all from the nexus 6p what I only want is my contacts and photos.

now the nexus 6p does sync some items and I think I backed up last week and only synced the contacts and photos so would setting pixel as a new phone first and then log into google and let it add the backup I made or is this a bad idea ?

I've a samsung galaxy note 8.

Today the phone unlocked itself.
I had used a payment app 5 min before. Layed the phone next to my pc. Had gone to homescreen and black-screeened the phone. and suddenly it lit up. First the lock screen and then went into the payment app.

I have had it unlock before but found out it was because setting fail of mine.

Anyone who can help or have tried this?

I don’t use android so I’m not familiar with it. Maybe this is kinda weird but my bf sent me a screenshot yesterday and I noticed some weird heart shaped app icon. I asked him if its a dating app but he just said he doesnt know what it is.. that made me uncomfortable so I just thought i‘d ask here. Maybe someone knows what it is. I couldn’t find the app in the iPhone appstore so yeah..

Will pushing on the Motorola G7 Play screen with my thumbs to push the phone out of a case with a built-in screen protector crack the screen just from my thumbs, and would I easily notice the cracks or would I not notice them at all?

Could I easily tell if the screen on the Motorola G7 Play is cracked especially when looking at a completely white image, and after pressing on the screen with my thumbs trying to get the case off the device?

Hi! I use a 64GB microSD as an expanded storage on my LG Stylo 4. Following the notification on the phone, I formatted the SD card to "portable storage". However, when apps tried to open microSD files, I got error messages such as "file is damaged" or " file is empty". But if I copy the same file to the internal drive, the apps can open all the fils just fine. Is there a way to fix the problem? Thank you!

How do I do that? I keep running into that error message about a file too big to use. Other times it's fine. Isn't there some way to fix that?

Hey there, i dont know what i did, but now it show a blue ring around my apps, in menu, on homescreen, and on screen switcher, and on other stuff, do someone know how to turn it off?

I'm new to the Samsung Tablet world, trying to choose the tablet that would best meet my needs (probably a used one, due to cost)... The list of tablets in the forum shows several categories of tablet names:
Tab, Tab+letter, Tab+number, Tab+letter+number, Note...
Please tell me if there are congruent hardware features that group these? First of all, what is the main differences between the Tab and the Note?
and among the Tab categories?

Also, it would be wonderful to see a combined list, with dates of production, of all Samsung tablet-type devices? It would be really helpful, showing at a glance if a Tab A is newer than a Tab 4 or a Note 7, etc...

Had my S8 for near 3 years and now my screen will not work properly. My screen will either not respond to my touch of the screen, or there will be phantom touches. I've tried hard reseting and soft resetting. None of it works. Tried Samsung support and got 0 answers. Hoping I could try out here, and see if I could get an answer.

I work at a theraputic community and we have a small fleet of vehicles and the drivers will be using android phones to communicate with the main house, where to go, who to pick up, etc...
I really need a way to "lock" the phone so that it can only make certain calls and recieve only certain calls, also would like to track the phones mobile locations via the gps. I found an app that looked as if it would work, only allowing what we decided they could use but I cannot find the info on it again. It was $50 or around there for 5-6 licenses a year etc...
We cannot afford much so that could be an issue but this one was fine and seemed to do everything we needed, I beleive the name started with an M or the like.
I am sorry I have not much more info but really need to find a program like this ASAP, again, we would like to block just about everything but certain calls outgoing and incoming and still be able to track them via gps.

So earlier my tablet just keep shutting down i ignored it went on my way. Then later on it just keeps shutting down then showing the home screen (without the ui), i fixed it by plugging it on a power source
then pressing down the power button. Should I be concerned? Do you know what happened and will it happen again?

I have a ZTE Maven with Android 5.1 on AT&T.
I picked a keyboard form the Play Store & set it as the keyboard to use. (Settings - Language & inputs)

After I re-start the phone, the keyboard being used goes back to the stock keyboard. I can re-choose the new keyboard, but another re-boot sends the stock keyboard back as the one being used. Every Time!

Thinking it may be a glitch to that particular keyboard app., I tried several keyboards. They all do the same thing.

Do you know of a setting I may have to change to let the selected keyboard remain as the default?

I'm looking for either a calendar with adjustable snooze or an add-on app for the Google calendar. I was wondering if any of you know of a good one.

The Story-
I used to have Calendar Notifications Plus by Sergey Parshin on my Android 5.1 phone.
That app would show a notification when the Google Calendar event triggered. i could swipe down and pick a time to snooze from a list I could make. For example- I had 5 minutes, 1 hour and 4 hours.

Due to a crash, I had to reset the phone & re-install the apps.
Sadly, the app is no longer available. I tried using a legacy version from archive org. It did not work.

My biggest desire is to have adjustable snooze times. I searched all I could find on the Play Store and came up empty.

Do any of you have a recommendation for one you have used and liked? A replacement calendar would be OK if it syncs with Google calendar.

New to the forum. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or ideas.

I've got a Moto E4 running android 7.1.1 (latest software update in France). No problems at all until just recently. Battery draining at about double normal rate for no apparent reason. When I go into battery usage details the categories (Screen, wifi, google play services) only add up to about 12% total yet the drain is 70% total. Don't know if that's relevant or not.

So I cleared the cache partition and problem seems to be fixed. Then 2 or 3 days later, high drain rate again. Cleared cache partition again and for 1-3 days no problem, now drain back again. No new apps downloaded recently. No unusual usage. Most apps have sync permissions turned off.

Has anyone any ideas or suggestions other than factory reset which I'd really rather avoid if at all possible?

It's all about my friend's Samsung J Max device. The device is completely fine but cannot input the commands by touching the screen. According to the technician's advises, it costs a bit a lot to repair it. I need to know, is there a way to operate the device via another phone to only get the stuff inside it? As the Media transfer option cannot be selected, no option to use PC..Any advanced technical advice? Actually, no addition backup has been used, unfortunately. Wet in rain was the problem for the issue

Anybody else noticed a battery drain on bluetooth with Android 10? I noticed yesterday that my phone dropped from 100 to 92 after a 5 minute drive with my car kit connected, and then the same again this morning. Phone isn't doing anything else, it's in my pocket, and just the car kit connecting up.

i am a student of final year and i decide to make my degree project in an android.i need some great ideas that is in your mind about android and if i like your ideas then i chose one of best idea and make a degree project.
