I need an app, like a clock or reminder that will chime (X) minutes BEFORE the hour, like 3 to 5 minutes before the hour. I can find a number of apps that will remind or chime 15 minutes before the hour, but I need something more selectable than that, sooner before the hour than that.
Ideally, where I can select it to do this during certain hours, not every hour, if possible.

Before I spend a bundle on a new phone, I want to try to use an SD card as internal storage. I understand I need to root my device first. Is that correct? I have no fear of rooting. I mean if I mess it up, I'll just get a new rooted, phone. But I really like this one and I hate to waste money.

I transferred approximately 125,000 text messages from My Samsung s7 to my new Samsung s10 about 10 days ago. Everything went smooth and I could see all my text on my new phone. Over this past weekend, I lost all of the text between my son and me, goes back for years. Not sure why? He has them on his phone. I did not delete them. He was still in my phone as a contact. We could text back and forth without issues, I just had no history on my phone.

My phone is backed up to the Samsung cloud. The last backup was last night.

1. Is there a way to restore just one person's text? or do I have to restore all text messages?

2. When Samsung does the back up each night, is it just appending the new text between backups or does it back up everything as of that time? I guess what I'm trying to determine is if the text messages between my son and me, prior to this weekend, are there or not to restore?

3. Looking at the web portal of Samsung Cloud, it does not allow me to see any details of the backup, besides date and time and size. So I assume there is no way to view text messages outside of the app on my phone?

...my pix2 is so hard to view with bright light hitting screen (ie sun or close electric light) ... that im having to resort to auto screen brightneess so that it can boost the screen in these situations (will my battery cope! )

...not 100% sure whether this is just general or the pix2 ... or due to my oil coating being knackered :/

I don't know what has changed recently, but whenever I try to open pure text display in an app, this app stops immediatgely.

My phone is a Nokia 1 running on Android 8 Go.

The apps where I currentluy notice this are

K9 e-mail
Denkzettel memo management
X-plore file manager with file viewer

There may be others, but it seems that this has nothing to do with these particular apps but with the Android system itself.

Can anyone advise how to fix this, please?

One of my colleague installed an app from playstore named Bangla keyboard type.

Now his phone is locked as he could not enter his password in Bangla keyboard and could not select Samsung keyboard while phone is locked.
Could someone help please.

Has anyone had an issue with basic plastic rubbing on the screen damaging it? I have a wallet case, with my cards sticking out as i always have on my S5, S7 & S8, and got the exact same case for my 3 month old S10+. Is this normal? Or could it be replaced under warranty maybe?

Has anyone else had issues with their bluetooth connectivity? Whenever i connect to a bluetooth device, it'll connect fine, but after anywhere between 30sec and 5 min, it'll stop my media untill i move or wake my phone up. It doesn't do this constantly, or with every device, it will pick and choose. Has anyone else had this issue?

I am having a bigtime battery problem .the frustrating part is that its gone from one extreme to another ....this is the second time I have typed this so.....ya know I'll prolly forget to mention something..... Im very aggitated right now but I'll try not to be too vague.so like i was saying one extreme to the next ...ive been on my charger all day it hasn't bitten fully charged not once...i think it got to 94% once today and the when i started using it out immediately started discharging......and rapidly i might add... I just dont understand it... When i got on my phone this a.m. i was on it for approx. 30 minutes b4 it fully discharged. Someone said it was all the background data eating the battery up.... Could that really be it and if so can i fix this somehow.... Any other ideas.?

I'm going to buy a Huawei Mate 30 Pro, but as Google Services are not supported officially on Huawei mate 30, is there a way to like side-load it?

What should I buy? I'm buying via network carrier so these are my two only options in this price range.

So far I've watch 10+ reviews for both of them and they seem like great phones, but I don't know which one to pick. Xiaomi is about $85 (75 euros) cheaper, but Samsung has better screen.

I was leaning towards Samsung, but I've read alot of complains about it like battery drain, overheating, WiFi disconnecting etc. Also I've read that Samsung mid-range phones go slow after a while and the developer support is poor. As for Xiaomi, I've read that there are ads in it. Never had Samsung nor Xiaomi so I don't know about that.

I'll be using phone for internet browsing, YouTube, music, maybe some light gaming, nothing demanding. Camera does not interest me at all.

Today I want to share an app that's really cool with you guys.
The app called WhatsD0g it allows you to see when a contact goes online in WhatsApp even if that contact blocked you or hid his Last Seen informations.
You get a notification each time the contact you are tracking are entering the chat window of the WhatsApp or is leaving the chat window. You will also get a history of his activity with exact timestamps of the time spent in the chat window of WhatsApp.

For as long as I've had my phone, I've just used a pattern unlock. Well, today I tried to set up the fingerprint unlock.
Went through all the steps and the phone indicated that it had saved the print, but when I tried to unlock the phone the pattern unlock comes up with a message that says "Unable to use fingerprints. Draw pattern."
