Help Use USB for ... > now out of charge. Help!

In order to attach my phone (Nokia 7.1 on Android Pie) to a DAC/headphone amp, I set my phone via developer options to "use USB as audio".
I thought I'd changed it back to "use USB as charge", but perhaps I didn't. :-(
Anyway, the phone has now run out of charge, and will not re-charge or turn back on. I'm now pretty stuck. The battery is non-removable and does not charge wirelessly.
Any ideas?

WestCoastRomS For Google Devices

HI all ive been slowly working on a custom Rom that will drop next week, Base source is available now and custom vendor/tweaks will soon be ready. Based on AOSP and Lineage, along with a few others, adding your device via local_manifest.xml will be a breeze.

You can find some scripts put together on my personal git hub ill post the links.

For the newer Compilers getting there feet wet for the first time visit the Centurion83 page and grab those setup scripts. Cheers!

Bluetooth Serial Monitor for Arduino

Hello. I have made an arduino project that uses a keypad and OLED display to save the user's input for date, price, litres and miles for my car so I can track MPG. I have done this so it saves the data to an SD card like this (Date, Price, Litres, Miles):

020819, 12.18, 15.14, 121.4
100819, 12.18, 15.14, 121.4
160819, 12.18, 15.14, 121.4
310819, 12.18, 15.14, 121.4

This is fine for a manual extract of the SD card and then just dropping the txt file into excel on my PC, I can plot a graph for MPG over time like this fine.

But I have now implemented Bluetooth to my project just to expand my coding knowledge and to eliminate the need to extract the SD card.

My question is, could you help me try to make or find an android app to either save the incoming serial data to a .txt file (basically copying the txt file on the SD card to my phone), that I can then use excel on my phone to view; or to expand my knowledge even further to try and code an app of my own that simply looks at the serial monitor to then plot a graph and copy the txt file on the SD card as well maybe.

Is there a way that I could use the MIT app inventor? The only mildly related information I could find so far is a spanish video that I am finding hard to follow:

Question about Moto E4 owens Blutooth issue.

OK I got a crazy bug happening to me and I can't sort it out. Your litterally my last stop in sorting this.

So, I'm running Incipient 14.1-20180902 Unofficial-owens on my Moto E-4-plus .. Its been running great.

A few months ago (July), i got a new car. A 2016 VW Golf with a super cool infotainment system. I paired my phone before leaving the dealer. Phone synced up perfect. Off to the races.

About 2 weeks ago, I was driving listening to audio vie the phone Bluetooth and I lost my connection. "No big deal, I'll re-pair it when i get home" i said

I got home, did the re-pair, and saw that I could change my cars's bluetooth ID . I thought I would be cheeky and change the name of the car to "Tim's VW" . no big deal. THUS began my troubles.

In renaming the car I screwed up the relationships already stored in the car and the phone. I couldn't get the phone to re-pair. It continually came up with a "wrong pass-key" error on the phone. I banged my head on a wall for about an hour - factory - reset the car system which set the name back to the default , my phone immediately paired and all was good... I thought.

I then discovered that my phone contacts hadn't synced. I jumped into settings and had to "check" the contact box in the blue tooth settings.... ok ... should be good togo? nope! ... no contacts ...

I have erased and re erased Bluetooth settings, cache etc etc on the phone.. factory wiped the car a couple times. The phone connects to the car fine, even syncs text messages... still no contacts. I took the car into VW, hoping it was a car issue... nope, they were able to connect and sync an iphone and another android...

So I'm left with the issue being my phone...... I'm lost. Do any of you have any thoughts at all? I'd rather not wipe the phone and start again ... but i'm going nutz

Help Problem clearing the Recently Used apps

I recently discovered that different cell phones handle "Clearing Recently Used Apps" differently. Some just clear the apps from the list while the LG V40 does a "Forced Close" on those apps. It is causing a problem with my calendar app, it screws up the reminder alarms. Does anyone know if there is a way to keep the force close from occurring on the single app? (or all apps) I've looked in the phone's settings for the app without luck. I'm discussing with the app's author about including a setting to do that (if possible). Any help will be appreciated.

Unseekable stream - Android vs Windows

yes, I know this is an old problem and often answered, but some questions still keep bugging me.
When watching video's from my (in-house) mediaserver on my (Android) phone and tablet, I can often not 'fast-foward' or jump to somewhere in the movie. Extremely annoying as, after every interruption, I have to re-start from the beginning.
I tried a variety of players; some courteously inform me of the problem: 'unseekable stream'. So I looked up the discussions on that subject and learned about missing 'index' data and ways to add them to my video files.
Now that's all well and good, BUT questions remain:
First, how can it be that I do NOT have this problem on my (windows) notebook? Sure, I do not see 'thumbnail' images when moving the slider, but that's a minor detail; I can jump to anywhere in the movie quite fast. This doesn't rime with the explanations I red for this error. Are all Android players simply dumber or less capable then their windows counterparts? Why would that be?
My second question is more pragmatic: isn't there a media-server around which automatically adds the neccessary indexes to my video files? (Adding them by hand, one by one, is a big nuisance.)
I'd be grateful for answers to either of these questions.

Help Is it possible to upgrade 8 years too late!

I have an HTC Desire S which I've owned from new. I currently use an HTC 10 but want to revive the Desire S for my partner's use, but I can't find a way of making it usable. It's running Android 2.3.5 and when I try to do a software update through the settings menu I'm told "Your phone is up to date" and that there are no updates available. I've seen that there was a possibility of upgrading to ICS back in the day, but I haven't had any success. I've tried various guides for rooting, installing custom ROMs etc, but everything seems to run aground - eg crucial files (su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip) are no longer available, Android Market no longer works etc. I've tried unlocking the bootloader from the HTC developer site (on a linux desktop) but I'm unable to get the necessary token (I get stuck on the "awaiting device" message...). I'm at my wits end. This is a device in near mint condition and I can't believe there's not a way to upgrade it to a slightly more recent version of Android, at least to one using the Play Store. I don't particularly want to root it or do anything fancy ... Can someone offer some sound advice or point me to a currently available, up to date guide? Details of the phone are as follows:

Google play app download

I had a Nokia assigned to my Google app page which I no longer use, my phone added recently is my new Honor 9x, I have been happily adding new apps to this phone, when I looked at my recent downloads I noticed they were showing up on my old Nokia which is no longer in use, how can I make sure my downloads go to my new device and not the redundant one ?
thanks
