It's been a while I'm having this problem, every app that uses this "choose an action" window to upload a file, like Google chrome in this site, ends up not doing anything

The usual pop-up window appears, but when I choose the app I want to open to choose a file (like gallery, camera or anything else) nothing happens.

Anyone knows a solution for this?

I am trying to install a custom ROM on my OnePlus 6T, as I currently have no OS installed. I tried ADB sideloading LineageOS through TWRP recovery, but it gives me an error: "* failed to read command:". I also tried using the ADB push command. But that did not work either, it gives me the error: "no such file or directory". My OnePlus 6T is rooted and has the bootloader unlocked. I also am in ADB Sideload mode in TWRP when I attempt the sideload if anyone was gonna ask.
Is it just a simple driver issue or what is going on?
I have trouble finding help online, so I hope you guys can help me find a solution.

The ubuntu family of distros finally gets the highly anticipated linux kernel 5.0. This new kernel brings performance improvements, bug fixes, and more hardware support. You also get an updated X.org and graphics drivers.

The 18.04.3 point release was released 2 days ago on Aug 8th.

I've been using the new kernel for an entire day now and does feel snappier though it can be a placebo effect. Also hard to discern running on a fast SSD.

Very Important:
If you installed iso 18.04 or 18.04.1 you will not get the new 5.0 kernel. If you installed 18.04.2 or 18.04.3 then you'll get the new kernel because these point releases have “hardware enablement” (HWE) enabled.

How to get the kernel if you installed iso 18.04 or 18.04.1:
Open your terminal and run the following command...
Upon completion, you must reboot.

After rebooting open the terminal and confirm the 5.0 kernel is installed with the following command...
Enjoy kernel 5.0 and new X.org!

When I come to rebuild my apps Android Studio doesn't appear to have saved the key store password and key password despite save password being ticked (which it is by default). Is it me or is it a bug? I'm using the current version of AS.

I have Blu Grand M2 with Android 8.1 and there is a box on the home screen that has "Search" (it is not a google search) entered in it but it does not do anything when selected, how do I get rid of it?

What is the maximum download and upload speed for the models m20 and 30?., and which one from them has better camera? I watched some video clips on youtube and the camera was better on m20 but I don't believe that.

E10 tablet running Android 8.1. I cannot create folders for the apps. I have tried overlaying two apps as normal but folder does not create. Tablet was supplied with two folders installed for Google and MS apps so folders do exist!

Anyone got any ideas?

I've got 16G of storage. I've got 719M left. What the heck takes up so much storage, besides photos? How can I put all my photos on the cloud and still have easy access to them? How can free up storage without deleting apps I use regularly? I'm not a gamer. I don't have THAT many photos.

I'm having an issue with the slide down menu on the home screen, I cannot only slide down half way to adjust brightness and such it automatically open all way and if I try to slide it up manually to use it it automatically asks from my passcode.. never used to do that before. Hi all, I have a Droid Turbo 2 that is not reading a class 10 16 or 32G msd card. I have read through a lot of these forums, and have yet to find something that works. I have tried rebooting my phone in safe mode, cleared cached data from Settings>Storage>>Internal Shared Storage. Nothing. Tried turning debugging off and on, the same. Made sure that the USB option was set to MTP. Tried putting a piece of tape on the back to life it in case it wasn’t making contact. Nothing again. When I look either on the screen, it doesn't have a message, it just indicates that there isn't a card inserted. Also, when I try to hook it up to my Mac, Android file transfer says "Can't access device storage -- Make sure your device is unlocked and "File Transfer" or "MTP" mode is selected." It's on MTP. Zip. I just brought that up in case they might be related. I’m really lost here, guys. Does anyone have any other ideas? Please help!

Hi everyone, I have a question, I would like to pick your brains about something: I have the Note 8 and I am thinking about upgrading to the Note 10+, mainly for the screen real estate. I don't make a lot of calls, I don't really use the stylus a lot, I take pictures and videos, but not a lot. I do watch a lot, A LOT of movies and videos. I want to upgrade to the Note 10+ 512 GB. I want to get anybody's opinion. Is it worth getting the Note 10+, 512 GB? Will it perform better that the Note 8? If I trade it in, I will only get about $100 or $300 for it. I have T-Mobile. I believe they are having a promotion now. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

I got a notification of a PDF being sent by someone - it was mostly in Russian, so I tapped it and then selected "remove" from the menu. However, from the display, it looked like it was continuing to download and other than closing Drive, nothing I did stopped it.

In case this happens again, is there any way I can stop the download in its tracks? Can I set it not to open PDFs unless I approve?

I'm currently in prison. We have JPay5 tablets that are locked and require being synced to the kiosk monthly. However, I have my own phone, Moto e5. Can I tether my phone to this tablet and add movies and other files. I know it can be done. I just don't know how. Can anybody help???

I'm working on getting my first app ready for the play store. It's telling me that items marked with an asterisk are required - and Feature Graphic is tagged that way.

But according to this article https://developer.android.com/distribute/best-practices/launch/feature-graphic the feature graphic does not appear to be mandatory.

Do I just ignore the asterisk? If it's required, what do you do for something that, frankly, doesn't really need one?

Can someone help me hide my Google mail app. I can't use a vault app. I am under scrutiny by the staff here at the center I'm a resident at and subject to an immediate inspection of our phones upon demand. We cannot have any form of lock,pin nor passcode. I am constantly deleting my email everytime I check it and when I am expecting email of a sensitive nature it doesn't always come right then. Therefore leaving a window of time where I could be run down on and asked for my device leaving me vunerable. Please help me.I am a bit behind in the times as far as tech is concerned due to my lengthy incarceration period which was primarily in solitary with no contemporary magazines to keep me abreast. My comprehension skills are fair enough so dont be scared to explain as you guide me

On my Google Pixel I have the option to toggle individual replies or group replies (MMS) with group text messaging, but it's kind of a pain to get to.
Are there any apps that text groups and automatically creates individual messages (so that everyone in the group isn't receiving 1000 text messages)? I feel like doing this in app would be much easier than going into "settings", then "advanced settings", then "group messages", etc. to change it (only to have to change it back later on!)

So currently I own a LG L70 D320n phone and I was wondering if it was possible to provide me with the unlocked bootloader file or a specific tutorial to get it done. I want to put a custom recovery (TWRP) and i also want to flash a custom Lineage OS (android 8.1). The device is currently rooted with KingRoot and busybox installed. Any tips appreciated

EDIT: I also have problems getting fastboot on, since there is no output if i type "fastboot devices".
