I have a phone running Android 5.1.1 and I accidentally deleted DocumensUI (com.android.documentsui). The app's version was 5.1.1-183. Anyone have this apk file? How do I restore it?

Hi,

I am trying to find a way to unlock and lock the screen on my Google Nexus 6P by using some type of touch/swipe gesture on the screen instead of the power button. I do not want to use any security feature when unlocking the phone and require it to unlock directly. Is there a feature in android or any third-party apps that can achieve this?

I have a Samsung J7 with a purchased Theme. I liked my theme. Just got a system update, and now the colors are weird. The main issue I have with it is that, for example, samsung S20 ultra 5g klingelton
when I go into Settings, the head labels (ie- Display, Wallpaper, Lock Screen, etc) are now all in a black font (over a dark purple background, so they are basically unreadable). How do I keep my theme but change select font colors?? I also do not like that things such as the background of the top (where is says "Settings" is now white with black letters, instead of staying with the theme of dark purple background with green font color. I have tried reapplying the theme, but that didn't work)

I have purchased a new tablet (Amazon Fire 7) specifically to run an app for my work. However, the app has now updated and now defaults to webview.

I have made contact with the tech team and they say it will run web view on tablets and only app view on phones. The web view on this small tablet is useless! Very fiddly having to zoom and scroll etc.

My question is...can I trick the app into displaying app view?

Two days ago, out of nowhere and without changing any settings, the factory text/Messages app started acting up. The notification sound will not sound off, the vibration will not vibrate, the app button will not show how many new messages there are, and the notification light will not light up. I have restarted the phone and it fixed nothing. I need help please, I love the factory messaging app and need it work. Is anybody else experiencing this problem, and is there a fix?

So I'm looking for tips here. We live in a hard water area and our kitchen has been a nightmare to keep clean because of it.

See attached pic. Because we have a dark coloured worktop we can never use harsh chemicals or bleaching products to remove the scale marks.

We have tried a lot of products, even soaking the area in white vinegar over night. Which kind of works, seems to remove 60% of it however after cleaning it up and drying most of the marks return.

So have anyone got some ideas on how to remove these pesky marks?

Hi!

Ever since Friday, July 19, whenever I am reading an article in the Daily Mail Online app, the Play Store will quickly flash between 10-20 apps at me. These aren't embedded ads; the first one pops up in a small box, in the middle of my screen, graying out the article I'm viewing. Then more app ads open on top of that first one. I'll also see, in the background, a message saying Webpage Unavailable. I'll have to hit the back button until I'm back at the original article. It starts over again.

I've rebooted my phone, uninstalled/reinstalled the Daily Mail app, but it keeps doing it. Help!

Hi,

I want to use my Googe Nexus 6P as a dedicated remote control for my smart devices. I will be controlling the devices using the Logitech Harmony app which is linked to a Logitech Harmony Ultimate Hub. If I was to select the developer option for "stay awake" (screen will never sleep while charging) and if I keep the phone plugged into the charged 24/7, would the phone experience any overheating issues?

Hi all

I recently switched from Apple to Android with the Huawei P30. Great phone and great camera. However last week i dropped it and totally smashed the screen. I can feel the device turn on ok but can't see anything on screen.

USB Debugging wasn't enabled when the phone was 'alive' and now because i can't get into the screen i can't turn it on to extract photos, videos and other files.

An insurance claim is accepted to repair or replace but they will wipe the phone first so, before i send it off and lose everything, is there any way of enabling debug in this scenario? Is there anyway of simply mirroring the phone on a laptop screen for example?

I'm not techy enough to try some of the more advanced solutions i've seen so just wanted to explore a simpler and more direct route to extract photos and videos off a phone with no screen access and no debug enabled. I've seen loads of different bits of software that do the first bit but they always need debug enabled. And i can't enable it as i can't see the screen.

I suspect that there's no way of me doing this really but figured i should ask some more experienced users first.

Any help would be massively appreciated!

1. My phone will not backup to Google Drive unless I take off my PIN lock security. It then backs up.
2. However removing PIN protection disables Google Pay as PIN security is required.
3. I then have to contact my bank to re-validate my card for use with Google Pay. What a pain!
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

My results for any Google Search only shows the top results. One or two results at most and will show similar questions people have asked. That's it. It seems to be whiting out the bottom half of the page upon searching.
Things I've tried:
Updating Google App
Uninstalling updates
Restarting phone
Restarting in Safe Mode (same result)
Clearing Cache and Data for Google App
Syncing
Removing Primary Email account
Adding Primary Email account again

It works fine in Chrome with no issues.
Also works fine if I select More and then select Use Without An Account, which is not ideal for me.

I now have to wonder if somehow this could be related to an update? Noticed my latest software update was a week ago now.

It's just really bugging me! Grrr.

I've tried updating it other ways but it says that I have the latest Android version. I just want to update my Android version!

How do I find out what to put in the region? I know it's CSC. How do I find my CSC?
I tried this:
settings > about > software information > service provider SW ver. it says ATT/ATT/ATT doesn’t that mean my region csc. should be ATT?

I also downloaded an app. called Phone Info and it says that my Active CSC is ATT. Do I put that for my Region in SamFirm and download it, then install it?

I want to do this safely. My phone is unlocked from AT&T will it affect the unlock status if I update to Pie via. Odin? Will it affect my SIM status (using METRO-PCS now)? How do I prevent from bricking my phone during this process because I heard it's easy to brick your phone via. Odin.
