MAC randomization on Android Q

Hello, I heard that on Android Q there is a MAC address randomization (probably both on WIFI and Bluettoth - but it is not clear)

So, I am testing this on Pixel 1 with Android 10, latest 5 June update and there are always the same MAC addresses on WIFI and Bluetooth, even I restart the phone.

What is the problem, maybe Pixel 1 has no hardware support for MAC randomization?

about the problem of exported apps doesn’t work without Tasker

An important note: Some exported apps works successfully without Tasker if the screen of the phone is on (surely if it can work when screen is on in Tasker before exporting).
Explanation1: Recently I have created a project. The aim of it is to open the flashlight without need to unlock the phone. Just by gestures. The project works successfully in Tasker. But after I'd exported it as an app and disabling Tasker. The app doesn't work.

Explanation2: My flashlight project is designed to run when screen is off. But to check my note I've edited my project to run when the screen is on in Tasker. Then after editing the project and checking that it runs in Tasker while the screen is on. I 've exported the project as an app then I've disabled Tasker. Then I 've installed the app. The result that the app runs successfully without Tasker while the screen is on.

The problem is: some exported apps don't work after exporting them as apps while it works in Tasker successfully before exporting them.
Notes:

I have an app installed on the same phone and done with Tasker also can run some tasks (like alert me by voice when Bluetooth is disconnected) while the screen is off and Tasker is disabled, so I think the problem isn't form the phone.

I've installed the same flashlight app on another phone (Galaxy A7 2017 android 8.0 ). It has the same behavior as my first phone (Galaxy A50 Android 9.0) .

In a previous project was a project to take call automatically when phone is ringing and standing up so the exported app doesn't work although the screen is on (because the phone is ringing)

The question: Could anyone, help me in order to make the exported apps can run successfully while screen is off ( if it works successfully before exporting them in Tasker) and the app that take call automatically can run without Tasker after exporting.
Thank all of you very much for helping me.

Can't use little microphone

On the screen keyboard and on Google Search there is a tiny microphone icon. When I click it, it comes up and I get the Speak Now window. I speak. The microphone flickers. I briefly get the chart where the lines go up and down, and THEN I get a Connection problem window which invites me to Speak again or Cancel.

I have an
 • LG Optimus V
 • PRL Version (61007)
 • Android Version 2.2.1
 • Model Number VM670
 • Kernel Version 2.6.32.9
 • Build Number FRG83
 • SW Version VM670ZV4
 • HW Version 1.2
For a very brief time, I was also unable to use the keyboard to compose a text message. This occurred after the microphone problem started. I can receive texts. I tried a soft reset - removing the battery when the phone was unplugged - but that didn't do anything. Later I tried removing the battery while the phone was running. This FIXED entering text messages using the keyboard :-)

I am considering next steps. I imagine the suggestion is going to be - get a new phone :-) But I love my phone. I HATE the hugeness of the new smartphone screens. They don't go in a pocket or my fanny pack. And my current plan is perfection. So I continue to work on a fix.

I have synchronized my phone contacts with my Gmail account - the cloud? Anything else I can part with.

Before I do a factory reset, I want to find out what this "Can't connect" message is referring to. What is the phone trying to connect to? (These problems do not resolve if I turn on Wifi or Bluetooth.) My 3G and network signals indicate that all is well. Has Android got a new connection location? If so, is there a way I can redirect to that?

The Default engine (and only engine listed) for speech synthesis is listed as PicoTTS.

If there are any other questions I should answer, just ask.

Thank you for your consideration.

A Few Random Questions

I've just got a few questions about the phone.

1) Always on display. Are people using this? If so, do they have it on at all times, or just to be activated by tapping the screen? Is it a severe battery drain if you have it on constantly?

Also, if I have it set to come on if I tap the screen, the clock appears in different locations on the screen. Eg. At the top or more more central. Is this normal? Or is there a way to make it appear in the same location?

I can only assume the above is to prevent screen burn which may occur from the clock appearing in the same location constantly?

2) Is there a way for the screen to wake when I receive a Whatsapp in the same way it does for the stock messaging app? I know you can enable the pop up feature, but this takes up a large part of the screen. I'd rather it just appear like the stock messaging app does - with a preview of the message etc.

3) Is there a way for edge lighting or the camera cut out to show an LED constantly for notifications until I acknowledge them? As there is obviously no LED like I was used to on my antique S6! The edge lighting or camera cut out seems to light up once, which is no use if you miss it the first time. You also have to sacrifice your normal notification pop ups if you enable the edge lighting feature. I currently have it disabled due to this and the fact it only works with some apps etc.

I've read about various third party apps, but am unsure whether to trust them or if they even work.

4) When adjusting notifications for various apps, you are given the option between "sound and sound and pop up". I have been unable to see the difference between these two options on apps such as the stock Twitter app. Could someone please enlighten me? It would obviously suggest that one is sound only and the other is a pop up of some kind, but I have tested both out on the stock messaging app and the Twitter app and there is no apparent difference.

Thanks in advance. I'm sure I will have more questions soon enough! Haha!

Memory full

My Hudl 2 internal memory is full, and I have tried to reduce this by clearing cache on apps. I do not have apps that use a lot of memory, so I cannot understand why the memory is full. I would like to download movies direct to the SD card. I have tried a couple of ways, but they don't work.

Help Stuck at boot loader, can't control anything.

One of my phone (Lenovo A6010) has had no physical volume control since like an year, because somehow the whole region was broken and literally ripped off, till now I used alternatives to control the volume like going into settings and stuff.

I never had any problem with restarting my device ever. But this morning when I decided to restart, it powered off and then when powered on took me into a screen which I believe is the bootloader which had "Download, Recovery, Fastboot & Power Off"

Followed by some text:
PCBA Test: Fail
Sensor Test: Fail
MMI Runin Test: Fail
MMI test: Fail

I believe that this is because of the broken volume keys and maybe for a reason the VolUp button is always toggled (in my device it's VolUp + Home button to launch the boot loader). So, tired of it I decided to factory reset by going into Recovery mode but it never loads, it just gets stuck at android logo screen forever. Same with the Fastboot mode option and Download mode doesn't even show anything just a blank screen.

Please help me get through this screen, or at least show me a way to extract documents from the internal storage, they are pretty important and stupidly not backed up.

Edit: I think its Factory Kit Test not bootloader
Edit2: So I just took the PCBA test which also gave an option to test the buttons, so as I mentioned before it maybe because of VolUp button toggled forever, it's not I just poked the volume button area to test it and it passed I can control the volume through the area without even the buttons. So it's not accidentally going into boot loader/Factory Kit Test.

Root Yureka 2 :NO OS installed .Do you want to reboot ? Clicked reboot.Mobile hangs

Hi,

I tried to install Lineage OS 15.1 custom ROM using TWRP recovery in my Yureka 2 YU5551. I wiped out the data before flashing. During flashing I faced Error 7 and unable to install custom ROM.Twrp asked this- NO OS installed. Do you want to reboot? I Clicked reboot and my mobile not even booted properly. Still hangs. I tried to open recovery mode using the power button and volume up and volume down button. I am unable to go to recovery mode. When I connect my mobile to my laptop its not recognizing as the phone is not restarting.
I really don't know whether my phone is soft bricked or hard bricked. My phone is rooted.

Can someone plz help me how to install an OS and start my phone. Thanks in advance.

Clearing the phones cache

For the less experienced users, when your phone starts acting funny, there are two basic things to try.
1. Shut your phone off, wait a few minutes and turn it back on. Sometimes that's all you need.
2. Next is to clear your phones cache. With the LG V40 ThinQ, there are two ways. I think each way does different things, and I'm not sure the second way works. Either way won't damage your phone.
Way 1 is with the settings.
1.Go Settings
2. General
3. Storage
4. Internal storage - Wait for menu options to finish calculating -
5. Tap Free up space
6. Tap Temporary files & raw files.
7. Select the following options: Cached data. Clip tray temporary files.
8.Tap Delete

An easier way is to shut off your phone, but I'm not positive this works. If someone else would try it a tell me what they get. I'll explain:
When phone is off, press the power and lower volume buttons at the same time and keep them pressed until you get the "System Recovery" menu. You'll know. Then select "Wipe Cache" and tap the power button. I'm getting a green icon (looks like the Android Man icon lying down with his door open and "error" underneath.
I'm not sure what that means. Probably it didn't work but I don't know why. Thanks in advance,
