I have one widget and one separated app


The widget can launch the application by passing parameters

typically I put 3 times the same widget on my home page with 3 different settings, for example A B and C

When I click on my first widget A, the application opens and receives the parameter A, good !!!
but now if I click on widget B, the application switches to foreground but does not receive parameter B


I think I know why, but I can not find a workaround:

Here I understand that it will work only when creating the app.


But I have tryed to move this code in the onResume and I always have the first parameter use to launch the app first time, and never the second one or third....


It seems that the intent is never updated with the extra parameter

Hi all,

as I was scrolling through my pictures this morning I noticed that almost 2 weeks of pictures have been grayed out in the gallery of my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. I checked Google Photos, thinking that they would still show up there, but the same happened. The weird thing is that before and after those 2 weeks all pictures appear normally. Can anyone help with this?

Hi there guys. I started working in Android development a few weeks ago. And i have some project, where i would need to remove green screen in gif, and play it over video. Is there a way i can do that in Android.canvas, or would it need to be done in Open GL? I found some articles about that, in Open GL, but not in Android.canvas.

Throughout the day random Chinese codes keep copying to my clip tray. I keep getting the "Copied to Clip Tray" notification every time it happens. It always copies something like this:

Below is a picture of what my cliptray currently looks like (and there's way more then what's shown in the picture) I've noticed that it most often happens when I'm about to type something. So is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know how to solve it?

A couple days ago I got a transfer warning (set on 2GB) and not even an hour later transfer got totally blocked, cause of reaching the max 5GB

This is my first post. BAZZ use to work on my Tracfone Galaxy J7 Skypro but has not been working for over two months. I have tried reinstalling but when I click Finish the app says "cannot find connection". All other apss work jut fine with our WiFI at home and the phone is paired with with my car's bluetooth feature. I do not like or use Android Auto.

I've searched the Internet from my computer (where I am now) to no avail. So I joined this forum to see if any other Tracfone users with a similar or exact same phone have an answer. I do know that Google Play removed it from the Play apps for some reason, however it's available through apkpure.com.

I only have swipe to unlock my screen.

I have it not to show the notifications content on lock screen and it works with Messenger.

But with SMS, it does show the content on lock screen. I even disabled it from the sms settings but it still shows the content.

But if i apply some sort of protection, like pin number to unlock the screen, the sms content is hidden! But with just swipe to unlock, it still shows thw content!

What can i do?

I am a newbie to a lot of this technology and would value your advice.

What I am trying to do is to use my A7 to control a remote camera - a Panasonic FZ1000 - and I am getting along quite well except for one aspect.

I have got the phone and the remote camera connected through the Panasonic app. and that works fine, the phone will control zoom, mode and may other things, all of which again, work fine. What I can't figure out how to do is to focus the picture before pressing the shutter release.

If I just take the picture without focusing, sometimes it auto-focuses, and sometimes it doesn't...so my question is, how do I ensure that the picture is in focus before I press the shutter?

My friend with the LG X Charge got a JBL Flip 4 speaker. He wants to get another wall wart for that and the Wonderboom (also bluetooth speaker) he already has. Does it take some kind of special one or is a regular ok?

So this has only started happening in the last week. I'll try to send a video to someone on the Messenger App but every time I always get the same error:

"Video is too big
At least one video is too big. Please resize and try again" download samsung ringtones

But this happens no matter what size the video is. Even trying to send videos that I've sent through to people previously, now give me the "too big" error. I just tried sending one and checked the size beforehand and it was less than 25mb (it was 2.75mb).

It's getting pretty annoying. I've tried updating my phone, messenger and Facebook and still nothing.

Lets say if my phone (needs password/fingerprint to unlock) is lost (or faulty whole screen is black/crack fully/cannot turn on and sent for repair), assuming the thief or repairman is an expert and can access the data inside, how can I prevent my data from being viewed/change?

If anyone unlocks the phone they can see the sms/whatsapp/gmail/contact list/calendar/photos...

Is there something that you can do to prevent data leak?
Is it possible like after the phone is lost/faulty, log out of all gmail and apps that are still logged in in phone and delete all photos/whatsapps/sms/contact list/calendar...

Is there anything to prevent the thief retry unlimited retry of pattern/number lock? Or set longer delay after wrong input?

I am getting a notification on the bottom of my screen that says "Detecting WiFi Signals Needs Location Permissions". The message pops up constantly, some times every 5 minutes, sometimes multiple times in a single minute. Has anyone else seen this or know how to get it to stop? I'm not even sure what app is creating it.

I have an odd issue;

The reminder screens that come up for events in the calendar app over-ride alarms set in the clock app. The reminder screens do not auto-dismiss, and appear silently. If an alarm is set to go off, and the reminder screen is currently up; the alarm will go off silently also.

Alarms do not go off silently if there is no event reminder screen up.

I can not find a way to stop this from happening. People are able to send appointment requests to my calendar, which even when not accepted, and with my default reminders set to off, will appear in my calendar with reminder times. I have over-slept many a time due to this.

I am trying to move a folder that contains several subfolders to my S10+ while maintaining the original folder architecture, but every time I make the transfer and try to view the files, it displays the files that were in each subfolder with no organization.

e.g. Folder A contains subfolder 1 and 2; subfolder 1 contains files a and b, and subfolder 2 contains files c and d. Upon transferring folder A, the phone will only show files a, b, c, and d with no organization.

Does anyone know how to make this work?

I purchased this tablet from Amazon last week and they didn't factory reset it so it ask for the original Google account info. I contacted the seller and they just sent me link of a YouTube video showing how to boot it up to the 'whatever' menu so I can erase all data and reset it to factory settings. Easy enough right? Nope... It comes up to a foreign language, I'm guessing Chinese and it's not even the regular menu the video shows. I'm now trying to just find out how to connect it to my PC with a usb cable and restore the software. The Lenovo support site is terrible. I can't find the instructions on how to do it.

I did connect the tablet to my PC and it recognizes it as a Lenovo Tab 4 10 and shows files, like Lenovo_Suite.exe, MagicPlus_setup.exe, SetupConfig.txt, etc but I don't know what to do with them.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I just got this phone last night, im not sure what apps i really need and what apps i can stop/disable because i dont need to take up storage for stuff i do not know. Please HELP!!! I'm not tech savvy at all so please be patient n explain like I am in kindergarten. TIA

So I always complain about battery life. I can never en to get good battery life from any phone I get. I've tried everything. I don't believe that a flagship phone only has a battery life of 14 hours. Putting it in battery save mode defeats the purpose of buying a 'great' phone. I'm not really a power user. I don't watch that many videos. I don't play games. To have the phone use 25% in 3 hours is ridiculous. I have done factory resets, disabled bloatware, etc. Arghhhh. Any ideas?
