I'm trying to make an app with accounts, but I'm struggling with SharedPrefences. I made them save the account name, and it works, but only when I kill app once, I can turn off the phone and get it back on, and it's still there, but when I kill the app with saved preferences for 3/4 times, all accounts are gone. What is the problem, I save preferences with onPause, onDestroy, onStop and read with onResume, onCreate, onRestart. Before I had only the onPause and onResume and it worked the same.

S10e as mentioned, no screen lock, 10 days old ... lost on highway from car bonnet (or hood, if you are from USA), run over by car tyres, but amazingly still works (was in a leather magnetic cover) but with no working screen obviously. Found using Find My Phone. Back cover intact. SmartSwitch installed before accident. At time of this post, the phone is still on, even after a week - thought the battery would have died by now.

PC running Win 10, Samsung drivers installed, detected phone in device manager after USB connect to native mobo port with no issues.

Kies 3 detects but won't connect - not compatible as I found out. SmartSwitch detects but won't interact beyond detection. Troubleshooting options in SmartSwitch all tried and failed.

Several recovery softwares ex Google tried, either not compatible with phone model or would detect but not interact.

Not saved to any cloud from November 2017 onwards which is the data I need. It could be the difference between my wife's imminent permanent residency visa being approved or rejected, as "together" photos are on the phone and are required for the immigration file...

I'm resigned to the possibility that I'm out of luck but thought I would try here in case any gurus have a possible answer.

My classrooms all have a huge touch screen tv - brand is Seewoo. I am sure that the tvs are rebranded - Seewoo is the company that makes the apps to control them. I would like to connect my google 7" tablet to the tv via hdmi. Is it possible to do this and still use the touch screen portion of the tv to interact with the tablet?

I am looking for an android app that will let me control the playback speed of the video (or audio) with a fairly high degree of precision. I don't just want an app that says slow/ normal/fast. I would like to find an app that lets me enter a number, i.e. .43 or .85 to slow it down or 1.37 or 1.53 to make it faster. Is there such a thing? I have read reviews but do not find this level of detail. They only mention whether or not the app can slow down or speed up the playback.

ok this is going to sound ridiculous, but i live in LA and i have not yet been to Disney's Galaxy's Edge yet. i have seen a live stream of the grand opening for Galaxy's Edge and i'm now obsessed with it. i really want to go, but all my friends here in LA are not Disney fans nor are they Star Wars fans. they think Disney is overpriced and overated.

ok so i spilled milk on my LG Q7 and then i tried playing audio and it didn't work. then i realized that it said headphones were plugged in, which they weren't. help idk what to do i tried restarting my phone and everything

I have an issue that when my phone is connected to the hands free car kit, the music plays fine through the car but when a call comes in, the call sound comes through the speaker on the phone.
Its happening on 2 BT car kits and other phones work fine.

Ive tried every setting I can including the BT settings on the phone but can't get around this problem.

Are there any hidden settings I can look for ?

Hello guys i need your help after deleting rom i taught i will open just TWRP and use usb-otg and install another rom. But phone is not responding at all to flash driver, sd card even computer can not see. All drivers was installed on computer when i use command "fasboot devices" it won't show up. It is not responding at all what i do not working almost done everything. Phone is charging normally also. What can be reason ?( I think it is hardware problem

Hi. I have been using my Note9 for business (as I have with all my past Android devices) and am struggling with sync of email, voice and txt messages. I use Google Voice for business but my customers insist on calling me on my Sprint number and it ends up in a separate email. With txt its the same situation. Is there anyone out there who can either help me or direct me to someone in my area (Long Island) that can. This is especially a frustrating situation since I now conduct my business (private car service) almost exclusively via txt. Thanks

Working on an app where I want to build phrases based off the time.

I want it to basically go like:
<when button is pressed - snapshot the current time, then using that time, sequence appropriate sound files as followed>
<"<The time is now.wav> <hourNumber.wav> <minuteNumber.wav> <AM.wav/<PM.wav>">

I would prefer to use soundPool since it's generally more optimized for this sort of thing, based off my limited research. As of now, every method I've tried uses the last sound file mentioned, and skips everything listed before.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but how do I train the google assistant to answer the phone? I don't mean pushing the green button and having the assistant start speaking; my mother is having vision problems and has a hard time seeing the green button(s), let alone being able to read if she should swipe or press. I want her to be able to say "hey google answer the phone" and have it issue the appropriate command to answer. Doesn't seem like it should be this hard, it can look up a contact and start the phone and dial the number, seems like it should be able to "push" the green button.

Anyone?

re STITCHER - I know there's a way to control what is playing via the lock screen - or at least to pause or to skip ahead 30 seconds - without having to enter the passcode and get into the app itself.

can anyone advise me as to how to set this up on my phone?

Update aborts - anyone know why this happens !!!!

My supervisor recently switch to Android. When he tries to send a new text message, he searches for the contact name but if they have more than 1 number, it doesn't show which is the mobile. In his contact list though, the numbers are identified by work, mobile, etc.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Y'all know the usernames, email addresses and passwords have been hacked from this site and are being used by spammers, extortionists (the "I know your password and have been videoing your Porn habit..." scam) and who knows who else.

How do I know? I have a unique email address for every site I register on and regularly get spam, "I know your password" etc...to this address with what used to be my password inserted.

So those of you who use the same email address and password combination for multiple sites... change your passwords!!

When listening to certain podcasts , eg BBC Sounds or internet radio, I can black out the screen, disabling the buttons, and put the phone in my pocket. There are some TV programs and videos that are just as good to listen to as watch but in these cases, I can't disable the buttons, so I keep inadvertently stopping the program/video. Is there a trick I'm missing?

I have both a Huawei P20 Lite (model ANE-LX1) and a Huawei tablet (Model BAH2-W19) and I wish to hide some built-in apps on both. I know about the pinch-out gesture on the Home screen to bring up the hide app menu but this doesn't work on either device. Is there another way to bribg up this menu? The apps I want to hide cannot be disabled.
