I am trying to root my Galaxy s7 edge: G935F or my Galaxy tab A 2016: T580 with odin, but both aren't being recognized by my Windows 10 computer. They do charge but don't seem to recognize my computer either. However my computer does recognize my Galaxy s5 neo and my Galaxy A5 2017. I've searched a lot and tried everything i found.

Which involves:
Different computers, ports, cables; and I consistantly get te same error.
Original cable
manualy install drivers, removing all usb drivers and reboot computer.
factory reset
Enabling developer options, usb debugging and usb configuration is set to Media Transfer Protocol.
I switched off selective usb interruption in my computers power management and dissabled quick boot.

Are there other things I could try, to make the computer recognize my S7 edge or Tab 2016. The only thing I could find, is that the ports of the devices itself are broken. Since both devices behave and charge normally I doubt this really is the case.

Since my main goal is to get one of the two rooted, maybe someone knows a way to do this without the use of a usb connection. I geuss one-click root methods don't work on these devices and I wasn't able to find something trough micro sd or a wireless option.

I have a question about my J7.
It's about typing text.
In most (or all) phones there is a tool built in like T7. That helps you to type text faster, cause many words
appear in the bar already when you have typed the first 3 or 4 letters.
I have the impression that in my Phone that help only works when I use the English language.
I am Dutch and then It seems that I can't use it.
Do I have to manage some settings and how do I do that?

Personally, I was a bit disappointed in the selection. Other than a few fonts, there's nothing there for me.
I find navigation difficult and it seems that much is already available on Google Play.

I'm developing a music player app, it's my first Android app ever so I'm navigating these waters. So far everything is going decently, a few hangups, etc., but still getting there.

So my question: I have my music service playing and I need to control it from several screens. Think "Google Play" app, "Spotify", were you can do the normal pause, resume, next, prev, etc. from a main category page, a song detail page, and others. I did some googling, and I found the following reference on Stackoverflow:

While it may seem legit enough, but one subcomment said this is a bad pattern to store variables in the Application itself, use persistence, etc. My question: Does the SO answer make sense, is it correct, or is there a better way I should do this?

As I walk or drive around I frequently get an intrusive screen on my phone asking me to Sign In to Cable WIFI.
Is there any way to prevent this short of turning wifi off?
I get no notification when I'm in range of any other wifi network.

Hi, it is weird.
Normal current is available in all my plugs used for charging.
but i find it peculiar that it takes some times to charge 5 hours to become fully charged and at some times it takes normal three hours.
i bought the phone on 2016. i changed the charger usb and battery to new ones from samsung service centre and approved dealers and confirmed the genuinity of the products.
Why it is so? how to check, if my board is working properly all times. give clues

Hello. I'm dissatisfied either with Android or the Moto Z2 phone, I'm not sure which. I've had Android phones pretty much ever since Android began, but never have I had a phone that behaves like my current phone. I hate the phone so much I'm getting rid of it, but that leaves me to wonder is it the phone or is it Android. Do I cross over to the other side and get an iPhone, or go back to Samsung?

This Moto Z2 pops up applications I have on the phone at random times. I could be watching a Xfinity TV app and out of the blue, my GHIN app will pop up. At times, the app that ties to my car hijacks the phone. Sometime I can't even get into the phone. I use my thumb print to gain access and sometimes it won't recognize my thumb. You would think it would pop up the password screen but it doesn't. It will do nothing.

Are these symptoms of Android, or are these symptoms of the Moto Z2. I think I would prefer to stay with an Android phone, but I've very close to going to iPhone.

I would welcome others comments.

My app only can open the excel app but not the specific file that I want to open. Is it possible to open directly the excel file that we click and not just open the excel app.

I lost my Amp Prime 2 weeks ago. I suspended my acct, then I got new sim. I call to reinstate service and activate new sim because I got a different phone and they're saying that it's gonna take up to 72 hours! to activate sim?!?!?! Why in the heck does it take so damned long for this?

So, I'm wanting to turn off parental controls that is now affecting my apps.

It wouldn't even let me download this forum app.

My mother said she didn't set it up and neither did i. It's asking for a pin, so I find a Google play pin thing and change the pin. Go to settings, try to turn off parental controls. Tells me I have to put the pin in. When I put the pin in it says it incorrect when I know it isn't.

Several times each day I'll hear and/or feel the start of a notification--like the alert gets aborted part-way through--and then nothing happens. There's no new alert/notification.

A couple of times I caught a quick glimpse of the alerting app before it disappeared, and both times it happened to be the NBC4LA app. I checked its notification settings but didn't see anything odd.

It's happening more often, and it's kind of annoying.

On a related note, I do not have any apps set to vibrate on alerting, but as noted above, I'm hearing and/or FEELING these phantom alerts. I don't know of a way to search through all my apps' notification settings to track down whatever rogue apps are vibrating. I definitely do not want to go through them one by one!

I've got an android SM-T110 Samsung tablet that won't turn on and i'm a little stumped if the problem is with the battery or the motherboard. Is there an easy way to tell? Or is just replace the battery and hope the best the best course of action to take?

I've got it plugged into a usb multimeter to measure the power draw, and it's taking in 0.4A. So there's some form of life in it at least. I tried booting it without the battery installed but no luck, it registers 0A. Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

So far I've thought that iOS is safer than Android when it comes to physically accessing the data on the device.

I use iOS with a 6-digit PIN code. I found out that some computer programs (like PhoneRescue) can extract my notes, photos, contacts, calendars, and more from my iPhone without having to unlock the iPhone.

I wonder if this can also happen with the Android encryption technology?

Unfortunately, I do not have Android, so I can not test it myself.

I have a Garmin Forerunner 25 fitness watch paired with my Huawei P20 Lite phone. All works flawlessly most of the time but sometimes the watch and phone refuse to connect even though they are In range. The strange thing is that the Bluetooth icon disappears from the watch but the Settings screen shows that Bluetooth is still on. The only way I have found to get phone and watch to connect again is to turn Bluetooth off and on again on the watch. I have been in touch with Garmin regarding this and all they said is that the problem is with my phone. I find this difficult to believe because the only way to get things working is by doing something on the watch. I am no expert in those things so it could be that Garmin are correct. Do any of you have any suggestions of things I could try?

So this isn't technically about the Gear 360, but about the Gear 360 Action Director software for editing it all together. I have a couple of videos of events I shot in VR, but I wanted to insert images and titles in it. Apparently either that isn't possible, or I don't know the trick. Every time I try, I have to select "Panorama" mode and that messes up the VR video. Is there no way to insert a flat image or text in a VR video without one or the other messing up?

My son's S9 has started doing the strangest thing. It's reading aloud aced button or screen presses. To get it to accept a click, you basically have to press an icon 3 times to get it to take it. Is this some sort of mode for the visually impaired or something? Any ideas how to get it off?

How can I organize Audio book files into sequential order? I originally tried 01, 02, -12. But after 08 or 09 the files only organize by title and the number is not shown. I have also tried letters A. B, ect and they do not show. I have tried 5 different players and all do this.
