What my iPhone using friend said about my EVO

I was talking with my friend about the new iPhone he is getting and he was saying how intuitive and awesome they are. He shows me turning on bluetooth as an example. I locked my phone, threw it to him and challenged him to enable bluetooth. He figured it out quick. Said the Mario wallpaper was sweet. Then said, "it seems easy...but its almost too much"...

I said thanks for the compliment.
 
I can actually see how this could be true for some people. I'm not your average tech consumer, so it's fun for me to delve into Android, but I guess I can see that it's a bit overwhelming for some people. I've had to tech some of my tech-******ed friends how to do some things on their Android phones. "Long press, I never would've thought've that" "Oh you can get rid of the clock?" Etc. They have it down now and it didn't take too terribly long thankfully. Maybe the Evo and/or Android is too much phone for some people. That's okay, they can go buy a Nokia Xpress Music phone and let the media dazzle them.
 
That kind of thinking is pretty much why Apple can sell a product with severe limitations and do extremely well. Android phones can do more, and is more customizable, but most people don't care. Unfortunate, but true. :D

Why is that unfortunate? Not everyone likes to **** with their phones all day, they just want one that does the things they need it to do and do it well. The iPhone does just that.
 
widgets make life so much easier. I say this because I used a windows phone for years and I can count the amount of times I wanted to throw it out the window. The iphone on the other hand is too simple and boring.
 
How is it to much? I does everything the iphone does just... faster. I would know I switched from iPhone to the evo and am very happy.
 
My Evo builds an island and transforms into a ****ing jet to fly me there.

My iPhone friends say they don't care.
 
One thing the iphone does not have is a big screen! I went back to my touch after a week of using my evo and DAMN that thing is small! I remember using my hero and thinking man I wish I had a screen the size of this ipod. The keyboards perfect, i can see full web pages yada yada. Introduce EVO. No compeition.

My buddy who has an iphone and preaches about the damn thing used my evo for about 10 minutes. He didn't say he liked it, although the smile on his face as he navigated through everything said it all :D He did start complaining a bit with things like, "I hate this clock why would you want that, or these widgets are stupid I don't like them" After instructing him to hold down on them and drag them to the bottom of the screen he shut his mouth. lol Can the iphone do that?
