Guys relax, he is busy taking pics of flying horses and cows. As soon as he is done he will post pics of his 005.
 
Wait,,,,they skipped 4? And went straight to 5? Pics would be nice with a little bit more info please.
 
I bought my phone on release day and after the update i no longer have the stock Android launcher im guessing on the newer builds they don't have it out the box now.

My replacement was build 002, but is very different than my launch day build 002. The edges of the phone aren't as angular, the bottom of the phone fits MUCH tighter (still a little light leakeage though), and I think the earpiece is slightly different as well (not as sharp of edges, more rounded off)
 
He's not trolling... I just picked up my ver. 0006, and out of the box it came with a 32GB SD card (gotta have the one with the bigger geebees, plus its got the wifies) and it gets 90 fps, but the reall kicker is that it came with FroYo installed. :-P

... I wish ...
 
Guys I just got Version #132 . It's sick. It evens wipes my butt.

There is no way a version 005 is out there yet.
 
if you don't use TS out, are you technically still "in"? I need some clarification... this thread got me excited about a possible 0005, now I just feel blueballed. Jackson?

That is a very good point. I'm glad to see someone still uses good logic.

If there is an 005 model out there, I think its time to replace my light leaking phone.

Build date is stamped in ink on the inside of the battery cover. Hold at an angle to light to see as they used black ink...

As for the hardware 0001 version, it was likely the alpha test version that never left HTC's labs.
 
I am real interested in the Version.

I am going to go get my 3rd EVO tonight from RS I really hope that it does not have the light leakage that the majority of us have experienced. If the Version is higher than 3 I will post that tonight with a picture to prove it.

I really doubt that HTC has fixed the problem this quick. I would also think that if they fixed the problem then they would put out a statement to save face. We will see.

Maybe OP will post some pictures soon so that we can verify this story.

Honestly its been what, almost a day now. Think about it, if you had a version 005, and no one else did, I sure as hell would take a pic and post it. Even if it was for bragging rights. Although I do like the idea that a 004 could be the white version of the Evo like the previous poster said. I smell a troll. And whats with the " . " posts OP?
