"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Just a thought here. For those that are following @droidlanding, do you think the times that he/she/it is posting the clues mean something?

That's an interesting thing to point out.

I'm going to hate myself if when they get found the riddles were actually so easy and obvious I couldn't figure them out...like a movie/book/whatever with a really good twist. ^_^

Agreed. I still like the buzz about it and hope somebody here actually finds one. Either way I am getting a X.

I haven't been a fan of MOTO in years, but I currently have the Droid Incredible and love it, wouldn't want another phone, BUT with that said the X looks like fun and I'd like to play around with it.

kk, I tipped off a friend from the radio station who's at Daytona this weekend for the race. He's walking around right now, looking for something from Verizon that would stand out. He's very into technology so if it's there, he'll see it. He said he'd bring it back to me since he's a big iPhone fan, but I doubt it...lol He'll probably keep it for himself. Either way...at least we'll be able to scratch it off our list. ^_~

PS: I love the new "Rule The Air" Verizon commercials on Hulu.

Droid X designate #2 is by west coast. Absorbing the extra sunshine in 720p.

West Coast... Either the hinter doesn't get paid enough, doesn't have a very good grasp of the English language, or that's a clue. While the first two are more probable, West Coast Choppers comes to mind. It's in Long Beach. However, that guess is way too random to get me to drive in L.A. traffic.

Lol seriously, I would brave LA traffic ONLY if I were guaranteed certain that the phone were at X location. Until then, I would rather wait 1.5 weeks and purchase the Droid X... LA traffic = :(

NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC.
Ames Research Center, Mountain View, CA.
Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, CA.
Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD.
Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena CA.
Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX.
Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA.
Lewis Research Center, Cleveland, OH.
Marshall Space Flight Center , Huntsville, AL.
Stennis Space Center , MS.
Kennedy Space Center , FL.

Here are the links from NASAs website for each space center they have. When you think about it, a lot of these places fit the clues, right?

It appears there is a Star Wars exhibit at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. I did not know this until I got here and they asked if that is what I was here for. Funny how Lucas Arts created Star Wars and has the rights to the Droid name.

I guess all these tweets have nothing to do with the fireworks or we would have a lot more clues today.

It's a really interesting idea, but the California locations don't seem to fit very well (however, that doesn't say anything for the others).

None of them are at higher altitude. I liked the Ames Research Center, but that doesn't seem to fit. I have a close friend that works at JPL, and I told him this morning to tell me if he saw anything having to do with cell phones, Verizon, Google, or Moto. And I don't know many people that would drive out to Edwards AFB for a phone. :-/

If your in Chicago, you might want to check out the giant eye sculpture.

That sounds like you could be getting pretty warm. Keep your eyes out for the eye. :D

Why would it have to be there?

Why would it have to be there?

guess you have to see for yourself? ....Science center has NASA inside of it...with tons of displays....the lighthouse eye looks similar to the droid eye...#12 is in the buckeye state....the sceience center is right next to the rock hall....#12 has no choice but to rock....

Droid X designate #17 can take just about anything you throw at it. Just like the people where it landed.
