What is the sprint referral program?

I was looking at this blog and saw something about a referral program for sprint. It told me to enter some guys email and code and you would get discounts. I currently have a 4 line everything plus data share plan. I was wondering if I can get this discount even though 2 of the 4 lines are still under contract. Also, could I use the Evo with this plan? Do you guys get what this is? Here's the site

My understanding is you can't sign up for this after you are already a customer. I could be wrong though.

I had a SERO acct and when I opened up a new line for my EVO, the rep put me on the EPRP plan. He was going to try to put me on the $69.99 plan and I told him nope, I want the EPRP plan and all he had to do was check the box and we were done.

Could I cancel one of the lines I have that aren't under contract and then add it again to get the discount. If I could do that, would I lose the number?
