Any application (or way) to record FM audio on Droid Inc.

I'm not aware of any applications that would do this. You could always use an aux (headphone) cable, plug it into your computer line-in and just record it on there if you need to.

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, I will be in the audience at a convention and won't have my laptop but will have my phone. Parts of the convention are broadcast over FM for recording and those that are hard of hearing.
 
Try opening the voice recorder app and start it recording BEFORE you start the FM stream - that may work.

No dice. When you start the recorder and then start the FM radio the recorder shuts off. If you go back to recorder and re-start it the FM radio shuts off.
 
Dang. I knew that would work to record a phone call... Ah well, it didn't cost anything to try.
 
bump any improvements in this, I too want to record the FM radio (tuner) songs while listening, is there not any app for android, mine is samsung galaxy 551
 
I was just contemplating developing an app to do this. Considering there's nothing in the market that does this, it may not be possible...

Well, apparently, the fm tuner isn't part of the standard android SDK. I have an APK from the stock fm radio app on the droid x, and may be able to come up with a way to reverse-engineer and write an app to play/record from the radio, but until it's part of the Android SDK, that app probably wouldn't work on a Galaxy 551.

Hello Brother u may want to go buy a $30.00 Mp3 player that can record from fm radio, thats what we r doing. buy 2, battary will just last morning, will need another 1 for afternoon
