I guess you beat my sister by just a little bit, I told her to go to minute maid park and when she was on her way running in the middle of the streets she misunderstood and went in front of the convention center to look under the benches instead of going accross the street. Haha! Yeah! I spent quite a lot of time down there. My company collected all of the data (addresses, roads, and such) and made the software for Brown County's new (well, not so new now) E911 mapping system.
My friend was there. He said it was under the seat of a kayak. He checked the kayak but never tried pulling the seat out. Damn.

Who in their right mind would try pulling the seat out? Seriously, is that where they hid it? They might be asking for trouble when someone starts breaking stuff. The one under the gumball machine could have caused it to fall over, then what? Would VZW pay for a new one? Let's be smart here people, FCOL!

So I got my text tweet saying its in Bricktown and after looking at all the posts I figured "hitting" wasn't part so it wouldn't be at the ball park, so my next guess was the cannal which after receiving the GPS clue was wrong. Turns out the droid was actually at the Chesapeke Boat House, which is a Olympic training facility and my last choice of where it would be. So took a 5 min. drive through traffic to the boat house, which was packed due to training or something needless to say there was nowhere to park.
After arriving and parking across the street about 30 people where walking around searching, after a few minutes of walking around you could see a guy with a video camera and 2 guys sitting watching who were obviously not their to train so was obvious they were the Verizon employees. After figuring it out that it was around them they had lots of boats out and stuff and that was about it as it was all just grass with no trash cans or really anything around. So then figured it has to be in a boat, as I begin my search as well as a few other a lady yells at us saying not to touch the boats. Then while she yells that I see the two Verizon guys talking looking like Uh-oh cause they had hide it in a boat.
Well after about 10 minutes everyone was just kinda standing around cause their was nowhere to look because the only thing left un-turned was the boats so a few of us just kinda kicked at the boats to see if it was under it and just walked along. Well towards the end some guy came running up the street obviously just getting there and started getting in the boats so I was like fine I will to, so I started looking in the boats without physically touching them trying to look as far back as I could but couldn't see anything and I only focused on one of the boats that was right side up cause it was out of place like it was moved their for no reason so I just kinda stood by it trying to figure out where it would be. At about this time the dude who just showed up had torn 2 of the small boats apart and was coming for the one behind me, the second he flips it over and rips the seat out it falls out!
Needless to say alot of us where very pissed because they kept telling us to not touch the boats yet the rep had hide the card underneath the seat so you couldn't just see it.
They said we are sorry but their is nothing we can do since it's found now. Just turns me off on the whole situation cause they had obviously not talked to the person in charge and said hey where holding a contest. Needless to say I walked away with a gift card when I was 3cm away from a Droid X

If you remember correctly that was part of the final clue right before they gave the coordinates. All the clues prior to july 7th are totally irrelevant. They were only meant to give us the cities the droids would be hidden in. Im pretty sure everyone on here realized this a long time ago.

Like had they done it at some other time it would have not been bad but the area they did it at isn't great. There tearing up the highway right their (I-40) and also with them having a event alot of people from their where pissed that they couldn't park cause some people just left their cars in the middle of the parking lot in the begging cause their was no parking anywhere. I was though suprised by the turn out, there was atleast 30-40+ people there looking. Just sucks how your promotions department can't get a promo out right I know alot of people got on their phones right after the contest was over to call and complain to Verizon

I was standing their like I was so close to the phone when he pulled the certificate out I didn't even have to move cause they walked over talked to him and then started handing out the gift cards once I got mine I left was to hot to stand out their. Even the guy who found it said he needed some water and the Verizon guy just laughed
I was about 5 minutes too late for the one in Cleveland. I got a gift card at least. And The Corner Alley is quite the nice establishment. It's a restaurant with several bowling lanes and a couple pool tables. The certificate was apparently stuffed into the hole of one of the bowling balls. A guy who had been waiting downtown since 11 AM found it. And he had driven here from Toledo. I got to play around with a DX for a little bit and while it's a little bigger than I was hoping, it was very thin and felt very solid.

I arrived 8 minutes after coords were tweeted. Coord tweeted at 1:41 arrived at location 1:49. Ran inside only to see dude signing his pprwrk. Was told that gift certificated had already run out. Tweet said he found it at 1:51....lies. he had to have found it within 2 or 3 min tops. Kinda pissed I ran .8 miles for nothing. Its all about who's closest when coords are given. Luck and only luck. While it was fun at first, VZW made it into a bullsquat game, and I for 1 am not a happy customer right now
Just one more note about NE2. They are not going to let you use the $100 NE2 and the $100 rebate. So, it really doesn't matter where you buy it. When there's a rebate involved they give you up to $100 and this rebate is for the entire $100.
Is that right? Either way, Best Buy is an authorized seller and doesn't accept the NE2.

i went after #20 and #13 Both in 4-5hr drive for me i live in upstate CNY in the middle of everything small county side town (i live about 3 hrs from all the boreds of the diff. bigger cities and towns NYC 3hrs, Ohio 3hrs, Boston 3-4hrs, Buffalo 4hrs, ect suxs)
#13 hunt 7/13 - went really alot better then hunt for #20 but anyways heres how it went to bed at midnight woke up at 4am went to buffalo NY HSBC building cause thats where i though it maybe, then after talking to the security guard he goes that sound like city hall i told him the clues to place i was look then i asked him one more thing what is the best place to eat or most popular area to go to around here he said the anchor bar so i said thank you and headed for city hall on my way there i asked the locals how is anchors bar they told me not to go there its in a bad part of the city n stuff is bad they told me to have wings from just pizza but anyways so here i was all day at city hall looking up down left 2 right watching people hoping to see a bag or something but nothing then it went live searched the place again i seen other people checking it out and the court building then got the GPS which lead us to Anchors Bar wishing i just went to the f*** bar in the first place ran to the train to hope n just left the station so ran 12 blocks or better locals ya the bar 3 more blocks ask again ya 3 more blocks and people finally got close where running off the side streets lol fun race guys just to have find out some one drove there in 15mins after GPS went off should of got a cab.. darn so much or should have just not listen to the ppl that said it was bad n just went so ugh i could been sitting there all day (also hit a traffic jam on the way up was in park on the thru-way) on the way back home hit the rain storm had to get off take back roads home.. hey least i found the place one of the few to play with the phone b4 it hits the streets and no 20$ gift card for me
#20 really bad bad hunt my 1st hunt was for #20 in Boston i thought it be in cheers so eat lunch there hoping it go off in there but course it did not when it went live started driving around from common park to the gps but it write in the GPS like that sent me on a wild guess chase ended up telling my g/f to get out and walk cuz we kept circle the same block she got out with the gps me in the car took off no place to park with one way street got lost and could not find her for about 2hrs i had no gps on me and to many left turns (thats was very true in the clues ugh)left turn got so lost then it started thunder n lighten while she was still stuck out in the storm i was still lost asking ppl for directions was no help just got further and further lost also the gps they sent us was underground tunnel we where above ground so wild goes chase raining lost scared cold lost in a big metro city not cool at all in my book finally had the bright idea to download GPS to the cell and had to find her that way o and the GPS takes awhile to update going around one block cuz you have to keep turning and gps could not keep up with it so had to go wicked slow down the streets so GPS could keep up. what a bad day that was she hates me know for that and we never mad it to the john hooks fish meat market total mess then went home in the pouring rain with street flood and backed up do to car accidents!!!
and so far i have walked away with nothing!!!

...it was just a race to see who could grab it first. That kid and his father both looked upset. I bet the kid ends up with one anyway. At least I got my $20.00 gift card. Only need 28 more to get a Droid X.
Yea, I'm still kicking myself a little. If I had run to my car instead of those 4 blocks I probably would have gotten there 1st. Oh well.
I'd be upset too if it was taken away from me, but rules are rules. Bummer
