Is Froyo available?

Hi all,
Just want to say that i'v kept up with a bunch of news regarding the release of 2.2 for the Motorola Droid. Can anyone tell me for sure if Froyo is available for upgrade on the Motorola Droid? Thanks in advance
It is not yet available (unless your rooted) and there is currently no official announcement of a date. Wish I could be more helpful.
