Apps/Games for Galaxy S

Hi All,

Though Galaxy S has got the gorgeous Super AMOLED display and good GPU which is capable of 50FPS, I dont see a whole lot of games developed by Premium Game makers (like EA, Gameloft).

Also, any game playable with Android 2.1 is compatible with Galaxy S or do we need games specifically developed for Galaxy S?

Their shouldn't be a reason why they wouldn't. Top of the range hardware on every level at the moment..

I think the biggest problem is Gameloft's hesitance to put many of their games on android market.

TBH I had no idea about the sort of games they developed as I have always been on android but having checked out there website I am a little annoyed that the whole selection isn't available not to mention they dont have an option for samsung phone makes.

Fifa 2010 installed but won't download content, always stuck at 5%.

Gangster doesnt work on Galaxy S, never heard of ExZeus.

well I got there in the end had to make sure wifi was turned on and I just selected 'htc desire' as my phone make and model and now ive got gangster on my galaxy which looks amazing...!!!

Try Asphalt 5 from gameloft. $5 on the market but worth it. If you dont like it, get a refund within 24hrs. Pretty much only the Samsung S can play that game other than maybe the droid/milestone given the graphics requirements.

Heavy Gunner is a graphics showcase and not much else.

Really? I love heavy gunner.

One of the main problem is that Google market paid apps are only available in certain countries. So if you are not living in those countries, you can't see them. However, there's a way around it. Download an app called My Market from the marketplace. You can then choose which region you want to browse.
