Froyo

I'm not sure yet. I'm still kind of on the fence between the Incredible, X, and the Droid 2. It's a tough choice because all 3 seem to be awesome devices.

I'll wait for my two year upgrade. The droid 2 looks like a pitiful excuse of an upgrade infected with blur. I'll just wait and drool over the new features the new phones get while hoping that one of them will be free of a manufacturer UI and encrypted boot loader.

It may be a mere pipe dream, but hopefully someone will make a true spiritual successor to the Moto Droid.
 
Take it for what it's worth but I just called into Verizon to see if anyone could tell me when Froyo (2.2) is being sent out to the Motorola Droid. One woman told me anywhere between August 3rd to August 13th.
 
I totaly called it lol. froyo won't start going out untill we give up. can't you see verizon always waits till ur like "i give up :(" and then ur phones like "FROYO AVAILABLE", like boot camp or somthing, mold you into a better end-user.

I've got the update waiting to be installed. Tempted to wait for a couple of hours, though, b/c I don't feel like fussing with SBFs and such in order to get rooted again, plus I love my OC, plus I am not sure if this will break anything I have or not.
 
Just FYI, Trident has a sticky for anyone that gets the OTA. PLEASE SHARE!!!! I'm gettin all OCD. And i already have ADD so not a good combina....oh look, a butterfly.
