After reading this thread I decided to turn on my 4g toggle and while I was driving to pick up my kids... BAM... I received a 4g signal in Apple Valley. It was at McAndrews and Cedar Ave where I got full bar service at. Of course weaker further way from that cross section.

Yay!! Closer, closer...

I know there is already a thread about 4G in Orlando, but lets be honest, Tampa Bay deserves it's own thread :D

I decided to turn on my 4G radio on the way to work this morning and see what i picked up. On my drive from Pasco to St. Pete via 275 I got full bars of 4G from Busch to MLK on 275, and then from downtown all the way down the Howard Franklin Bridge on 275! When I was crossing the bay the signal wavered, but I was able to stream my slacker radio the whole time!!!

Sadly, still no 4G reception up in Pasco... but I'm still holding out hope!!

Anyone else starting to pick up 4G in the bay area? (I use the term loosely to include hillsborough, pasco, pinellas etc)

Screenshot or pics of the test(s)?

FWIW it's long been reported that Sprint/Clear has the upstream capped at 1mbps. Curious if they've forgotten or are doing away with that...?

It's usually that way during beta testing as soon as its finalized the cap comes into play..

During the updates in Atlanta when they were adding back haul, we got 30 down and 5 up for 2 days I cried a lil bit when they capped it.

The needle would just pin on the mobile speedtest on the EVO

They are suppose to increase speeds by 25-30% soon I am hoping the cap goes up on the upload side a bit

Clearwater here..... will have to check it out!!

Yeah, they're putting up the towers, so you may occasionally get the "4G network available", but i guess you won't be able to connect to it until the network goes live.

Yep.. I'm by 2nd St and 2nd Ave NW and I get 4G Available all the time.. It just never connects... I'm hoping they go live soon...

lol lucky .. i have yet to receive the notification .. I went to sprint web site and saw that there was 2 future towers . so that might be the 4G towers ...

Trinity here, I've been checking off and on for the last several weeks from Trinity down into north & mid Pinellas and have never seen 4G.

I was driving down the Tpke yesterday and around Riveria Beach I had 4g coverage - briefly. Maybe soon to come to south Florida

A friend of mine told me by the begining of october... i'm out and wellington and he told me I should be in range. Hopefully he's not just blowing smoke.

I am able to pick up 4g in Altamonte and Maitland, but no 4g where I live at in Longwood . I understand its in a testing phase now , but is this a sign of things to come ? Are only a few towers tested during this phase ?

Also outside my building at work in Maitland I get an Excellent , but inside nothing. Can 4g penetrate inside buildings at all ? You would figure since I'm getting excellent 4g I outside I would get something at least inside.

would be nice but i dont see anything for the whole state of florida.. i know they have towers or whatever installed in Miami already but have not activated them. this came from our Sprint rep which has always given good info to us.

im in Delray Beach

Yesterday I got a strong 4g signal in Anaheim all night (Lincoln & Citron). It also stayed strong during a trip to Costco in Fullerton (Harbor & Orangethorpe). Didn't test though

I live in Miami and I have yet to see a 4G notification POP up .. Others have claim that they been able to in Miami but not connect ... Hopefully it does come soon for us here in Florida ..
