What did you name your Moment?

Has anyone else named their Moment?

I typically don't name things, other than my motorcycle (Gabby, FWIW). But, thanks to cfrock, I've decided to name my little guy Data.

Yes, it's trekker geekery, but I think it's perfect!

1. The OS is Android, Data's an android.
2. The phone is in it's infancy and trying to get better, Data was constantly trying to get better as well.
3. The moment has an evil, slightly more advanced brother (Droid), Data has an EVIL, slightly more advanced brother (LORE).


How about anyone else? Reasoning?
 
I think I'm going to steal "Deep Thought" from the other thread for mine. At my company we name our monthly software releases, this year we decided to use sentient computers with ill-intentions for humanity (I'm proud to say that this was originally my idea). We started with computers like SkyNet, and our last (and least ill-intentioned) was Deep Thought (we were going with the chess computer, not the HGTTG computer... although for my phone it'll be a HGTTG reference). Good times!
 
The first day I showed the phone to my wife she said "wow that's big" and I was like ok but what about the phone? Lol imma call this thing big boy.

lmao i did the same thing with a girl at school.

i think i'll name mine CAP, which stands for Cool Ass Phone.

I'll go with Windows Mobile Sucks so every time I think of my phone it will remind me of past experience and that windows mobile sucks. Did I mention that windows mobile sucks? Because it does. Windows mobile sucks, really!

I thought it was appropriate too! I wasn't sure non-Star Trek peeps would get the Data Android connection. Glad I could help.
 
Of course, anything with as much personality as a smart phone, begs for a name.

Two of the same model of any smartphones come out of the box with nearly identical personalities, differentiated only by minor manufacturing differences. But once we finish customizing, grooming, tweaking, and otherwise personalizing our phones, they have as distinctive personalities as any two people.

All of my smartphones have deserved to have their own name.
 
Never named a phone before, but there is always a first! I'll probably name it Nacho. My cat is Nugget, so I will stick with the food theme I got going on.
 
I just got my moment today and think that Moment is a pretty weak name for the phone..I am very thankful that my case covers the "moment" lettering on the back of the phone.

I've named my motorcycles and cars, but never a phone. I've thought about what to say when people ask me what phone I have and I had planned to say "una momento"...so that will be it's name.

I'm naming mine... Bacon. For... semi-obvious reason. Bacon is tasty, and I think this phone looks good enough to eat. That and I love bacon... excessivly... BRBBACON

I like your way of thinking, but I'm leaning more towards "B-4", since this is my first foray in to an Android phone (I know he was the third Soong-type, but I don't think the first two were ever actually mentioned by name), and I've also got two younger brothers who tend to follow after me, gadget wise, so I can potentially leave "Lore" and "Data" for them.

edit: there is also the little play on the chronological theme between "Moment" and "B-4".
