Where are all you incredible owners from?

Fishkill, NY. Which is about 1 1/2 hours north of New York city. I know a bunch of people who have Droids but no one else who has an Incredible.
 
Jersey here too (From Morris Co but often found in Monmouth, Ocean, and Atlantic Counties, when not traveling the country, spreading the good word about the place I call home).

Yes, for those of you outsiders who are wondering, New Jersey is EXACTLY what you would gather by watching Jersey Shore and The Soprano's.

The fist pumping commemorative license plates are currently being sent to the printer.

How accurate or not accurate is that show?
Is it embarrassing to be from there now given the show's "fame"?

I can't stand that show or its characters. I'd love to punch all those guys in face a couple dozen times. and send the hideous snooki to back to the planet she came from.

I'd consider it more of a documentary - they really try to capture the essence of the area as a whole.

That show is not indicative of the Jersey Shore at all! It is one town that basically becomes "Brooklyn South" for 3 months of the year and the locals (for the most part) hate it but it drives the economy!

What you do not see on the show is that MTV has to pay a staff of Seaside cops to stay with the "characters" of the show because nobody wants them there and they are constantly being told to go back where they came from and causing problems!

Just a few miles north (Lavallette, Chadwick Beach, Mantoloking) and a few miles south across Barnegat Inlet (Long Beach Island) of Seaside Heights is some very expensive real estate. Most beach front property in the towns I mentioned is well into the single digit millions and in some cases (Mantoloking and Long Beach Island) it is into the double digit millions.

It is yet another very poor depiction of the state as a whole!! Don't believe the hype!!

not at all accurate, the people they call actors and actresses aren't even from Jersey they are all from NYC. I have a lot of family in Jersey ( Brick and Pt Pleasant area) they are an insult to real Italians everywhere. that show is made for the naive MTV Kiddies.

C'mon!!

"Essence of the area as a whole"?

That could not be further from the essence of the area! Almost the entire show is filmed in a small 1 or 2 square mile area of the Seaside boardwalk unless they go into Toms River for something! You go 3 miles in any direction and the entire atmosphere pretty much changes.
 
How did this thread become a "Jersey shore" love/hate thread, and why should the rest of us that don't live in those 2 sq miles care? :confused: :D
