I'm here in Little Rock, AR, and I got a notice from Fed Ex on my door. Unfortunately I wasn't there to sign for the package, but I'll be picking it up in a few minutes.

I ordered in a Verizon store on 8/13. I'm so glad that I finally received my device.

Well, about an hour after I spoke with a "supervisor" I all of a sudden got the shipping info. According to FEDEX, it should be here tomorrow with overnight shipping. Coincidence or not, I'm happy it's finally being shipped. I can't wait.
 
Verizon is now showing 9/10 as the shipping date for the X. It keeps getting pushed out as if demand still exceeds supply.
 
I also ordered on August 12th and haven't received any shipping information. So I called CS for the 15th time and she said it was shipped today.

So even though I gave them my email address, I was never emailed with shipping info. But it was shipped and I will be receiving it on the 30th. The CS Rep was nice and texted me the shipping info. Finally! :rolleyes:


Update: Shipped from Ontario, CA .... WTF
 
never got a shipment notification! BUT i missed the fed ex truck todaY!!!

knowing my luck, its prolly the thank you package and not the phone HAHA
 
I just spoke to a CSR today and was told that my wife's X, ordered on 8/20, will be shipped on 9/7. I asked why some people have ordered an X and received it by now. She just said that it should be shipped by 9/7.
 
bahhh....now I've got this sitting on my desk with still a week to go until the ship-by date :mad:

You can also sign a note or door tag letting them know it's okay to leave your package at your door, and here at least (Ukiah, CA FedEx Facility) I have gone in and picked up a package before delivery was attempted.
 
Ordered my second phone on Aug 11. First one came in on the same day with a bad pixel. New phone came in on the 25. No issues and I love it. Came from a bb storm.

Only thing I don't like about this phone so far is when you go to messaging, it has all your external email accounts and text messages except for GMail... what the heck? Should that not be a part of it. It just seems lame that I have to go to two different places for that.

But yea... awesome phone... makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.
 
Ordered mine on the 2nd through my job. Other people got their phones yesterday the 26th that did not purchase the X. I was also told the X was on back order til around 9/7. I've just been taking out all the stress on my Omnia...
 
I was told when I ordered the droid x that it would be shipped on the 24th so I put my Eris on Ebay. Afterward, I received an email that shipping on the x was delayed until 9/7. In the meantime my Eris sold and I am struggling along with my Blackberry. It seems like such a dinosaur now!

Same here.

Each time I called they say something different with respect to the shipping method. Is it over-night or second-day?

Granted I got the second-day answer twice, so it is most likely accurate.

How does a person that orders on the 21st get theirs on the 25th, when I ordered mine on the 17th and won't get it until Sept. 2nd?
 
yes, very amazing.... i havent called yet, but i think i might... i just hope the damn thing ships on the 31st st least... i think i've read where some peoples have not shipped by their "ship by" date..... hope this is not the case..
 
I just can't believe some people are getting them delivered without receiving shipping confirmation email.. Every time I hear a truck out front, I book to the front door, only to be fooled by UPS, school buses, or landscaping trucks. Ordered mine on 8/21, ship date is 9/7. Funny, on 8/20 it stated ship date of 8/31. Can one day really make 1 week difference in ship delay?

It was sent 2 day Fed Ex. Yep, and it will be here four days after Fed Ex got it. I could have driven to Ca and back in that time. Still, it's finally gonna be here and it will be here before their original ship date, which was the 31st.

BAHHH... just got shippin info...won't be here until tuesday! it ships from ontario and I'm like 10 minutes away! Wish I could just go down to the place and grab it :-P
