What does yours get?
I get in the high 1500's and low 1600's with quadrant.
Quadrant is pretty useless as a real benchmark really, it's too easy to manipulate. I saw a 3600 on a nexus one and in the high 2000's on EVO's. When you see the score broken into the individual tests the Droid X isn't so impressive...at least on 2.1, I don't know how it does on 2.2. I know the total score is only a couple hundred points higher, and if the I/O portion of the test is still doing the same thing as it was on 2.1, it would seem it's hardly gaining any performance boost from 2.2
Linpack is a better measure of CPU performance imo, but people found a way to cheat with that too.
Benchmarks are fun, but I'll take my Incredible over a droid x anytime after playing with one.

It's just like improving performance on your computer. Don't have other apps running, no live wallpaper, don't have it updating/syncing anything, etc. and yes, overclocking can make a huge diff.

The lowest I've gotten so far is 1290. I've gotten 1290, 1313, 1320, and 1365 EDIT: I installed the leaked RUU 2 days ago. I'm not rooted.

Ya know Juicy, I remember when the Eris got updated OTA to 2.1, people were complaining about choppy behavior and wound up fixing it with a Factory Reset!
You MAY be prophetic going RUU instead! I am interested in seeing how things progress over the next few days and weeks on this topic!
lol true story, Frisco became a God over in the Eris threads for encouraging those to factory restore upon the OTA2.1 arrival. I would STRESS this same encouragement going from 2.1 to 2.2, to the point that it actually surprises me that Verizon doesn't suggest doing so upon any problems, or make it a wipe install.

The OTA, if I'm not mistaking would only overwrite a few files in your phone and be done. The RUU, completely wipes everything clean and puts everything back on the phone. Seems to me that like that would be a better bet, but I could be wrong. If you do the OTA, I definitely recommend hard reseting.

Megauploader is pretty slow however, the above linked exe will download a lot faster.
Just connect the phone to your computer and run the EXE from your computer.
I believe I had the phone set to Disk Drive and Enable USB Debugging.
If you get a USB Error install HTC Sync.

Yeah the x only saw about a 20% boost in my case with the 2.2 leak. But its not a final build. I am waiting on my incredible to get it OTA but it seems like its getting over 100% increase on scores from other peoples posts. I wonder why the dx isn't seeing that much of a boost.

I'm rooted and installed the Lite version of the official ROM and the 2.15 radio. I get about 1300-ish.
No, it's a stock install. It has everything.
I am trying to install the RUU update but it cannot find the phone. The USB cable is connected to the phone and to the computer. In windows, I can see the two drives from the phone. I think it has something to do with the drivers. Does anyone know where I can download the correct drivers so the ruu will find the phone? Thanks!!
So should I be backing up my apps before using RUU or factory reset? If so, how do people go about doing that?

Do you want to keep your stuff or do you want to start fresh?
I installed using the ROM on the SD card method and it clear everything and installed a fresh copy. I like doing the setup as if it came out of the box.
this is exactly the rom and version contained in the OTA? And it will keep all my apps on my phone?
Other than not having to wait for the OTA, are their other advantages to installing the leaked RUU rom? Disadvantage to installing the RUU rather than the OTA?
